Chapter 4 - Chapter 3- Fathers protection

Some time had passed after the fight with the ancient velvet spider, Alby and Lucas was now directly in the middle of the forest, they had been collecting all types of cores from some of the many creatures surrounding the forest.

"Father, now that we have collected all these cores what are they for?

Why have I been recognised by the Velvet spider's core?

I have so many questions would you be able to answer them before you leave me alone in the place you're planning on taking me?"

Alby had a-lot of questions that he wanted answering, all with hopes that Lucas would answer all of them that was racing through his head causing Alby to have a headache.

Suddenly an extreme cold wind blew past Alby and Lucas, within that cold wind Lucas felt a surge of killing intent aimed at Alby from a distance.

Lucas stopped in his tracks, his face dropped with anger, his body shook.

"Father why have you stopped, did you step in poo again? if you want it wiping you can do that yourself."

Alby joked without knowing the situation as he is still unable to use mana nor sense mana.

"Alby, when I say run I want you to run directly 300 yards in front of us, there you will see a tree with a purple mana stone, take this and stab that stone then do not move a single Inch."

Lucas pulled out a sharp green tipped knife, he gave this knife to Alby then held onto his shoulder.

"Alby get ready to run for your life."

Lucas stepped forward in the direction to where the cold killing intent came from, his body exerted so much mana his clothes began to flap aggressively in the wind, the trees around him began to shake and shudder as if an aggressive earth quake had appeared out of nowhere.

"You, How dare you aim your desperation at my son, if you dare then face me."

With much force that came from Lucas's voice as he shouted, mana waves shot in a single pin point direction.

"Alby run now to where I told you and stay there!"

Alby ran for his life, his face in shock and fear as he didn't know what was happening, Alby couldn't help but trip over himself he was scared, he didn't notice anything that was happening.

*pant* *pant* *pant*

"What is going on, all I felt was a cold breeze next minute father is going crazy, what's got him so riled up?

who was he talking too?

oh well I will just watch him, but first I need to get to where father told me too, I'm close."

Alby searched as he was running towards a certain direction, all he saw was trees for as far as his eyes could see, until he caught a small glimpse of a luminescent purple light that was hiding behind the thick stump of a large oak tree.

"Ha found you, now I've just got to get there as father had said, but why do I need to get there, what's got father on edge, I've never seen him like this ever, it's kind of scary seeing him like this."

Alby rushed over towards the glowing light that was peeping over the oak tree, he ran as fast as his legs could carry him, but as he got close to the light he tripped.

"Wohoo"

*Crash* * Splutter*

"Urgh that's made me go a little dizzy"

Alby started slowly began to lift his body up from his knees, dirt and leaves coming off of him in small bits while the leaves would gracefully float off of his body onto the floor as they spun in mid in or glided towards the floor heading a small distance away from his body in different directions.

"You know the next time I want to take a trip I'll write post cards, yawcha, that hurt a little"

Alby got up in the nick of time as from right behind him he felt wind slingshot from right behind him, the back of Albys clothes had fluttered aggressively, then with a sudden crash, a tree had fallen from behind him, a black figure emerged up from the dust and debris that emitted from the ground into the air.

"You want to aim your killing intent towards my son then you better get better with your spells, because this is for certain, I will be killing you right here right now,"

within the dust red eyes emerged and directed themselves towards Alby.

"Alby hit the mana stone on the tree now"

Lucas had shouted from a distance, but without Alby even knowing he had come closer to the stone that was emitting a dazzling purple light as he got closer, the speed Alby had run with a second had astonished Lucas, without even thinking about it Alby had almost teleported towards the stone in a blink of an eye.

The figure with red eyes, was in a crazed state blood gushing out of his head and over this mask, it was the first time Alby saw this figure with his own eyes, he thought his father was talking to the trees as a complete looney.

"Ha, Alright, now with this knife all I have to do is hit this mana stone, and yet it is so bright and pretty, yet somehow I'm able to feel it give me a warm feeling that envelopes my being, how strange is this feeling."

with that Alby shoved the green tipped knife into the mana stone the looked exactly like a big diamond, writing suddenly appeared out of the mana stone, with a sudden flash of bright purple light it encased Alby in what looked to be a shield.

