Chapter 2 - Clandestine Marriage

'The glorious tribe of Higda'ad. How great is the tribe? One can tell really that their fame came from the might of their sword, 'The Green Hekshi.' But now the wielder is no more, our chances of vanquishing them are high. I will never fail my nation on this mission.' This was the thought that hovered over the mind of the Hectorean Princess, the first daughter of King Uri and his second heir apparent before she vanished via her magical portal.

She was on a discrete mission of saving the life of her brother by retrieving the Green Heikshi from the tribe of Higda'ad which has had the sword for over twenty years. It was theirs but now she thinks it's a priority for it to change hands.

She has only but three-four hours to change her brother's destiny or else his fate will be determined at her back.

She is known in decades of war for her bravery. She started leading war rear troops at the age of 15. She is the said possessor of the Jho fieng Bow (Dracunela). Her paranormal abilities include one great skill that was lost centuries ago, 'The power of the Confessing.' She was tagged, the daredevil because of the beauty that accompanies her might.

Nevertheless her facial beauty, her figure outstands that of the Hectorean Empress, her mother who was known for the ribless stature of her waist. Her blonde hair magnifies her pure black eyes. She has always been attractive even in her wardress.

Usually, in a Century there lives only one person with the ability to confess. The skill is usually giving to women, but for men, it is hard to find, that is why the possessor is often addressed as the Mother Confessor. It was about eight centuries ago when the power was given not sparingly, but men because of their woeful afflictions acted prudently with it. The power was banned from existence by the Races Mystic Cabinets (RMC).

Jho fieng bow is the bow rumored to be wielded by the Devil's wife but was retracted by the Human race when it was the only hope of survival. It is a bow that sends the arrow at a high rate of gravitational propulsion. Just but a single arrow from it can destroy battalions of enemies without weakling. The hurling sound that the arrow emits causes, internal drainage of the system's inner energy. It also emits black fume that can make a foggy background from a bright area.

But now the case is different, neither her power nor her bow was the hope of living but the Green Heikshi (sword of Spells). A sword that controls the order of spells on mother earth, other than Sul Tah. It was forged with the blood of Moarn Legends. It symbolizes authority and legitimacy among the tribe of Higda'ad. So the Princess means no joke to her new mission of snatching the sword from the Higda'ad Fortress.

(THE GRAND TRIBE OF HIGDA'AD)

(At the Castle)

"As we all know, today is the day we have been waiting for, the day when the Prince will choose his mate!" The King's spokesman said and the crowd cheered.

"But the question will be, 'Who - will - be - the - bride!" At this, the crowd gave out a buzzing applaud.

"Now let's begin!!!!" He fine-tuned and the occasion began.

The flutist and other musical players started breeding life and happiness in the hall. Different dancers, inclusive of fire dancers and some who tend to control water for fun.

But there was something distinct, immediately ladies for the Bride presentation entered the hall for choreography. The Prince felt ennui and went out of the hall. Everyone became deserted by his action.

"What sort of inhumanity is this, a groom leaving the bride?" The crowd murmured in annoyance. Queen Vered on hearing their intuition chased after her son, her only heir to the throne and their only hope of salvation.

She found him outside, near his father's necropolis, looking furious and sad.

"Son, this is not the time for this, come and choose your bride first. With that, your father's bone would be spirited." She implored. But he turned towards her in his furious gaze and said,

"Mother, I would like to go somewhere," He said vehemently.

"Where to, precisely." The Queen, his mother asked.

"I would be back soon." She was too slow to undercover what he truly meant until he vanished.

'But, what was he doing in front of the necropolis?' She reasoned but a while and went inside the mural.

The Necropolis of the King has been known as the sacred placement of the Heikshi, as he was the last person that wielded it. Guards subsist around its ambiance.

Inside the mural, the Queen went to the placement of the sword but it was too late, he vanished with it. She got edgy because she lacks the knowledge of where her son materialized to with the Glorious Sword, as they call it.

The truth be told, Prince Avner had no place in mind before fading into thin air, rather he just answered nature's call of fate.

(Back on the path of the Princess)

On her trail, she materialized in a bushy part of the Higda'ad tribe where she sensed the presence of humans.

"Hey!" She called out to a man on a black cloak, backing her. He jolted to a stop, showing a side view of his face which reveals an indelible mark at his under eye.

"Where leads to Gungnae base (the Capital of Higda'ad)?" But the man didn't make a sound but moved on. This made the princess nearly jump out of her skin, she despise being snubbed of response.

'If only this man knew who I am, he wouldn't dare me.' She thought.

