Synopsis
Awakening in a forest with no memories. wandering a world where blue screens appear to my thoughts, and Magical creatures bray for my blood. My birth was uneventful for me. But the storm that heralded my birth from within the rose was not. The remnants of the storm scattered to the four points of the compass, and the sky lit up for miles around. Many eyes beheld this wonder, a few cowering in fear, some gazed in wonder and concern. One pair piercing and green beheld the light in interest, but innumerable were the red eyes that narrowed to slits, glaring up in anger, hate and insatiable hunger. As one a great tide of magical beasts, flooded towards the rose, and a solitary catfolk walking calmly towards a column of light.

Chapter 1 - Begginings

Not the most profound or sage of thoughts for her first ones, But they were at least hers. Unlike the leaf in her hand, the beautiful whispering leaf. The foxkin woman paused blinking her topaz eyes. Whispering!?

She looked at the leaf in shock as she heard again soft whispers. Each gentle murmur making her long ears flick and turn.

"You have awoken my child"

"....." She opened her mouth but no words came forth. Trying again The fox twitched her nose in irritation. she thought as her ears flattened for a moment.

^thank you^ she signed to the leaf, and looked at her hands for a moment.

She continued looking around, confusion giving way to wonder. the ears perking back up, and a fanged smile broadening on her muzzle. As she saw the breathtaking forest sprawled around her. She was half laying in a small clearing. There was a deep pond to her right and a sea of forget-me-nots to her left. Taking a shaky breath, she could smell the crushed wild garlic under her, mingling with the scent of the flowers. A circle of destruction was spread around her. the flowers and grass burned as if by Ice. the darkened frozen ground a stark reminder. She realized that something had happened. Something destructive. Thinking back the woman could remember nothing prior to waking up in this clearing. She did not even have a name.

Still looking around her gem like eyes moved to herself. She moved over to the pond to look at her reflection. She was short, around 4 foot she thought. Her eyes were a topaz blue and mesmerized her for a moment. Her tail had a soft azure tip, and there were the same colour markings under her eyes. An azure rose shape on her arm, and her body was agile and slender.

She wore a black cheongsam, that finished at her thighs, with a hip high slit. the black silk cloth decorated with silver dots and star like patterns, along with astrological circles and symbols.

She sighed with relief and frowned, her nose twitching again as her ears swiveled. There was a strange blinking symbol at the top right of her vision. Batting her hand at it, a translucent screen appeared, making her gasp in shock, scrambling away, but the screen followed.

She read through the information with interest. A new Blue window appeared, making her jump again.

¬A Spacial Ring, is a device with which to store items in an interdimensional space. The user should focus their mind towards the ring to enter its space.¬

Azura blinked again and froze. Slowly signing

^thank you blue floating thing^ She sighed at the situation, doing as the screen suggested, delightedly finding she could enter the ring. She quickly did so, excited to see what answers were within. Her mind entered the white space and found it was close to 10 meters by 10 meters cubed, and utterly empty. She exited the ring with annoyance.

Sitting down on the grass she began to assess her body once again, focusing she could feel her blood and her Qi flowing along her meridians, as well as her vast sea of consciousness.

She shook her head Clearing her thoughts she again focused on this Qi, trying to move and sense it. To her astonishment, she found she could. It was a silvery cold gas that flowed in her body. Instinctively realizing this was what empowered her aura she smiled in delight.

she hummed to herself. The sea of consciousness was fairly simple, a large ocean in which a translucent form of herself floated in the lotus position with her eyes closed. Around this version of her, she could see a few runes floating, inspecting them carefully, she was able to make out strange glyph like patterns behind each Rune. While with each one she focused on, she gained a flood of understanding in her mind as to its purpose.

Soul seal:

[Seal the soul in the body, preventing it from escaping for a brief period of time, granting a longer period of time to save the body before death. The body must be at least 80% intact]

she shook her head in disbelief at this strange spell. she thought worried. Not wanting to worry about the future she focused on the second one.

Yin Arrows:

[Create a yin arrow that is elementless and made of pure force. This arrow has moderate speed and inflicts force-based damage. Power, size, and the number of arrows can be controlled at will, and with increased circles.]

Still despite uncertainties she smiled with this rune, moving her gaze back to the remaining two runes. Yet as she focused on them a splitting pain assaulted her mind, gasping she stopped looking at them and left her sea of consciousness.

Thinking for a moment, Azura raised her hand.

She focused and felt an urge to trace the rune in the air. She tried and a glowing arrow of pure moonlight formed before exploding in her face.

Azura blinked shocked and tried again, yet each time the arrow exploded. Frustrated she thought about what was happening. Humming she thought that perhaps the rune was incorrect. Taking a deep breath Azura tried again, this time the Arrow formed perfectly and held. She gave a silent cheer, breaking her concentration, and the arrow promptly exploded.

She yelled in her mind. Shifting her position to the lotus like what her form did in her mind. She began to focus, losing track of time. She studied the two runes that she had comprehended in her mind, as the hours ticked by. Opening her eyes she found that it was deep into the night. Moonlight filtered down into the clearing, and she watched in astonishment as a vortex of energy had formed between her hands. The light sucking in and filtering into her body. Not moving a muscle she turned her attention inwards and found her body was greedily drinking the light that was funneled into her by the vortex. This light was creating islands in her sea of consciousness, a small frozen tundra that floated just off her immaterial figures right. While a second island seemed to be forming made of flickering light but was weak and insubstantial.

The other part of the energy funneled into herself was being poured into her meridians and the pathways formed between them. She stared in interest as the channels enlarged and the gaseous energy was pulled in. It was formless and had little presence, but she knew this was how to improve her body and her aura. Looking back at her hands, she memorized the pattern her hands had taken. Realizing quickly that the vortex held them in such a way she had made while tracing the runes. It seemed as she focused on her runes, she had stumbled on something interesting.
