Nighttime at the capital of Ashendar kingdom.
Roshan arrived at the guildhall but stopped right at the entrance. His face remained at the person sitting on the side of the road.
Levy who leaning down her face on her arms that wrapped on her knee raised her head and looked at him.
"Roshy? You've been called out too?"
Roshan nodded and stepped towards the entrance.
"Wait, I'm coming with you."
Upon entering, all the people currently inside the guildhall turned their gazes on them.
All of them were gathering where the wooden tables were, they were forming a circle with a certain person sitting at the center.
"There you are, what took the two of you so long?" Derus waved his hand towards them.
"I just did something, that's why I'm late," Levy answered as she sat at the chair in the corner.
Roshan walked near the center and remained standing, his face directed at the person sitting in the middle.
"Forgive me for the late notice Levy and Roshan, I'm glad both of you came." Kito clapped once. "So let's begin."
Kito stood up.
"Maybe you're wondering why you are here? So let's make it simple and quick. Guild master Rudwick gave me an important quest. I'm pretty sure you are already aware of the Wyvern attacks that happened these past few days. The thing is, that Wyvern is not alone."
The adventurers nodded.
"Evey few years, some powerful Wyverns traveling from far south of the kingdom giving birth to a terrifying amount of Wyverns on a certain place. That place is called Wyvern canyon. Our job is to eliminate those little oddities to prevent them to cause devastations because the knights of the kingdom have no time to deal with it, due to the current ongoing war."
"But, it's no easy job, we're against a bunch of Class B and Class A monsters, however, if we're unlucky enough, we would even encounter a class S monster."
"The people I called here are the ones I think will greatly contribute to this mission. With the joint team of 30 remarkable Class B adventurers and my party consisting of 7 Class A adventurers including myself, I do not doubt this mission's success rate. What do you think?"
With synchronization, the adventurers gathering around him shouted in agreement.
"What about me? I'm not even a class B adventurer." Roshan cut everyone with his sudden statement.
Kito nodded. "You're right, I have not actually thought of an excuse to bring you in the mission, I just know that I want you to be part of it because I think you are strong, even though I didn't see it myself, don't worry, I'll keep an eye on you, and if you aren't what I expected, I'll just save you. Fair?"
Roshan nodded. "Fair enough."
"You're easier to talk to than I thought, sometimes people who know they are powerful are hard to talk to, I'm glad you aren't."
"Ey, Kito, you're still not mentioning the real thing in here!" Derus exclaimed.
"Oh, I almost forgot, thanks for reminding me. Of course, all of us came here for the price. Each adventurer will receive 40,000 Sierra upon completion of the quest, excluding the rewards in every Wyvern or Greater Wyvern we've killed, and for that, we will divide the rewards equally. 60,000 Sierra for every Wyvern and 100,000 in every Greater Wyvern. Is that enough?"
Derus raised the wooden cup of booze he was holding. "That's my lad! Looks like we need to bring all of the available carriages in all Ashendar because we're going to kill tons of flying dimwits!"
Kito smiled. "Derus, no drinking in the meeting."
"The hell! My hand moves on its own!"
Kito's eyes darted on Roshan with seriousness in his eyes. "Are you in, White bunny?"
"At this moment I have nothing else to do. I guess I'll go."
The adventurers' shouts resonated around the guildhall.
"Good, looks like almost everyone agreed." Kito's gaze passed through the people in front of him all the way to the person sitting in the corner looking at the entrance. "How about you, Levy?"
Levy gasped due to the sudden call. "Ha?"
"You should come, Levy, you're gonna be a big help there."
Levy stood up while scratching the top of her head, her gaze was directed on the ground. "Let see."
Half of Kito's lips rose. "If you can't still forget what happened, it's alright, but for this mission, maybe you should take it aside for now, at least until the mission ends. Is that fair, Levy?"
Levy nodded. "Yes."
"Good. Then be prepared, we are going first thing in the morning. Take your rest and let's meet here tomorrow."
Without a delay, Kito walked out of the guildhall.
Roshan just stood up while watching them celebrating while gulping some booze.
"My lad, Roshan, it's good that you decided to come." Derus hand him the wooden cup filled with booze.
"I'm interested in the rewards and the opportunity to fight some rare and powerful monsters is good too."
"You are right, killing those high-level sky turds is a good chance to raise your level. Now, take this little fella I'm handing on you and drink it like water."
"I'm not drinking."
Derus tapped his shoulder twice. "Having strict parents must have been tough." He said while slowly nodding.
"Yeah, sure? I have to go."
Roshan walked out from the guildhall and walked in the direction of the inn. After a few minutes of walking, he saw two familiar faces standing in front of each other while conversing at the side of the dark road with only the street lamps as their light.
It was Levy and Kito, Kito was smiling while Levy was looking down on the ground while kicking the air.
He paused for a second and briefly stared at them.
[Do you want to hear what are they talking about?]
"The hell I would? What would I get for eavesdropping on them? I'm pretty sure it's not something beneficial for me."
Roshan silently walked away and left them alone.