"Mister! Am talking to you!" She yelled in annoyance. But he kept moving. She alighted the horse and stride towards him, all to undercover she was walking on a trap. She was almost at his reach before she started plummeting deep into mud clay.

'Oh no! What am I to do now? I left my bow on the horse and the ground base is far from the trap' She cursed inwardly as she sank profoundly into the mud.

She tried vanishing through her portal pathway, but it was useless, it seems like the mud was spelled.

The unknown man turned and behold his under-eye mark was seen clearly with his eye colored red, he is one of the wolfbloods. But before she could comprehend they have surrounded her, those things from the lineage of the were coyotes.

"Now my lady, who are you?" He asked intriguingly. The Princess got bewildered...

'Wait? Does it mean he can read my psyche?'

"Sure, I can." He replied coercing. This melted the Princess's heart with fear. "...So don't think about escaping, for I will help you with that." He taunted and they laughed cynically. The Princess got enraged in anger and spat on him.

"Oh!! That reminds me...the muddy clay was made an adhesive with our froths am sure that will make your day." He spat betwixt my risen hair and the mud and it glued it down forcing me to lay back my hair into the sludge, leaving only my face free from the mud.

'Guuush! I have heard of the wolfbloods and how their drool can form soot. It was rumored they can control one's thrust in the mud, I never believed it because I've never seen one, I suppose. But now I got the chance to see the creature but they came in tens. I guess they are being piteous on me for not bedazzling my eye with their froths.' The thought encompassed her about. 'Or should it be that I was tailed?' This particular psyche enigma curdled her blood. She knew they came for her sake.

Princess had to make a change of mission from her initial mission. 'The Quest for life.' She can't continue on the initial mission in this state, so she needs to sustain life in the hands of the enemy.

The second in command approached her horse, caressed on her but the horse neighed fear into his ribs.

"Uh, little one! I see you are both in love. But if you want your lover girl to escape here alive," he flaunted his elongated canines in threat, "...then you should let me touch you." He made the Princess a bait for the horse. Princess tried severally to coax the horse into disbelief, but the little one can't be the cause of her Princess' death. She let him in.

"You are a good girl, I must say." He laughed as he walked towards the side of the horse.

To the Princess, their motive was crystal clear, they wanted the Dracunela. It has once been governed by the devil, so now they want to wield it, all for their woeful afflictions on Human races. She won't let that happen, even so, they prophesied the loss of the Dracunela unto her, but she kept it safer even in the perilous moments like this...rather she would prefer paying with her life, but even in the grave she would be sure no one ever neared the Jho fieng Bow.

Immediately he set his hands on the Jho fieng now, he cried out, engrossed from the glow of life-sucking light, he dissipated into the air - His life was gone and the rest of them became alerted and enraged.

"Hahaha..." He laughed demonically, "...how could I not trust the bravest warrior of Hectors...?!" He taunted, but more menacingly. He pulled his poisonous dagger out and the horse neighed in suspect.

"I know you like your horse," he bent down to the Princess's ear and whispered, "...she has always been with you throughout your battle experiences..."

Now it became plain to the Princess that this battle didn't begin today, she must have been spied on for years.

"But I will show you, your little one can throw away all the lessons she learned because of you, or maybe she didn't learn anything." He jerked the sword over her neck.

Klareon (her Horse), has been known as the battle fiercest horse. It has battled along with the Princess for about 11 years, but to die in a weakling trap for the Princess would be a dishonor to the ardent warrior.

On the sight of the placement of the dagger, the Horse neighed aggressively running to the Princess, hopefully for her rescue, but she didn't know it was a dead-end for her journey, a freakish trap.

"Nooooooo!" The Princess screamed with pain. But it was too late, they were already two in the mud. But something was different, the rate at which the horse sinks, was faster. Tears paved their way down the Princess's eye.

This time she needed extra power apart from her inner energy of wielding water and fire...she needed limitless power, like the Dracune (the Blood rage). She craved for it in a manner, but it was to no avail.

It is the limitless power of a mother confessor, she can control battalions with that, including wizards. She can control non-living elements like metal, sand, trees, and many things with just a mind switch. If only, it can grace her once more, after all the several occurrences of it at the battleground, she will be okay.

Her hope was lost, the head of her horse lingers only the nostrils, the rest were in the mud when an unusual wind accompanied with fog took over the ambiance. She could see but a green weird sword and a hand that freezes everything it came across. The hand froze the frontal mud around the horse's snout to avoid more sinking.

It came and passed just like the wind, cutting all the wolfbloods hands into the mud, turning it red in an instinct. Before another slash was made, the mud had become a pool of blood and watery.

