Third Person P.O.V.
Jaime stayed for a couple more days at home then finally returned to work. It was the oldest who was left at home again taking care of the business within the local clientele, allowing the man to control and watch over the twins in a closer setting.
Both the youngest stayed inside their room in their own little worlds. The house growing quiet with the days slow and peaceful. Most days are dealt with Michael playing with his video games and Violet dressing up her dolls which to the little girl's dismay as she hated playing with the toy. But with the amount of boredom she was experiencing, any game will suffice or so she thought.
Dropping the dolls, she than turned her attention to her twin brother who was focused on his gaming console.
"Michael!" She called pulling on the hem of his shirt. The twin paused his game and turned to the sister. Staring into her eyes with a questioning brow, semi-irritated that his game was disrupted.
Violet asked him if he could play with her which he accepted. He saved his game and turned off the console and television, turning to sit down on the floor adjacent to her waiting for the twin's words to tell him what to do next.
Five minutes passed and Violet could sense her brother wasn't interested in the dolls. He merely took one male doll and changed its clothing to his liking. Michael's face screamed boredom making her more frustrated.
Her eyes gaze at their bedroom door. An idea popped into her head making her smile wide.
"Come with me!", Jumping up from the floor she bolted towards the door and headed downstairs with Michael on her tail.
"Violet where are we going? We are not supposed to be down here." Michael whispered pulling on his sister's arm gently. Looking from left to right wary and quite scared that their brother would see them outside the room while a client is in the house.
He knew the consequences and danger they'd be in if anyone else saw them. Not that it fully mattered for this was their home, but knowing how their big brother would react to his orders disobeyed was enough to freak Michael out and second guess what his twin wanted.
"Oh come on. We're inside and were only told not to go outside the house. He didn't say I can't go out of the room." Violet retaliated.
"But Violet you know we should not be seen once a client is in." Michael whispered glaring at her.
"I know that but it was boring inside the room. I don't wanna play with my dolls anymore." She answered pouting as she crossed her arms, walking her way to where the door leading to the basement was.
"Where are you going?" He followed his sister who stopped in front of the door leading to where they keep everything in. Michael's eyes widened as he saw her reach for the doorknob.
"What are you doing?!" Michael whisper-yelled as he started to shiver in fear that someone would see them. He grabbed Violet by the shoulder and pulled her away before she could open the door.
Violet turned to glare at him but was stopped in her tracks as they saw the doorknob slowly turn. Michael pulled her and ran quickly to hide under the clothed table.
There he placed his finger on his lips telling her to keep quiet which she responded with a nod and clasped both her small hands on top of her mouth.
They heard the door fully open and peeked through the thin slit of the tablecloth. John walked out of the door wiping his hands with a white handkerchief and wore his black gloves back on.
Michael held Violet's hand and prayed they wouldn't be caught or else they'll be punished, he'll be punished more if John knew that he allowed Violet to see their brother exit from the door.
He turned to look at his back where he saw Violet gone making his face go pale. The small boy started to shake in confusion and fear where she disappeared off to. John had his back turned towards the table but a shaky breath omitted by Michael made John quickly turn around. His eyes stern and black, slowly walking towards the table.
The youngest was about to be discovered when in walks Violet from the entrance towards the kitchen.
"Brother," Violet whispered rubbing her eyes like she just woke up, standing by the entrance. Michael looked at his sister through the slit with wide eyes, scared that John would notice what was going on and catch him from under the table.
He kept perfectly still covering his mouth and nose trying to calm himself down as much as possible for he knows anyone could hear his hard breathing along with the loud thumping of his heart as he watched his twin sister pretend to save both of their asses.
John smiled softly walking to his baby sister, picking her up in his arms and kisses her cheek.
"What are you doing down here princess?" He asked.
Violet held her other hand up revealing a cookie in her hand. John raised an eyebrow chuckling uttering a soft aww as he gave her a kiss on the forehead. Carrying precious Violet towards the living area.
Michael took this opportunity to silently run a little up the stairs then run back down looking around frantically acting like he just come from upstairs, panting he looked at them in the living area where Violet was trying to pull the handkerchief from John's jacket.
"There you are! I only fell asleep a little and you ran away. Where did you go?" Michael acted worried staring at Violet avoiding his older brother's looks which indicated that he was a bit suspicious.
Violet raised her hand with the cookie showing it to Michael.
"You could've told me you were hungry you know," Michael says as he stares at his twin sister, widening his eyes as she pulls the handkerchief stained with blood from John's pocket.
The eldest saw this and he quickly stood up from the couch making Violet drop the stained cloth on the floor.
"Why don't I go cook you guys some lunch?" John asks lively trying to distract Violet whose still in his arms trying to get down to get the handkerchief. He looked at Michael with a bit of warning and asking for assistance.
"Yeah I'm hungry!" he excitedly says as he starts to run to the dining area making Violet turn her attention to Michael.
She jumped off from her big brother's arms and ran towards her twin.
"Who wants some spaghetti?!" John asked lively smiling wide as he leaned down to pick up the handkerchief from the floor, folding it neatly and placing it back inside his pocket.
"That was a close one."
