While the doctors and nurses checked on Madam Wang. Yifan and Isabella waited nervously outside the room. While waiting for Isabella to sit in the waiting chair there, it was different from Yifan who couldn't calm down at all. The Asian young man kept walking back and forth with a nervous and fearful look on his face. Isabella, who saw this, couldn't just stand still and watch.
"Sit down, Yifan. Aunt Wang will be fine, come sit next to me." Isabella smiled reassuringly as she patted the seat beside her. Yifan who saw that smile could only nod his head and walked over to Isabella and sat next to her. But Yifan still couldn't calm down but it didn't last long until a hand grabbed his. The Asian youth turned his head and saw Isabella smiling softly at him.
"It's okay Yifan. Everything will be alright." She said in a sincere and gentle tone. Hearing it made Yifan finally breathe calmly as if it was a spell that would make sure everything would be fine.
After waiting for a while the doctor stated that Madam Wang's condition was fine so she took off her breathing apparatus while Yifan and Isabella who were waiting outside were finally allowed to enter the room. After the doctor gave Yifan some advice to always take care of his mother because her condition could deteriorate again, which Yifan heard well, then the doctors and nurses came out and left the three of them. When Madam Wang saw Isabella there she became very happy.
"Dear Isabel. How are you?" Madam Wang asked in a low voice Isabella who was sitting on the right chair beside her bed.
"I'm fine auntie, thank you," Isabella replied while smiling gently at the middle-aged woman. Madam Wang slowly stretched out her hand to Isabella, who was warmly welcomed by the beautiful girl. Isabella carefully grabbed Madam Wang's hand and the middle-aged woman directed her hand to caress Isabella's cheek.
"Dear Isabel, how beautiful you are. I don't know why every time I see you, Auntie feels very happy, dear." Madam Wang said softly with a smile on her face.
Hearing what Madam Wang said made Isabella's face blush, and then she smiled as she continued to hold Madam Wang's hand which was still caressing her cheek affectionately. Then Madam Wang looked at Yifan who just smiled seeing his mother and friends who were very close.
"Dear FanFan, come here." Call Madam Wang to Yifan. The young man approached his mother and sat on the left chair beside his mother's bed.
"How was your school dear?" Madam Wang asked her son. Yifan smiled as he took his mother's hand and kissed the back of her hand.
"Okay, mom. Everything is alright." Yifan replied with a gentle smile towards his mother.
"I'm sorry if I troubled you dearly." Madam Wang looked regretful and also sad to see her son. Hearing his mother's words, Yifan immediately shook his head.
"That's not true, Mother. I didn't feel that way at all I was very happy to be able to take care of you and also to see your condition getting better I was very happy. Never once did I feel like you were bothering me. So I beg you please don't say that again." Yifan put his mother's hand on his cheek and tried to comfort himself in the warmth of mother's hand. Madam Wang who saw and heard what her son said could only smile gently and caressed Yifan's affection just as she did to Isabella before.
The beautiful girl with one dimple smiled happily seeing the interaction between the mother and her son. She suddenly remembered her mother. She was holding her chest because she missed her parents so much. Madam Wang looked at the silent Isabella and lowered her face. Slowly Isabella felt someone gently caress her head when she lifted her head Isabella saw Madam Wang who reached out her hand to caress her head and then went down to caress her cheek affectionately.
"What's wrong dear Isabel?" asked Madam Wang in such a soft and gentle voice. Isabella just smiled and shook her head.
"It's nothing, Auntie. I'm fine." Isabella replied while holding the middle-aged woman's hand on her cheek.
"Is something bothering you at school dear?" Madam Wang asked as she continued to caress Isabella's face lovingly and gently. It made Isabella feel very comfortable and happy at the same time.
"It's okay Auntie. I'm fine, after all, there is Yifan beside me. He is always by my side and takes care of me, Auntie. And if someone bothered me, Yifan was always there to protect and defend me. So I'm fine and I feel very safe and happy with him." Isabella answered with a smile on her face.
