When Ida woke up after a few hours, Leon wasn't there.
She puckered her lips and uttered, "He left without showing me his face or telling me his name."
However, when she glanced around the room, she saw Leon's belongings were still there. She also noticed her son was missing from the cradle. Then, she looked at the gun she had thrown in the corner of the room and saw it wasn't there.
Ida's face turned pale after thinking of the worst possible situation. She immediately got off the bed and rushed outside of her room.
In the living room, she saw her son placed on the table, and Leon was sitting on the chair in front of him with a gun in his hand aimed at Ida's son.
"No!" Ida yelled on top of her lungs and dashed at Leon to stop him.
However, it was too late.
Leon had already pressed the trigger.
"No!" Ida yelled as tears rolled down her cheeks, and she dropped to her knees.
