Chapter 83 - Chapter 82: Starting Point

As the morning shone at the capital of Ashendar kingdom. Inside the guildhall. The adventurers were currently taking their breakfast to start the day.

"I finally got you." Levy raised her identification card with the huge letter B written on it. She leaned on her wooden chair while still smiling.

At the opposite side of the table, Roshan was silently sitting on his chair while crossing his arms.

A wooden cup with booze was put at the wooden table as Derus sat down next to Levy while narrowing his eyes.

"I can't believe the 2 of you. You rejected my invitation just to join in another party?" He chugged the wooden cup.

Levy put down her identification card and faced Derus. "Your party is already crowded, Derus, one more member and it won't be a party anymore, it will better be called as an army, and besides, it's nice to be part of a party with the same age range as mine."

Derus eyes widened. "Did you just call me old, My lass?"

Levy instantly shook her head. "Nope."

Derus eyes shifted to Roshan. "Why did you agree, my lad? You let your housemate and at the same time friend down."

Roshan just shrugged and did not reply.

They stopped talking when Gwen, Clint, and Amiya stepped inside the guildhall.

Amiya waved her hand to them and skipped towards them with a smile on her face. However, her eyes were dwindling indication of lack of sleep. "Have you got your new identification cards yet?"

Levy flashed her identification card to show her. "Yes, we already did."

Amiya repeatedly nodded. "Good, good." Her eyes instantly shifted to Derus looking down while gripping his cup of booze. "Oh, is not it, Derus? Hello."

Derus furrowed his eyebrows and looked down.

Levy chuckled as she looked at him. "You know what, Derus, when Amiya mentioned you the other day, she quoted that you have a cute mustache."

Derus frowned to resist the smile coming out of his face. "Hmph. Brat." And walked back to the liquor corner.

Levy smiled at Amiya. "See? He likes you already."

Amiya just nodded and smiled. "He is cute."

"Everything is cute in your eyes, Amiya." Clint walked towards them.

Following him was Gwen holding a request paper in her hand. The 3 of them sat on the square wooden table. Gwen sat next to Levy following her was Clint at the center and Amiya take the chair next to Roshan.

"This is what I have got from the request board. The reward is great but it will take a few days to be done. Most of the quest for Class B rank and higher is like this, so we do not have much of an option." Gwen put the request paper on the table for everyone to see.

The 5 of them scrutinized the request and remained silent for a second.

Roshan put his hand on his chin. "Hobgoblin extermination quests around the Northern part of Fiora?"

Gwen nodded. "From what is written here. There are 6 bases of hobgoblins each consisting of innumerable goblins scattered around the area and terrorizing the nearby villages. It implies that we are not required to search for them, due to the villagers already discovered the locations of their bases."

"Is not Hobgoblins are Class C monster?" Amiya asked while her face was leaning on her hand pillared at the table.

Clint faced Amiya. "Usually, the guild will only send class C adventurers to deal with Hobgoblins, however, with that number of bases, A party of Class C adventurers will not be enough to do it. Furthermore, with that amount of them, there is a good chance that a higher class of goblin variants would show up."

Amiya repeatedly nodded. "I see."

Roshan grabbed the request paper. "So we are against an army of goblins?"

Gwen nodded. "Hobgoblins are not that bad, the only thing they have is their brute strength, outside of it, they are not fast nor intelligent enough to use magic, we have already done some extermination quest for hobgoblins before, the only difference is, we are against 6 bases instead of just one."

Roshan nodded and crossed his arms. "It's feasible if I must say."

Gwen weakly smiled at Roshan's agreement. "Then, is anyone still have a question regarding the quest?"

No one raised a question and just nodded.

Levy stood up. "Should we get our carriage now and get moving?"

Gwen, Levy, and Clint stood up and walked towards Mayumi to officially receive the request.

Roshan remained sitting, he slowly moved his head. "Are you not going with them?"

Amiya narrowed her eyes and looked at him. "It is tiring to go there and come back here again." Amiya put her chin over her hands pillaring at the table while pouting her lips. "But I am not lazy. Do not think of me as lazy, I am just conserving my energy."

[Human Level 35.]

Roshan nodded. "I see. Then stay here and take a nap."

Amiya lied down and put half of her body over the table. "Even if you have not said it, I will do it anyway. I am so tired, I do not have enough sleep due to the romance book I am reading." Amiya closed her eyes and easily fell into a nap after a few seconds.

Roshan remained silent and unmoved for the whole time.

After a few minutes of chatting with Mayumi at the counter, the 3 finally came back.

Gwen gently caressed Amiya's head. "Amiya, we have to go."

Amiya moved again and raised his head, she stood up and hugged Gwen. "You are so soft, you are like a pillow."

"Now, let's go rent a carriage for this quest," Levy suggested.

"I know a coachman that has a huge enough carriage to fit us all at once. Let us check on him first." Gwen replied as she hugged back Amiya.

On the other hand, Roshan stood up next to them. "Let's go."

Their very first quest as a party was about to begin.
