The light from the window shone into Song kang's room and he woke up yawning, for a slight second he forgot that he was no longer in South Korea but as his vision cleared and he saw the new room he was in he quickly remembered
He got up and rushed into the bathroom it was a Monday and he was not looking forward to school, he hated being in such close contact with people.
He stood in front of the mirror unsure of his outfit, back in Korea they always wore a uniform to school and it seemed strange wearing normal clothes to school...
"Song kang we will be late" it was Ji-a's voice
Unlike him she was excited and eager to attend school
Song kang walked down the stairs slowly, he noticed that Ji-a was beautifully dressed and for a minute he believed she would continue her reign as the most popular girl in school
"Oppa we don't have to wear a uniform, isn't that great?" She said while eating
"It's stressful"song kang replied honestly
She stopped eating and looked at him from head to toe "you are lucky you have such a nice body.. whatever you wear looks great on you"
Song kang looked down at his outfit
" song kang come into the kitchen for a bit" he recognized his mother's voice and followed it to the kitchen
Si Eun was dressed for work, she was in her early fourties but looked younger. Song kang walked into the kitchen and she stared at him for a bit
" you need a haircut" she said while taking a sip of her coffee
"I'm growing it out, longer hair will look nicer on me"
She looked at him curiously... song kang never cared about how he looked " it's nice to see you care about how you look... song kang I want you to lay low, don't draw any attention to yourself, we cannot afford to move again"
He nods "I know"
" don't tell anyboody who you are, don't use your powers no matter what and look out for your sister... she's trying to be matured about this but I know it's not easy for her
He nods again and leaves the kitchen.

During the ride to school Ji-a was chatty but underneath her chattiness Song kang could tell that she was nervous
" aren't you worried about us being the only Koreans in school" song kang asked her
With a Smile on her face she said " I hope we are the only Koreans in school.. it'll make me extra special"
In a few minutes Si Eun arrived at the school, it was an average high school
" ji A be good, Song kang don't cause any trouble" Si Eun said while unlocking the doors
Ji A got down from the car and slowly strutted towards the school
"Song kang" Si Eun called out and he turned around " Saranghae"
Song kang smiled "saranghae omma"
He said I love you mom in Korean and it made Si Eun smile she might not have been his biological mother but in her eyes he was her real son, one could easily say that she loved Song kang more but Si Eun would always Claim she loved both children equally.
As Si Eun drove off Song kang finally took a look at the place that he would be spending a couple of years in. Students were being dropped off at school
Some were hanging around outside chatting while others were hurrying inside
Song kang slowly walked inside the school scanning his eyes around for Ji-a who had hurried inside a while ago
Immediately he stepped into the hallway a lot of eyes were turned to him, he was familiar with this stare... the boys clearly envied him while the girls adored him
Ji-a suddenly walked up to him and they walked down the hallway together
"I didn't think you would want to be seen with me"
Ji a sighed " apparently you are getting a lot of attention right now... why didn't they look at me like this when I walked in?"
She looked a bit frustrated
Suddenly a girl walked up to them, she was tall and confident with blonde hair and green eyes" Anyeonghaseyo Oppa, my name is Rebbeca and by the way you look like park Jimin of BTS"
"No, he doesn't" ji a chimed in
"Uhm.. hi" song kang said not knowing how to react
"I'm class president... the principal told me that you just transferred here and it's my job to show you around and get you up to date with everything" she said smiling
"Uhm... okay" song kang said exhaustingly
"Am I invisible" ji A said in a flat tone
"I can see you I am choosing not to acknowledge you" Rebecca replies with a smile on her face " let's go Oppa"
" thank you Rebecca but I'm sure I can find my way around" he holds Ji A's hand and walks off
"Americans are so rude" she said pouting
"Just because one American was rude doesn't mean they all are... I have history class in 2 minutes but I have no idea where to go" he sighed
" I also have history class in 2 minutes.. you can come with me" song kang turned around and saw a handsome light skinned African American, he looked nice and had a nice smile... he wasn't as tall as Song kang but he was pretty fit, his curly hair made him look really cute
"Will you be okay on your own Ji-a?" Song kang asked genuinely concerned
"I'll be fine.. go ahead"
Song kang followed him into a class, he offered him a seat next to his own
"I'm peter Henson" the boy said with a smile on his face
"Park Song kang" he pulled out his books and placed them on the table
After a couple minutes the teacher walked in, she was a middle aged woman who seemed nice " hello class.. I'm sure you all had a lovely weekend, I believe we have a new student in class today... song kang park can you stand up and introduce yourself"
Song kang grunts for a bit before standing up" my name is park song kang and I transferred here from Korea"
"Do you like kpop?" A random voice asked
he replied without looking towards the direction of the voice "not all Koreans listen to kpop"
" that question was unnecessary Ashley" the teacher scolded
Ashley was seated next to Rebecca and shanelle
Before the teacher could say something else A tall handsome blonde boy with blue eyes walked into the class, he was taller than song kang and as well built as him... he seemed arrogant and proud
Four boys were behind him
Immediately he entered the class he sniffed the air and looked up at Song kang who was still standing
" Lucas Larson... and Lucas Larson friends you are late" she notices the blood on his lip "did you get into a fight again?"
Without looking away from Song kang " I bumped into a wall?"
"Apparently that wall had a fist... go sit down and don't come to my class late again"
The boys walk into the class and sit, Lucas keeps staring at Song kang
"Song kang please sit" the teacher said before turning to face the board

The bell rang and the students exited the class
Song kang walked out while Peter followed behind
"What's your next class?" Peter asked
"English" song kang responded
Peter smiles"same... do you like it here?"
" I don't know yet" song kang responded honestly he was surprised that he was still standing talking to Peter, normally he would have cut him off an hour ago, he didn't like keeping friends but here he was still talking to him...there was something about Peter that seemed likable
Was it the way he smiled Or how he was genuinely nice?... could it be the way he smelt?
Song kang could smell not just his perfume but the fragrance of his shampoo and his aftershave cream, he could tell he had egg and bacon for breakfast and the sweet smell of strawberry lollipop he had licked before approaching him earlier
Peter was saying something but Song kang was no longer listening he was now immersed in identifying every scent on him but a different scent caught his attention
It was familiar and very strong, immediately Lucas and his gang walked out of the classroom and Song kang realized that it was his scent that he caught
Lucas shot Song kang a look that was condescending and yet curious
Lucas walked past him and brushed him aside while his friends laughed
"That was rude" Peter said
Lucas stopped and turned around "what did you say Henson"
"I said that you are being rude" Peter said clearly unintimidated by Lucas
Lucas was clearly upset, he wasn't used to people talking back at him" how nice of you to stand up for your new friend" he grabs his collar
Everybody turned their attention to them
Song kang wished that he would disappear, he was supposed to be keeping a low profile but here he was in the middle of fight that was about to happen
