Cormac and Melusine continued on their journey, travelling through the Northwest Passage until the reached the Pacific, where the city it was named after lay deep in the Mariana Trench. Two thirds of their journey was over, now all they had to do was reach Pacifica.
Taking a moment to rest, the two Children of the Storm began to think about their journey's end. It may have been a touch premature to think about it, when they had not even reached their destination, but they were so close to the end of their long journey and the question of what they were going to do upon reaching Pacifica was on both their minds.
"We could both live there, but the mystery about what happened to my dad is still on my mind." Stated Cormac, sitting upon a rock while he stared at the map.
"And the mystery of that Emperor of the Deep's daughter is on mine." Said Melusine, sitting upon a rock near Cormac's. "You need to find out about your dad, I need to find out if I am this missing princess and if not, then what had happened to her?"
"If that mysterious figure isn't my dad who saved us from Urefenkebos and her band then who is he?" Cormac asked, thinking who his and Melusine's mysterious saviour could have been.
The mystery of a missing paterfamilias and the mystery of one's own identity. Cormac and Melusine both had their reasons to maybe stay in Pacifica for a little while at least, but would they stay there long?
Alas, they knew not, but perhaps with the aid of Ronemun and others in Pacifica, they could unravel these mysteries.
