Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

Loyd now breathing frantically after finally reaching his home, knocked on the door as hard as his aching fists allowed him.

Every muscle in his body was burning and aching with pain.

The pain of using his body beyond its capacity had slowly started to take its toll.

Excruciating pain and discomfort swallowed his legs as if he was being eaten alive from top to bottom.

His legs had been pushed to the absolute limits leaving him almost immobile.

"KENNEN....are you there!?"

He screamed, still panting for air.

He reached out his hand and smacked his hand of the doorbell. He rang the door bell rapidly, multiple times, still waiting for some sort of answer.

But there wasn't any.

This terrified Loyd so much so that his body started to shiver.

The worst possible outcome his mind portrayed haunted him with immense guilt.

He had left Kennen all alone without any protection.

The terror of this thought played over his mind again and again haunting every corner of his brain.

*Strange whispering like noises appear behind Loyd's house*

Loyd hid behind the front part of the house fearing for his life.

He stayed there for a few seconds breathing heavily with his hand covering his mouth trying to stop the noise of his loud breathing.

*The whispers suddenly stop*

Loyd now crawling slowly, peeked around the corner.

There was nothing there

Suddenly he remembered something vital.

There was a spare key his brother Lock once told him about in case of any emergencies.

Loyd forgot about what just happened and fixed his focus on finding the key.

He panted for air whilst desperately looking around.

Desperately trying to remember the location of the hidden key, Loyd ran around the other side of the house to come to the biggest shock of his life.

What he saw in front of his two eyes, had left him speechless.

*Scene of his house collapsed from the side appears*

His precious home had been blown apart...

It was completely pummeled from the side broken into debris and rubble.

Only the front part of his house remained intact, tricking anyone who looked from the front of the house into thinking it was perfectly intact.

With all hope lost and despair creeping into him, he looked around slowly and realised....

His ENTIRE street had been decimated.

Loyd dropped onto his knees.

His mind now filled with a hundred emotions at once, looked up hopelessly at the sky, attacked by one thought:

'What have I done'
