They went to the downtown area to buy some clothes, ate at the fast-food restaurant, and headed home after.
"Thanks for accompanying me, I hope I didn't bother you with your game."
They were walking on the sidewalk on the street towards their residence. Their households were just next to each other so they were together until the end of the trip.
Their shoulders were touching each other as they walked side by side while he was carrying the item that they bought.
"It's fine." His eyes were just gazing straight at the road.
Aleli walked ahead of him and blocked his way. "Randall? Is there a problem? You are strangely quiet today."
He stopped. "Am I?"
Aleli nodded while pouting her lips. "Yes you are, usually you are the talkative one between us."
"From what I remembered, you are the talkative one between us, Aleli." He walked and passed through Aleli.
Aleli followed him, with confusion on her face.
While walking, they saw the children's park near the area around their neighborhood.
"Let's hang out here for a while if you wouldn't mind."
His eyes wandered around the park before nodding on her suggestion. They walked towards the center of the park and sat at the swings.
Currently, no children were playing at the park and there were only two of them. He brushed his hair up as the gentle wind blew on his face. The sound of the vehicles passing at the park was audible from their position.
Aleli points her finger on the seesaw not far from their location. "I remembered, we used to play on that seesaw, I'm always crying because you always playing a prank on me by pushing me high, but we stopped playing here since high school because you're too busy in your study."
He nodded. "I see."
Aleli narrowed her eyes. "Don't tell me you don't remember?"
With his cold eyes, he stared at her. "I don't. I don't even have memories of me going outside the house."
"Randall?"
He responded to Aleli's confused face with a smile. "Now, that I realized, you really do sound like her."
Out of a sudden, a small black crack appeared on Aleli's forehead. "Who?"
"Gailee."
Aleli laugh as if she was not aware of the things that slowly expanding on her forehead. "I don't know her."
He did not answer, instead, he turned his eyes to the red slide right in front of them. Aleli also looked at what he was looking at.
For a few seconds, they remained silent and just spacing out.
"You know, Randall. I know it's sudden, but hear me out on this."
He nodded as a response.
"I think... I think I like you, besides, you already told me that you like me before... what do you think of us going out?"
Rather than answering her question, he laughed and covered his face using his hands.
"What are you laughing at, Randall? I'm serious here you know?"
For a second he remained still. "You are?" He removed his hand and gazed directly into her eyes. "Forgive me, I just can't believe it."
A loud cracking sound resonated around the area as if the entire place was slowly being crushed and he was the only one aware of it.
"Is there a problem, Randall?"
"How about this, Aleli? What if I have a terminal sickness? I couldn't walk, I didn't grow up playing with you back then, and there's a chance of me dying in every passing day? Would you still like me like you're proclaiming right now, or would you reject me and leave me behind just like what you did?"
The crack on Aleli's face slowly crawled on the other side her face down to her neck. "I did? I don't remember doing it."
Half of his lips rose as he looked at her with intense pain in his eyes. "Of course you don't. Of course... but I did. It's one of the most painful memories I have, and by seeing you again, the hatred I felt earlier made me realize what I really want."
"This world is perfect, this is the life I once dreamed of back then... but after experiencing it, it made me hate this life more rather than liking it. Why I didn't have this life in the first place? Why did I need to suffer for agonizing 18 years? This disgustingly perfect world making me despise how good to be true it is."
A huge black crack emerged from the sky and slowly devouring the entire scenery.
Almost half of Aleli's face was filled with black crack, but she was still acting like there was nothing unusual happening, her eyes turned red as she smiled. "You don't want this world?"
[Warning.]
[Your life force is greatly depleting.]
"I do, I really do want this world. This world is wonderful, but this is not my current desire. Since the day I was born as a Small lesser nature spirit in that cave. I've established a goal I want to fulfill."
[Warning.]
"I want to know if Gods do really exist. If they don't? So be it. If they do? I will overthrow them and take their throne."
"They don't deserve it."
With a smile, he gazed at the almost eroded face of Aleli, she was no longer moving and just stacked with her confused face.
"I do."
The sky crumbled as the entire scenery with it, the only thing left was the black void that surrounding the 2 of them.
He stood up and raised his hand leveling his chest, his body slowly turned into white particles.
"Thanks for making me realize what I need to realize. Now, I know exactly what I need to do." He turned his gaze to Aleli who was entire body was almost already cleared out by the black crack devouring her. "And I'll do anything to achieve what I want."
He sounded a huge sigh. "I'm gonna miss this body."
A white light emerged from the black void and instantly reach him and evaporated his human body as it restore the body that he grew accustomed to.
With a voice coming with it that immediately put a smile on his human face before it completely disappeared.
"Yo. Did you miss me?"
