Chapter 2 - Arales

Wolford, Capital City of Arales Kingdom (Pic)

Wolford Skyship Station

A stunning beautiful lady that could cause a calamity and, at the same time, fear in the hearts of many stood proud and tall. Every action she took caused the onlookers' hearts to sway. Every movement she made, their eyes followed.

If the lecherous king of Arachel saw her, there was no doubt the peace treaty would be ripped apart. Her beauty could cause a calamity. But her eyes, darkest of blue, instilled fear in the hearts of many. She stood proud and tall. Her blue hair in ponytail waved like oceans when she walked.

There were many promising ladies in Arales, but none could match the confidence she gave off. It was massive like she could swallow you whole by just starring at you.

She was like a goddess and a warrior combined in one.

The only daughter of Duke Valter Rozarrian.

Like many others present at Wolford skyship station, Felysa was wearing a formal white long sleeve collar shirt, blue necktie, and red double-breasted four-button blazer complete with emblems and badge of Arcane academy. On her right hand was a silver bracer Armalest with a cerulean stone shining at the center.

"Father, it's time for me to go. I swear that I won't disgrace our House, or my name is not Felysa Rozarrian," Felysa swore, voice straight as the conviction in her eyes. There were no words to be said. No actions to be made. Her promise was enough.

Valter Rozarrian didn't know whether to laugh or cry at what his daughter's said.

A man at his prime built like a rock but appeared like a cover in one of those fashion magazines in Arcania Kingdom, which old ladies love to read. Albeit his age, his posture stood strong and true, coupled with his dandy looks and dark blue hair and subtle beard, women, even the young ones, blushed at the sight of him.

Valter was at a loss and was having difficulty forming conversations with Felysa. His wife died due to sickness when Felysa was young. No one guided her when it came to lady matters. Felysa didn't have someone to look up to but him. Only the hired noble tutors taught her lessons on etiquettes and nobility. However, concerning character and personality, being a father, he could only guide her as what a father would do best –– tempered her to become strong.

Valter restrained the shook of his head. He felt complicated about what his daughter had become. He felt like he had wronged her. But his chest was overwhelming with pride. It was complicated.

"Mmm . . ." Valter forced a smile as Felysa bowed her head and walked towards the ship.

Meanwhile, in the same area, a woman with long black hair, rippling like the finest silk in Asuka Kingdom, was in distress. Dress in the formal red uniform of Arcane academy, cloaked in a black robe, she wondered, lost and trembling. The onyx earrings dangled on her ears as her body shuddered. Her Armalest ring shone whenever she clasped her hands in front of her chest.

"I-I wonder where ship forty-seven is?"

Pamela roamed her eyes, tears about to fall. She was lost yet again, and this time, it wasn't good. If she couldn't find her ship in time, she was afraid the academy would close their gates, and her mission would forever be lost all because she couldn't board a boat on time.

"Hey! Pamela! I found it! I found it!"

Exclaimed a bell-like voice, coming from above.

Pamela's eyes shone when a fluffy white creature flew towards her. The creature was about the size of a cat and looked like one. White and gold furs intermingled, thick around the neck and head with few feathers sticking out. Large ears and glowing eyes like the color of burning amber while soft feathery wings about the same size of its body fluttered on each of its side.

Morpheus, the familiar, cloaked in white. (Pic)

People's jaws would drop at the sight of it. In the world of Arcana, creatures like this were common as clouds. But having a beast that followed and could communicate with humans was unheard of.

However, all saw was only that lone woman draped in a black cloak and didn't notice a flying creature at all.

"Morpheus! I'm so glad you came back!" Pamela said with her mind, keeping her happy expression to a minimum so she wouldn't attract too much attention. Yet a delicate, pretty flustered face like hers proved to be a challenge to conceal as occasional peeks rained her way.

"Heh! Look at you, shaking and cowering in fear. What will you do without me?" Morpheus boosted as she landed on Pamela's shoulder.

"Y-you couldn't blame me . . . T-this is my first time in a big city . . . ," Pamela mumbled, eyes darting left and right as if afraid that someone might hear her.

"Well, come on! I found your ship, and it's going to take off any moment! We don't have time to dawdle!"

"Y-yes!"

The air surrounding them rippled, and in the blink of an eye, the two of them were gone like there was no one there in the first place, and the crowd didn't notice a thing.
