Chapter 63 - Chapter 62: White And Jumpy

The next morning after the Wyvern incident. Roshan went downstairs of the inn he was staying on and stopped right at the entrance of the establishment.

His gaze dwelled at the person standing at the door waving her hand with a big smile on her face.

"Guild master Rudwick asked me to pick you up," Levy announced.

He paused for a second. "The guild master? Why?"

"I don't know, maybe because you just took down a literal dragon last night." Levy walked ahead outside and Roshan followed her.

For a few minutes of complete silence shrouded around them, no one talked and just walked towards the guild. As they arrived, the loud noise coming inside was could be heard outside.

Levy looked back at him. "Everyone is waiting for you."

"Everyone?"

Levy went inside first and left Roshan behind.

For a few seconds, he remained standing in front of the door before unleashing a huge sigh.

He stepped in and what greeted him was the scream of the adventurers inside.

"Look at that, here is the mad lad who saved the day last night!" Derus skipped towards him and handed him the wooden cup of booze he was holding.

"What is... happening?" Roshan asked as he subconsciously grabbed the wooden cup being handed to him.

20 adventurers gathered around him with smiles on their faces. "You really did help us there, White bunny."

"I thought I'm going to die, good thing White bunny was there!"

"I didn't intend to save your lives. It just happened that you were in there."

A huge arm overlayed in his shoulders and shook his entire body. He looked up to the person who did it and Derus's huge smile greeted him. "It's okay, White bunny, I know taking numerous praises at once really is problematic. But, I must say, you did a good job saving everyone there. You deserve some praise."

"First, and foremost, would you mind removing your gigantic arms in me?" He shook his shoulder and removed the arm hanging on his shoulders. "And second, White bunny? The hell are you calling me with that stupid name?"

Derus and the others stared at each and with synchronization, they looked at him with undecided faces.

"Because you are jumpy?" One of the adventurers answered.

"You have white hair?"

Derus shrugged. "To be honest, that's the only reason."

Roshan remained silent for a few seconds, his mouth opened and closed a few times.

"I'm not asking for what's the reason behind that nickname, I'm asking why would you call me that?"

"You should see yourself last night, you're like a brave warrior jumping towards the sky, you killed the ferocious dragon using your might! Magnificent! Valiant white rodent. And as a spectator of such glorious deed, we have come up with such fitting name for such a warrior that you are." Derus answered while flexing his arms.

Roshan's face instantly turned to Levy just standing with the crowd standing while leaning both of her hands on her waist smiling at him.

Roshan shook his head. "This place is a curse, should I burn this place down before it completely tarnished me?"

Derus chuckled. "I didn't know that you can crack such a funny joke, my lad. Now, go drink that booze you are holding and go to the guild master's office. He is waiting for you."

Roshan handed over the still full wooden cup to Derus and skipped towards the second floor while adventurers were just watching over him.

He ran towards the second floor and knocked on the door.

"Come in."

He opened the door and the black-haired woman wearing a black long sleeve beside the door bowed her head towards him, and he nodded in response.

"Looks like your arrival made a lot of ruckuses. They are genuinely happy for you." Rudwick pushed his reading glasses as he looked up at him. "Take a seat, Roshan Lightborne."

Roshan sat at the wooden chair in front of Rudwick's desk.

"I hope, the thing that I did last night didn't cause any kind of alarm in the guild that you're going to investigate and question me."

Rudwick's lips rose. "I would like to, but no, I called you here for another reason. The reason why everyone downstairs is cheering for you."

Roshan nodded. "I see."

Rudwick leaned over his wooden chair. "The monster that you eliminated last night is a class A monster called Greater Wyvern. As a Wyvern alone it already caused a lot of devastation around the areas of the great forest of Fiora. A Class B Wyvern is not that devastating, but it cannot be underestimated."

"To the point, that the kingdom issued a request to exterminate it, however, the unexpected happened. It evolved as Greater Wyvern and became more devastating than the class B adventurers could handle. If left alone, it will cause massive destructions."

"Rather than being reluctant, it's rational to thank you for dealing with it. That's why I called you here."

Rudwick handed over a coin and slid it towards Roshan.

Roshan's face shifted to the blue coins with 1000 engraved in them and looked up again to Rudwick's face.

"That's my reward?"

"Of course not, that's the reward for your vegetable harvesting quest yesterday, you have not claimed it yet. I've heard that you are quite fond of doing that quest." Rudwick smirked and grabbed something under his desk and put it over his desk. "This is your reward, as the kingdom's promised for killing and retrieving the body of the Greater Wyvern. You will receive 100,000 Sierra. It's not much but I hope it's enough.

Roshan's face lingered at the money pouch lying on the table. "That winged lizard cost that much?"

"Believe me, 100,000 Sierra is not as great as you think," Rudwick said while putting other things over the desk.

A dark blue adventurer robe was placed and a white hard paper as the size of Roshan's palm was slid towards him.

"Just like what Mayumi said back when you registered, the guild will judge you base on your achievements, we still need to evaluate your capabilities and you are still new to this guild, even you have already proven your strength last night, we still need to see more of you. However, I'm certain you deserve that little promotion."

Half of Roshan's face rose. "At least I no longer need to settle for flower or vegetable picking quest." Roshan raised his identification card.

"Well, I congratulate you on your promotion as class C adventurer. Here's your adventurer's robe, as the sign that you are now a ranked member of the guild."

Roshan nodded. "Thanks, I appreciate it."
