John's P.O.V
My mind was slowly becoming hazy hence, why I now just stare blankly at the papers right in front of me. I did not even notice how I was already at my office listening to these bickering men about how my division should be stationed at the western borders of the Orca Kingdom. There have been rising tensions year after year and problems just won't stop ever since the crown prince of the kingdom has taken in a human as his wife.
I have met the man once or twice at some balls hosted at the palace. He was quiet and reserved but once you got to start the conversation with him, he will never stop talking until he bores you with his humdrum stories of previous battles. Our talks are mostly about battles and weapons. Never did he mention any family to me. Well, I was just a child back then so maybe that was why.
