As the sound of cracking can be heard from the egg, at the same time it emitted blinding rays of light, making Austin cover his eyes with his hands.

Hearing the gentle cry, Austin removed his hands from his face. Seeing his first pokemon and partner staring at him curiously, he couldn't help a giddy smile blooming on his face, as he introduced himself to Oddish.
"Hello Oddish, I'm Austin! I will be your pokemon trainer from now on, I hope we get along!"
"Oddish~!" Oddish chimed in happily, then proceeds to jump onto Austin's arms and cuddled with him. Seeing his Oddish acting this cutely, he couldn't help the thought of letting him evolve into a Bellossom instead of a Vileplume, but quickly mentally shakes his head as he is not in a timeline to choose freely. Surviving is still the best for him right now. He looks at his brothers and their pokemon before dashing out heading towards the kitchen to get the Moomoo milk mixed with minced berry, to feed his newborn Oddish. He doesn't know how it taste and he doesn't plan to know, Ansel describing it is enough along with Samael's shiver.
"Oddish~!" cried the pokemon happily, after finishing it's first meal it then began dozing off and jumped towards Austin's arms and fell asleep there.
"It will mostly just eat and sleep this week, next week it'll start wandering off at night and if the surrounding is safe, in which it is here, it will sun bath in the morning, don't worry, when this happens my Vileplume will entertain it and guide it, so that you can focus on learning tomorrow after you're done picking a Pokemon egg in the nursery" Samael said to which Austin nodded still focused on the surreal feeling of having his very own pokemon, and that yes he is somewhat in a parallel pokemon universe.
"What type of pokemons are currently in the Clan's nursery?"
"Well...to be honest with you, those eggs are just randomly picked from different places" Samael said with an awkward smile decorating his face. "Their the eggs that clan members randomly managed to find and decided to donate it to the clan, the Patriarch thinking it's humorous to have a lottery process when it came to our second pokemon, that's why we get to have our second pokemon so fast." Said Samael with distaste. Why do I feel like you've just revealed one of our patriarch's dark history?
"You should head to bed now, you'll be busy starting tomorrow, I'll go and borrow a computer from the library tomorrow, so that if you need to search something online you won't have to go back and forth from here" Ansel said to which I just obeyed as it's been a long day for his child body and slept like a log the whole evening.

Austin is awakened by a loud cry and someone hitting his abdomen, early in the morning. As he opened his eyes and looked downwards he saw his Oddish happily kicking him awake.

After the... eventful morning with Oddish, he then cleaned himself, as the person sent by the patriarch will be here in about half an hour, he spent his time playing with his Oddish and waiting for a certain system's message.
A few minutes later, a familiar screen appeared in front of him.

Seeing this, Austin was startled. 'Number four, does that mean, there's more?'

Austin could only heave a deep breath and sign, he then proceeds to think of the present instead of dwelling in the past. With this he started to feel weird and asked a question he himself is not sure of.
'System why is it that I'm too calm? We're in the middle of war yet why do I feel nothing other than my family's safety?'
