Slowly, Randall opened his eyes as he felt the pain in his body. He sat and tried to stand up, but he could not move his foot.
His eyes wandered around the area, he was in a place filled with blue-green lights all over the wall and the ceiling. Not far from his location was an underground river. At the center of the river, a statue of Mithril skinned frog was standing.
He evaluated his body, he touched his shoulder, he groaned as he felt the pain in his right shoulder, a visible bite of Small lesser Gaia centipede was apparent on his clothes, due to the blood and poison stains on the part where he was bitten.
"It's a good thing a leveled up my poison resistance, at least it can delay the spread of the poison until they find me."
He turned his gaze at the river. "Where am I?"
His eyes wandered again, but he could not find anything inside the chamber. He moved his foot but he could no longer stand. His feet took the damage of him falling from the hole rendering him incapacitated.
He pulled out the potions inside his pocket, but the only thing inside was Mana potions, the other potions were being carried by the 3.
However, even in the midst of his current situation, he did not show any signs of panic.
"My consciousness faded after I fell. The last thing I remembered was the giant centipedes inside the hole were about to attack me. Who brought me here?"
His question was answered when a certain entity flew inside the underground river from the entrance located at the hole at the wall.
Randall's eyes widened as he saw it. A white glowing orb the size of an average human fist. The light coming from its body could light up a considerable range around it. It flew towards him and stopped a few distances away from him.
Even with the pain that he was currently feeling, he smiled while gazing upon the mythical entity floating a few meters away from him.
"You are the Fairy. You look exactly as the books described. Are you the one who saved me from the centipedes earlier?"
He received no response from the Fairy, rather, it flew beside him and hovered above the cooked Cave wolf lying on the floor.
Randall gazed upon the grilled Cave wolf and gazed back to the Fairy, his forehead furrowed as he nodded."Is that... for me? I see, Thanks?"
He already lost count of how long he was staying in this place.
The whole time, he was trying to talk to the Fairy, but the Fairy was keep on leaving and just coming back after a few minutes. The Fairy did not show any hostility, but it still kept its distance from him, but befriending a Fairy was his last problem at the moment.
The poison from the bite of Small lesser Gaia centipede on his shoulder was slowly becoming severe. His body started to turn pale and he could no longer move. His mind started to get blurred, giving him a hard time thinking straight.
His poison resistance could no longer fight the poison slowly crawling all over his body. All he could do was to wait for the 3 to find him while leaning on the wall.
His eyes opened as he saw a glimpse of white light in front of him.
He was greeted by the Fairy floating a few inches away. This was the very first time the Fairy actually went close on him.
Randall smiled. "Are you concerned about me? Don't worry, I'm alright. I can feel it, sooner, my friend will find me, they've got antidotes for poison, so I will be alright once they arrived. I'm pretty sure they already turning this place upside down just to find me."
"Especially Gwen, I can imagine her face while checking every nook to find me. You don't want that girl to get angry, she can fight toe to toe against a mythical class monster when furious. Not quite literally, but you'll get what I mean once you met her." He sounded a forced chuckle.
However, the one he was talking to was just hovering in front of him and just observing him.
He coughed and a drop of blood came out from his mouth. He wiped it out using his hand. For a second he remained still while his eyes were trembling before diverting his attention to the ball of light floating in front of him.
He smiled. "Ah, I forgot to introduce myself."
"My name is Randall, Randall Elmizer. You? Do you have a name, besides, Fairy?"
As if the Fairy understood what he just said, it shook its body.
"You can understand what I'm saying, but you can't talk? I see."
The Fairy rapidly flew up and down as if its the Fairy's way of agreeing with him.
"How about I give you a name?"
The Fairy shook its body.
"You don't want to? At least hear me out first before disagreeing." He chuckled as his body slid to the ground.
He closed his eyes as his body started to get paler. While his neck was slowly turning violet, indicating that the poison was already spread.
"Ball of light. You're like a beacon of hope. A light with eternal magnificence, the subject of many legends."
"How about..."
His eyes slowly closed as they turned heavier than before.
"Roshan."
"That name fits you."
He sigh as his consciousness slowly faded, his breathing slowed down.
"I'm tired, I'll just going to get some rest."
His shoulders fell as the poison finally reached his vital parts.
With his very last breath, he spoke the thing that he desired the most, and with his weakest voice, he named it.
"Gwen."
Gradually, the Fairy that floating in front of him approached him. It remained still hovering beside him.
White particles started to come out from its body and reached Randall. The white light from the Fairy's body expanded and lit up the entire place.
Randall's body floated to the air, as the white particles coming from the Fairy covered his entire body.
