Author POV
Diego immediately got out of bed, still shirtless. So the three men in front of him began to speculate about what happened between a woman and a man who were in the same room and slept together in the same bed.
"What have you done to Rowena? You bastard!" asked Prince Helios while cursing at Diego.
Diego immediately turned to Rowena and confirmed the woman's condition. The first thing he saw was Rowena who was still lying unconscious while shedding tears continuously. It seems like a memory pierce magic ritual, making Rowena's mana explode so that she is still unconscious and the memories she'd been wanting to bury deep down came back when Diego entered her mind, that's why she kept shedding tears even though she was still unconscious self.
"Why hasn't Rowena woken up earlier? What have you done to my beloved sister? Why don't you put on your clothes and lie down with Rowena lovingly while holding her hands?" Sir Damian charged at Diego with all sorts of questions.
"Oh my, Sir Damian! I didn't do anything immoral as you think. I was just trying to get rid of the poison left in Rowena's body. She will wake up in a week," Diego replied calmly.
"Huh? What do you mean by poison? Since when did my sister drink such things? Isn't poison a forbidden item in Sunverro?" said Diego who looked panicked and confused.
Diego smiled slightly and looked at Prince Helios who seemed to be starting to panic. "In that case you can ask Helios over there."
Sir Damian turned his head back and glared at Prince Helios then gripped his good friend's shoulder tightly. "Try to explain what Prince Diego's words mean, my dear and honorable friend?"
Prince Helios just smiled and immediately ran out of Rowena's room. Sir Damian came out of Rowena's room to chase the runaway Prince Helios. Now only the unconscious Rowena, Prince Diego and Sir Cedric were left.
"Actually what happened to Rowena? You can tell me honestly, Your Highness Prince Diego," said Sir Cedric who already knew that Diego's reasoning was just a lie he made.
"Rowena's mana exploded from interacting with my mana. She'll be awake in about a week. When she wakes up, please tell her that I trust her and I'll help her even if she refuses." Diego immediately left Rowena's room and out of the woman's residence, leaving Sir Cedric in there.
One week passed quickly and according to Diego's words, Rowena finally came back to her senses from her long slumber. Her brother immediately attacked her with various questions and accusations which Rowena quickly dismissed.
As soon as she regained consciousness, Rowena received word that Diego had returned to Odelette and that Sir Cedric had also conveyed a message from Diego to her.
Spending a week unconscious, left Rowena's work piling up a lot. Including the many invitations that came to her residence during that week. After looking through the contents of the invitation, Rowena decided to attend the tea party celebrated by the empress. It just so happened that the tea party would also be held tomorrow.
The next day the maids at Rowena's residence began to be busy because they had to prepare and make up for her master so that she became the most beautiful woman at the tea party. Seeing her servants confused about choosing the right dress to wear, Rowena also remembered that a few days after Diego's return to Odelette. The man sent Rowena a box containing jewelry and a dress that was said to be one of the clothes her mother had left at Odelette.
Rowena also asked her servants to dress her. Her servants quickly helped him to get dressed and put on makeup and didn't forget to do her hair. Finally Rowena had finished the two torturous hours. Now she was ready to attend the tea party held at the palace.
Arriving at the empress's palace, Rowena who wore a white dress with no sleeves and the waist down that did not expand, then the back was exposed, and a light blue silk cloth wrapped around her hands, and did not forget the colorful flower crowns on her head, Rowena gracefully entered the empress's greenhouse.
All eyes were on him as Rowena entered the greenhouse. All the women there who were sitting got up from their chairs and saluted Rowena, except the Empress.
"We salute the only Grand Duchess in Sunverro. May God always bless you."
"Thank you for the welcome. May you also always be in the protection of God," replied Rowena.
The Empress looked a little surprised when she saw Rowena, but she immediately smiled and greeted Rowena. "It's my honor that the famous Grand Duchess is so busy that she's willing to leave her residence to attend my tea party."
Rowena sat down in an empty chair which was near the Empress' seat. "It is an honor for me to be invited to a tea party hosted by you, Your Majesty."
The tea party began. The ladies present began to chat with each other. There are also those who are trying to get the attention of the empress. It was very different from Rowena who just kept quiet and enjoyed the tea and snacks provided.
"Your Majesty the Grand Duchess, the dress you are wearing today looks very unique," said one of the duchess.
Actually, what the lady said was that she was mocking Rowena's dress because in Sunverro no woman wore a sleeveless dress and exposed her back because it was considered rude. Rowena who understood the ridicule hidden from those words just smiled.
"Does this dress not suit me?"
"Actually, in my opinion, as a noble it is very unethical to wear a dress like that. Maybe the only people who wear dresses like this are poor people from a kingdom that is dishonorable and poor," said the lady, followed by laughter from the ladies of the other nobles.
The Empress looked at the mistress with a look of hatred, while Rowena just smiled.
"Actually this dress comes from the Odelette empire, where the Empress was born. I got this dress from Diego a few days ago. So, I decided to wear this dress in a tea party which happened to be held by Her Majesty the Empress in honor of her homeland," replied Rowena with calm down and don't forget to smile.
The face of a guest there was pale. The atmosphere suddenly became quiet. The palest one there was the madam who had just insulted Rowena because she indirectly insulted the Empress' birthplace.