She jumped out of the mud in conjunction with Klareon and slashed the last man standing, the man from the beginning, the bait, and boss of them all. From the look in her eyes, she thinks her savior (referring to the hand), left him for her vengeance.

Then every place became quiet. She gaped for the hand but couldn't find it. She saw it from a distance forming full-body, she walked slowly towards it, while a voice said from behind,

"Be careful to avoid another pitfall." Her pressure was lost, she turned towards the sound wave, but she ended up running into him. He was directly behind her, wearing white attire throughout.

His beauty is formidable just like his skill. He has gray short hair and silver eyes, glittering with oceanic lustre. His nostrils are outstanding in a manner that exalts his Pinkish mouth. His gait can be easily fathomed, he can be seen among battalions. Royalty runs in his veins. He is the true example of a Monarch. His sword tells a mystery that no one can easily decipher. To the eyes that witnessed everything about him is charming.

Perplexed by his beauty and being tasty of his lips, as he was craving for hers they fastened their separation with one-foot stride per each. Eyes locked, ready to unlock the cage of love, a rumbling sound made a slit and it was on Avner.

Anger raptured the Princess and culminated her in the Mood of Dracune, the blood rage...she made the so-called attempted killer commit suicide.

To Avner's amazement, he has heard about confessors and their mood Dracune, but today he witnessed one, but a slight difference. The blood rage usually befalls them when their enemies outnumber them, and perhaps when, it is their hope of survival. But this was just one person and a thing she could have just killed with a sword.

"With this, you could have just defeated them?" He said though frightened and another thing came to be. The Dracune evacuated the Princess in a blink, at this the Princess shuddered in fear and was compelled to ask him,

"Who are you, savior?" She asked keenly.

"Am Avner, the first son of King Alexander, the heir apparent to the throne." He replied.

'So calmly speaking and golden-hearted, the alleged enemy of our tribe. Who can make me believe that he is the one against our tribe? Who can make me believe an enemy saved me from death? The sword he grips on his left hand should be the Glorious sword, I suppose." Do I feel hate for him or l-o-v-e?'

"And who are you, Pretty one?" The question brought her back from the endless zone of thought. Her face flushed at the mention of the pretty one. She found out that he has an impact on her.

"Am Sharai Ariella Ben Avram, daughter of King Uri and the only sister to Prince Zalman." Enemies in love, they can't believe their ears. "Nice meeting you Avner..." She brought out a hand for a shake, but to her surprise, Avner took her in and hugged her. Tears followed up the scene.

"I have been here for almost two hours watching you and the wolfbloods." He adjoined.

"Then why didn't you save us earlier?"

"I was admiring your beauty and your pure heart...the heart that bore this great love between and love" He specified. " ...then I found out who you were, yet my heart clamors for you..." He paused and glared into her eyes, "Ari! I love you." The wind around them changed at the mention of love.

"Same here." She retorted happily, glowing with love.

"Ari, will you be my mate?" He asked seriously and Ari's heart raced in a thousand miles marathon. She was truly in love, no hide about that. Perhaps, this will help unite their tribes, especially now that the nonhuman race of Wolfbloods is back. She knew she can win over battalions of enemies but not one enemy with the key to her heart.

"If only, you would let me prove my love for you, I will be happier." She replied.

"Is that a - yes?" He asked seriously and she nodded. He hugged her again.

"Ari, what other name do you bear, so it will be our bond name?"

"Yeonsooh (meaning- Flower)."

"Yeon-sooh, you will be my rose." She smiled at that.

"And you?" She asked.

"Muhyul (meaning - no heart, no blood)."

"Muhyul, I will forever be your heart and your blood." She responded and they kissed for what seemed like endlessness.

Before she could realize what was transpiring they were already in the castle of Higda'ad, right in the Matching Hall. The populace murmured on their sight, while Muhyul leaned in towards her and said,

"Do not panic, for only you and I will know your tribe and who you are until all these adversaries are overpast." He gave her solace, but mostly she confided in him.

"This is my mate, she lives in a foreign land, I went to bring her home for she is of this soil. Her name is Yeonsooh, she lost her parents to the Moarns legendary journey, and as such, she is an orphan. She is my rightful match and the only one I wish to spend my life with, whether far or near, I want her declared mine." He started and they were wedded without any problem.

They both teleported outside after the marriage and she began to journey back home. To her time was truly fast, changing her from one mission to another and ended conflating two enemies into one true family in the diaspora. She ended being one of the protectors of what she once fought against.
