The bathroom, a room that is always there in every building, whether it's a house, office, place of worship, mall, and so on, there must be a bathroom. Yes, indeed the purpose is made to fulfill one of human desires, namely cleaning oneself, aka bathing, defecating, or other activities. In the building where it is located, the location of the bathroom is almost certainly at the back, or in a rather hidden location, it is rarely located at the front of the building, almost none, right? The contents in it also vary, from simple to luxurious. In the past, at my grandmother's house, the bathroom still had a large tub of water, next to it was a well as a water source, and of course it was located behind the house, outside. I also have a friend, whose bathroom is very large and luxurious, there is no water tub, of course. The fun thing is, inside there is a small garden, very suitable for daydreaming, hehe. That's how the bathroom, along with the times, the shape, size, contents inside, and its designation are growing, you could say it's also getting more modern, but the name is still a bathroom. But that's right, many of us (including myself) still think that the bathroom is a bit scary. Let alone in a place that we have just occupied or visited, in our own house that we have lived in since childhood, we are still lazy to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, especially when the house is empty there is no one.

Why are you sometimes (always) afraid to go to the bathroom? What's the reason? For me, the fear that sometimes arises when in the bathroom, thinks about "Who's behind the door?" "Who's outside?", thinking that way when you're alone at home or in a boarding house, these thoughts make you paranoid. When you're done, you have to go out, when you open the door, suddenly there's a scary figure or something standing in front of the door, what about it? I'm afraid yes. How about friends? What thoughts and fears do you feel when you are in the bathroom? Well, tonight, there are two friends who will tell their experiences related to the bathroom. Risman will tell a story about a bathroom in a boarding house, Fenty will tell a story about a bathroom in a hotel. Let's see.

I'm Risman, from Purwokerto, I studied in Yogyakarta. I started college in 2007 and finally graduated in 2011. During that time, I moved boarding houses three times, so there were three places where I lived during college. Why do you have to change boarding houses three times? Yes, there is a certain reason. During college, economic constraints forced me to live in a simple and modest boarding house, I couldn't afford to stay in a good and expensive place, I didn't have the money. As many other friends have experienced, the first boarding house must be temporary, never for long, because the first boarding house is usually "The important thing is there is a place to sleep first..." or "Meanwhile, while looking for a better one...", right? Yes the same, me too.
But, even though it's cool, I also have the desire to live in a comfortable boarding house, not too fussy. With such thoughts, after being tormented by the situation in the first place, I finally got a better boarding house. This second boarding house is in the Kaliurang area. The boarding house is cheap and simple but clean and quite comfortable. The form of a terraced house extends to the back, it contains about 15 rooms facing each other. All rooms are only filled with tables and beds. Where's the bathroom? There are four medium-sized bathrooms located at the very back of the building, all of them still rely on tubs and dippers, there is no shower. The picture is like that approx. The name is also a simple and cheap boarding house, don't expect the atmosphere to be brightly lit, this boarding house looks a little dull and dim at night. As well as the bathroom.. As I said earlier, the bathrooms are not small, each measuring about 3x3 meters, with a tub of water in it. Four bathrooms lined up from left to right, the lighting inside is only from five-watt lamps, not bright at all, if my friends say "The important thing is that it's still visible, it's safe", I see. Yes, the name is also constrained by the budget, I have to accept it.