"Is it like that?" Madam Wang asked once again and was greeted with a nod and a smile on Isabella's beautiful face. Hearing this made Madam Wang both relieved and happy that her son could protect his friend. Madam Wang and Isabella continued to chat about various things until they didn't notice the blush on Yifan's handsome face when he heard Isabella's words.
It didn't feel like it was getting late because she was worried about Yifan's mother's condition asking her to rest for a while then before she fell asleep the middle-aged woman still had time to tease Yifan and Isabella.
"Okay then before I fall asleep I want to say thank you and see you for my future daughter-in-law Fanfan." Madam Wang's words were interspersed with a wink for the two of them. Hearing the words of the middle-aged woman made Yifan and Isabella blush even though they were both speechless for a moment.
"Mom, what are you saying?!" Yifan asked with a very red face towards his mother.
"Oh, really why? Shouldn't I have the desire to have a daughter-in-law as beautiful and as good as Isabella? Yes, dear Isabel." Madam Wang still smiled at the two then turned to Isabella.
"Of course Auntie," Isabella replied that she was finally able to speak even though her face was still clearly red.
Then Madam Wang hugged Isabella which the beautiful girl replied, even Madam Wang also kissed Isabella's forehead and stroked her black hair affectionately. After that, the middle-aged woman immediately lay down on her bed and a few moments later she fell asleep.
Because it was getting late, Isabella decided to go back home. And Yifan intended to take her home but was gently rejected by the girl.
"It's getting late, then I'll go home first, Yifan." Isabella walked towards the exit but before she opened the door Yifan's voice stopped her.
"Wait Bells! I'll take you home." Yifan walked closer to Isabella. The two of them went out together from Madam Wang's room.
"Yifan, you better stay here and take care of Aunt. I'll go home alone it's okay. Remember the doctor said you have to take good care of Aunt." Reject Isabella gently.
"Okay, then but I'll take you to the front of the hospital okay." Isabella nodded her head. And they both walked side by side until outside the hospital.
Isabella also said goodbye to Yifan but just as she was about to take a step she suddenly stopped and remembered something. The beautiful girl turned around and stood in front of Yifan.
"What's wrong Bells? Is there something you want to tell me?" Yifan asked Isabella. The girl smiled happily at Yifan, showing a dimple on her right cheek which made Yifan blush and feel awkward.
"Yifan I want to tell you something. This is about a part-time job at my uncle's company. There is a job vacancy. You can work after school. Do you want it?" Isabella asked Yifan. Hearing what Isabella said made Yifan surprised and rolled his eyes. He was so happy that he unconsciously hugged the girl who was much smaller than him.
"Of course I want Bels! Thank you, I'm very happy. Once again, thank you." He said happily still hugging Isabella tightly. While the little girl he was holding could only be silent with a very red face. They were like for a long time until finally, Yifan realized what he was doing and then immediately let go of Isabella's arms.
"Ahh, I'm sorry Bels. I got carried away." He said as he stepped back and saw Isabella's blushing face and was silent looking at him. Yifan, who saw this, also blushed unconsciously, he didn't know what else to say. In the end, both of them could only be silent without anyone moving from their respective places, they both seemed to have frozen.
After some silence and movement, Isabella finally spoke so that things wouldn't get more awkward.
"Ahh, then I'll tell uncle, if I've got the news I'll contact you soon." Isabella smiled with a face that was still red.
"Yeah, I'll wait then. Thanks again Bels." Yifan scratched the back of his head while glancing in the other direction too shy to look at Isabella. Seeing Yifan's awkwardness, the girl couldn't help but laugh softly. Her laughter made Yifan laugh too, in the end, they both laughed together.
"Then I will go home first, Yifan. Give my regards to Aunt Wang. See you later." Isabella walked away and waved at Yifan
"Okay. Be careful on Street." Yifan also waved his hand at Isabella.
When Isabella started to leave the hospital gate she turned around and saw Yifan still standing where he was waving his hand. Seeing this made Isabella smile and waved at Yifan after that she walked towards the bus stop to go back to her house.
