What would you do if you were faced with a door? The door looks like some door you would find in some movie or a fantasy show about dragons and spells. Around you there is nothing but emptiness. You think that you died so you don't have much of a choice do you?
This was my second interview for a job this month. And with how unimpressive my resume is, there's no way I'm getting this job either. And my rent's been overdue for a few months so i don't have a home now either. So faced with so much stress and disparity, I stood on the edge of my roof as I spread my arm wide. These times where I hear nothing but wind is the most relaxing part of my day.
I slowly opened my eyes as I saw the ground approaching me at high speed. Wait…. The ground isn't moving towards me! I'm moving towards the ground! I readied my body for impact but my body never hit the floor…
I wondered if this was the after life. I looked at my hands and feet and saw that I was still wearing my suit and tie for the job interview. I looked around as I saw a white and blue door in front of me. It looked strange and almost fake. The door was twice my size and that's saying something since I'm considered tall for an average man. It was made of white and blue metal and had interesting textures all around the frame. Looking around, It was a strange feeling. It was a feeling of emptiness, but also a feeling of claustrophobia. Somehow it felt big and small at the same time.
I wandered off for a bit to see if there was an ending to the pitch black darkness. I laid down and wondered if I was a spirit right now. And this is the crossing of heaven and hell. Maybe the door leads to heaven. Or hell. I lifted my hand up and saw the tips of my fingertips disappearing. I immediately sat up as I inspected the rest of my body. There was nothing wrong with the rest of my body. I looked at my hand again and saw that the entire hand had disappeared. I didn't know what was going on but I panicked. I looked around but saw nothing that could possibly help me. The door! I spun around and made a mad jog for the door. I didn't know if this was the right choice but I felt like this was the only option I had. I checked my hand again and saw that half of my forearm was gone.
I ran, ran and ran. I saw the door at the edge of my vision and then, I fell down. Looking back, I saw that my foot had disappeared. My eyes widened but there was no time to panic at one of my feet missing. I looked at my arm and saw that the only thing remaining for my arm was the edge of my shoulder. I ran with one foot; I saw the door get closer and closer. At this point I lost one eye and more than half of my body has gone up to light. I looked like a damn disco ball in a dark tunnel. My body was rapidly disappearing and with the rest of my one leg and one arm, I jumped and touched the door.