"Ha, well timed Alby my son, now you're in that I can let loose a little bit, maybe this fellow can make me break a sweat."

Lucas started to get all happy now knowing Alby was safe and sound within a barrier that only Lucas knew was there.

"Father who is this guy, why hasn't he ran away yet?

I mean just look at you, he's not even laid a scratch on you and yet you're just toying with him as if he's a mouse in a maze."

Alby sat down within the barrier watching his father fight with just strength alone, as he watched, his mind read all the moves without a single breath missed.

"Alby this guy isn't ordinary by the looks of his wears, he's not from around here in-fact the small blue crest on his torn buckled plated chest piece reminds me of a hidden race that live very far from here called Eld, as you can see the long skinny body covered in half fur, almost a human but with lots of fur, ears similar to an elf, feet as if they were toed hooves, but this seems to be a magical berserker class, but not that high in level, it's odd I'll just have to capture this guy"

And so with that Lucas had stopped playing with this crazed Eld, with one swift and yet extremely hard punch, Lucas's fist firmly planted onto the Eld's upper chin swinging the Eld's whole head back and his whole body upwards almost as if the Eld began to float.

Alby came out of the shield, the bright purple light that enveloped him keeping him safe dissipated back into the tree as a full mana stone.

"Here father I packed some rope in-case we needed it"

"Ha, you're bright you brat, even if you do joke a lot, I just hope that when the time comes when you've finally unlocked the power in your body, I won't have to do this to you."

Alby handed his father the rope from a hidden backpack that Alby was carrying in-case of bandits, his mother taught him how to hide backpacks earlier on in his childhood due to certain circumstances.

A few hours passed and the tied up Eld slowly began to drift back to reality, his eyes slowly fluttered before widening fully, his head turned from left to right in swift movements as if he was scanning his surroundings.

"So.. Mr... you've woken up, do you hurt anywhere?"

The Eld looking directly in-front of him to see a Alby sat in-front of him sharpening a long pointy stick, with a camp fire in the back ground splintering in the background as some meat cooks over the fire.

"No, I'm not hurt but I'd appreciate to know where I am and who the hell you are kid!"

The Eld who had been captured while battered and bruised had almost fully healed his injuries from fighting with Lucas.

"You are currently in Elenthor forest, but from what my farther says you are a really long way from home, and your race is the Eld."

The Elds eyes grew surprised, his body had a sudden urge to tremble, the Eld gathered his composure after a little sweat dribbled from his brow.

"So who's your father kid, and how does he know the hidden race that hasn't been discovered by this world in almost 70,000 years."

"Well wouldn't you like to know, If I remember correctly, your races leader from 200 years ago was Alagath or as his royal title was at that time "King Alagath"

Lucas spoke from a distance closing in behind the Eld, goose bumps flew over the Elds body, the Eld body trembled in fear he didn't know who this person was, but he knew the name of their current king.

Lucas came round and sat directly in-front of the Eld on the rock Alby was sat on, he took down his hood, the Eld gasped with disbelief.

"Y..You... You're him, you're Sir Lucas The Wandering Shadow, you're the kings one and only true friend, at long last after 200 years... you are sat in-front of me after growing up and listening to your tales of how you saved our king, our race and the journey you went on before meeting the King... we all thought it was a myth, I grew up listening to all the tales you did from father the king himself... your picture... father has your picture on him at all times, he says it gives him luck, gives him a purpose to fight for his life day in day out..."

The Eld went on to praise Lucas, but then Alby had noticed what the Eld has stated before.

"Sorry to butt in with the whole feet kissing my father, but you said that the king was your father?"

with a look of surprise the Eld had forgotten why he travelled in the first place for a second.

"Ah yes sorry for the late introduction I am Githda Velz Harg and Alagath Harg or King Alagath is my father, and Im in need of your help"

The forest winds blew slowly, the night time rolled in with ease, crickets, owls and bats could be heard within gentle breeze through-out the forest.
