A sunny morning in the North-East part of the great forest of Fiora. Where the loud noises coming from a group of goblins were could be heard from the wilderness between the huge trees.
"Mito, stay on my back." Said the young man while raising his sword.
He put down the corpse of the wild boar on his shoulder and face the group of the goblins currently assaulting them. On his back was a young boy was hiding.
They were against the green-skinned miniature humanoids equipped with human weapons.
10 goblins surrounded them and raised their weapons, some are holding daggers while others were holding their swords and almost worn out shields. They were laughing while slowly moving toward the 2.
The 10 goblins were about to lunge to attack them when a sudden sound took their attention.
"Out of the way!"
A loud scream came from above. All of them looked up and saw a person crash to one of the trees and landed on the ground right at the center of the conflict, sitting on his knee while holding the ground. His white hair was swaying in the wind due to the impact he made to the ground the moment he landed.
"It looks way cooler in my imagination. There goes my first contact to the people of this kingdom."
The young man currently fighting the goblins looked at the person who landed on the ground with awe on his face. Even the goblins stopped and stared at him.
"A... Are you alright? That must have been a very painful drop."
He immediately stood up. "Yup, I'm alright, I just messed up a little bit, I still need to practice my landing. Just forget what you just saw."
"That's the least of my problem at this moment, as you can see, we are under attack. Could you give us a hand? But you don't have any weapon."
He stared at the young man and the 10 goblins about to leap on them. He shrugged. "I don't need one."
In a blink of an eye, all the 10 goblins fell to the ground with their heads separated on their bodies.
The young man's jaw dropped as he gazed upon the corpses of the 10 goblins. "What just happened? I did not see a thing and why your clothes are full of blood and poison stains? Are you sure you are alright?"
"Things happened, I need to go now," He squatted for a jump.
"Wait, I want to thank you for helping us."
He stopped and gazed at the young man.
"How about you come with me to our village? So I could get you a change of clothes."
He turned around and stared at them. "Not a bad idea."
The man smiled and gently pulled the young boy hiding in his back. "My name is Kali and this is my little brother Mito. We are living in the village nearby. You? What is your name?"
Mito waved his hand at him with a smile on his face.
For a few seconds, he remained silent before answering Kali. "My name you asked? It's Roshan... Roshan Lightborne."
Kali smiled. "I see, Roshan. Come with me, and have breakfast with us. Our father is a very good cook."
Roshan nodded his head and followed the 2.

Inside the village of Amaryllis, consists of less than 30 houses. The small houses were made of woods and hays as roofs. Nearby were the rice fields and fruit plantations which were one of the main sources of food for the inhabitants of the village.
Inside the house of the head of the village named Ellion.
Roshan gazed at the 3 people with him at the table as he took the very first bite of food he ever ate since he was reborn in this world, a stewed wild boar. He smiled after taking the first bite.
The father of Kali and Mito, Ellion sitting in front of him smiled after seeing his reaction to the food. He smiled back and diverted his gaze back to his food.
He was no longer wearing his dirty clothes, the old man gave him a brown tunic and pants as thanks for helping his sons.
"Father, you should have seen how big brother Roshan defeated the goblins! We didn't see how it happened but he looks cool!" Mito exclaimed as he told the story to his father.
Kali nodded at his little brother.
"Thank you very much for helping my sons, you have my gratitude."
He sipped some broth before answering the old man. "I didn't do much. Like I said earlier to them on our way here, it's not a big of a deal. With that said, Are the goblins causing a lot of trouble in here?"
The smile on Ellion's face faded away. "This past few days the goblins are causing a lot of turmoil around this village. Before they are attacking the nearby villages, killed the men, and kidnapped the woman, but adventurers managed to drive the goblins away from those villages, and now they are here. And unlike the other villages who can hire expensive adventurers for such dangerous task. We could not do anything to fight them."
"My father tried to seek help from the guild, but the adventurers were not willing to risk their lives for a measly reward that we offered. But, I cannot blame them. The 5,000 Sierra we offered is not worth the risk of fighting 3 Hobgoblins." The distress is audible in Kali's voice.
"Big bro Kali, I want a second."
Kali smiled as he grabbed the plate from Mito. "Here."
Roshan nodded but his eyes were not showing any emotion in them. "I see."

After eating he walked towards the back door of the house. His eyes wandered on the stuff lying around, though, his eyes stayed at the wooden masks lying on the table.
He picked up one and examined it. The surface of the brown wooden mask was smooth, an indication of the proficiency of its maker, there were holes for the nose and eyes.
He put the mask back on the table as his eyes diverted to the rice field from the distance.
"Gailee, do you think I can defeat the Hobgoblins?"
[Easily.]
"Wow, even just a little bit of hesitation will not hurt, you know?"