~~ Oh yes, one more thing, the water tub in the bathroom is dark in color, not because it is rarely cleaned, but it is painted a dark color, so the water looks dark too, when in fact it is clean. Why am I telling you about this tub? Because later there will be a separate story.~~ Then time passed, spending the day living in the boarding house. At first, I never felt that there was anything strange or awkward, even though I felt weird a few times, especially in the bathroom, but I've never thought about it further, yet. I am a timid, paranoid person, so if I feel something strange or scary, I will try my best to ignore it and divert my mind to other things, I don't want to drown in fear due to over thinking. In this boarding house, initially there have been a number of events that are a bit disturbing, but it still hasn't gotten to the scary stage so I can still easily ignore it. For example, when you are taking a shower suddenly the bathroom light turns off, of course it becomes dark. It happened when I first lived there, so the chances are very small if a boarding friend who mischievously turns off the lights, impossible, because at that time we were not too familiar. Then a few seconds later, the light came on again. This kind of thing happened several times. For example, one day, when I was washing my body using a dipper, while I was "Byuuurr", I suddenly heard the sound of someone clearing their throat, "Eheem", like that. Startled? Yes, because it sounds not from the outside, but from the inside. So, if we take a shower with a dipper, our eyes are always closed when we're pouring water from above, right? Well, I'm afraid that when I open my eyes after closing, suddenly there's a scary face in front of me, the face of the owner of the "Ehem" voice earlier. Scary.. Strange and strange events that, as time goes by the level is increasing, slowly little by little more and more scary.

At the beginning, I was talking about water tubs, permanent water tubs that are painted dark colors, that's why I can't see the bottom of the tub clearly. One day, I came home late at night, tired I guess after struggling with all day lectures. As usual, after arriving at the room, lay down for a while, then I intended to take a shower. The dipper containing the equipment was in hand, the towel wrapped around my neck, around 10 o'clock I stepped into the bathroom. To get there, I had to pass through five rooms, because mine was in the middle. And it seems that the other boarding house occupants have slept or haven't come home yet, because there is no life at all, it's just lonely. When I arrived at the row of bathrooms, I chose the second one from the left and went inside. There's nothing strange, I then mendi as usual, rushing. Until finally when I was about to do a spray to wash off the soap foam on the body, something happened. The tub of water, has a depth of about one meter, at that time the water was full. Well, when I was fetching water, I felt something in the tub touch the dipper, it seems the dipper I'm holding hit something, I feel that way. I am sure of it, Then what did my dipper hit? Same, I'm curious too. Out of curiosity, I brought my face closer to the surface of the water with the aim of looking into the tub, what's in there? Well, this tub that is painted a dark color, of course, makes me have to work a little hard to sharpen my eyesight, plus a lamp that is only five watts. When the surface of the water was calm and no longer wavy, coupled with the eyes that were used to and focused, I finally saw something. Inside the tub, I saw a face, at first glance I saw it was the face of a man I didn't recognize at all. At first still unsure, then continued to stare at him, trying to make sure again. It turned out to be true, it was a man's face, there was a head in the tub of water. A few seconds later I immediately ran outside, when I saw that face finally smiled. It's really scary. What happened next was even more terrifying, it happened about six months I had lived there. Initially, I heard that one of the boarding house residents had been sick for almost a month. This sick friend finally returned to his parents' house, until he was completely healed.
I, who is not very familiar with this sick friend, heard rumors from other residents about the reason why he could be sick for such a long time, he said he was sick because of shock. Shock why? He said, before getting sick, he saw pocong in the bathroom. Pocong was standing behind when he was urinating. "That's a true story Man, when it happened I was here, you weren't even there." That's what Ansar, the boarding house neighbor on the right said. If that's the case, why is it really scary, I thought so, then I can only hope that I won't experience the same thing. But yes, hope remains hope. One day a few weeks later, I came home late at night, around eleven o'clock I arrived at the boarding house. As usual, after lying down for a while I went straight to the bathroom. Because it was late, at that time the boarding house was quiet, there was no sound of occupant activity. At first I was lazy, but how come my body feels sticky, I finally decided to take a shower. When I was in front of the bathroom, I chose the one at the end, because the other door was closed as if there was something in it. Once inside, I then started taking a shower. It's normal, nothing strange has happened, although I'm a little nervous considering that so many scary events have happened, what's more, it's almost midnight. In short, the shower is almost done, it's just a matter of drying off with a towel. I towel facing the door. On the bathroom door stuck a face-sized round mirror, a mirror that is often in the bathroom in general. I washed all parts of the body including the head and face. When I was drying my head, I definitely couldn't see anything because the view was covered by the towel. When finished, when the view was finally free and no longer blocked by the towel, I saw the mirror in front of me, the mirror attached to the door. Shocked, my heart stopped beating, when I saw pocong from the mirror reflection. The Pocong was standing behind me, although it could only see its face and head, it was still very scary. Then, again, I immediately rushed out of the bathroom. It turns out that the story that has been circulating so far, like there is a pocong in the bathroom, that night I saw it myself.

