There was nothing but calmness – that particular feeling of being carried by the wind as all of your problems drifts away to be lost and forgotten.
In the middle of darkness, there was nothing – nothing at all. Not a sound to be heard, not a fraction of light to be seen – there's only emptiness and silence.
Darius slowly opened his purple eyes.
"Finally," the young woman smiled as she sat behind the ravenette.
"How are you feeling?" the young woman asked.
Darius swallowed the lump forming in his throat. Oddly enough, he can't feel any pain when he was supposed.
He remembered feeling sore after fighting the serpent, he was breathing heavily as his lungs burned like the coals in the fireplace.
He even remembered slowly losing consciousness and losing control of his limbs.
But none of those existed, he can no longer feel those familiar sensations.
