He remembered promising Ellora that he would do his everything to save Inari, but when the time came, he killed her with his own hand.
Inari, something happened to her in the previous timeline. She just snapped and went to the wrong path after all the injustice she had been through. And Elior, being the hypocrite Guardian, a Symbol of Justice, drew his blade to slit her throat.
Elior tried to shove all this away, thinking on this timeline he hadn't killed her. Inari wasn't dead. He hadn't done the deed yet. But in the end, all this is for nothing. Because it would always stay with him that he killed her, nothing would change that, even regressing the time. Or does it?
Time paradox was never easy to understand. The point was that he chose to kill Inari, even after promising to protect her. That makes him who he didn't want to be, a hypocrite. Nothing could change that.