I am Fenty, a private employee based in Jakarta. The company I work for is engaged in consulting services, our clients are spread all over Indonesia. Because of the large number and spread of clients, it is necessary for us to periodically send people to visit clients outside Jakarta, one of those people is me. Yes, so I often work out of town. In short, as many of us know, if you are out of town, you will definitely stay at the hotel for the required time. That way, I have stayed in various types of hotel models. From ordinary hotels in small towns, to luxury hotels in big cities, I've lived in all of them. From the ordinary, there is no spooky at all, to the very scary. Scary? Yes. I've experienced scary events that even happened in a luxury hotel. Here's the story.. Surabaya, in 2014, the company sent me alone to visit the Client's office in the city of heroes. At that time the company put me in a luxury hotel in the Darmo Raya area. The hotel is a modern building, providing upscale rooms with various facilities. When I'm in a luxury hotel like this, I'm all refreshing, by using all the existing facilities. I still remember, it was the last night in Surabaya, the next morning I had to go back to Jakarta. Usually, when it's the last day like this, I spend some time relaxing looking for a place to unwind to eat and drink outside the hotel. The same as that night, I spent time in one of the cafes, which was quite far from the hotel. After finishing "Me time", I returned to the hotel around eight o'clock. Do not enter the room directly, but first use one of the facilities, namely the gym. Quite a long time, until 10 o'clock I go to the gym. After that just enter the room. In the room, lying down for a while on the bed, relaxing watching TV, while waiting for the bathtub to be full of water. That night I intended to take a warm bath, which seemed to be very delicious after a tired day of activities. After the bathtub was full, I went into the bathroom. The bathroom in my room is large, there are two rooms separated by a translucent glass wall. The first room contains two sinks in front of which there is a large mirror, then there is also a toilet. The second room, of course, contains the bathtub where I soaked. As I said earlier, soaking in warm water after being tired of activities is a splash of heaven, the pleasure is incomparable.
But, it turned out to be only for a moment, maybe only fifteen minutes I enjoyed a warm bath, because the next I started to feel something strange. While I was taking a bath with my eyes closed, I suddenly heard something. It was as if a woman's voice was whispering in his ear. "Get up.." Sounds like that. Of course I was shocked, whose voice was that? Ah maybe I fell asleep for a while and dreamed, I'm still trying to think positively. Then, I buried my face, wet my head with warm water. Well, a few seconds later, when the head had come to the surface, of course I had to wash my face wiping water. That's when I was shocked, when my vision was still not perfect because there was still water on my face. Not directly, but I saw a figure standing behind the glass wall, standing in front of the sink! Female figure, long hair.. My reflex immediately rubbed my eyes and then looked directly in front of the sink more clearly. But, apparently no longer visible, the figure disappeared. Terrified, I decided to finish my bath, then got out of the tub. But, while still standing beside the bathtub, suddenly the bathroom light went out, so it was dark, but there was still some light from outside that came in through the gap under the door. The more scared, I then quickly towels intend to go straight out of the bathroom. Turns out it's not that easy... In the dim light, I feel like I'm not alone. Sure enough, when my eyes got used to the dark, I saw a sinister figure, a woman, standing in the corner next to the toilet. He just didn't move, it was scary. Seeing that, I immediately ran, took my clothes casually, then went out of the room. After that I asked the hotel to change rooms. It was an experience that I will remember for the rest of my life.
