"Thank you," Arslan said as Eliza and John looked at him with startled expressions on their faces, "If it weren't for you... today we all would have died there. I have hated... and despised the elders because they never helped the disciples when they needed it... but I think that you... this time you did it."
Eliza touched her chest and a moved smile transpired on her face. She was glad that Elder Song could make Arslan understand that the elders weren't all on the same line.
Elder Song showed an expressionless face,
"I just did my job as an elder." He said as he turned and began walking towards the gate again waving his right hand. He was a person not used to showing his emotion, but Arslan's words would have been the beginning of a different path for Elder Song.
