Chapter 4 - Oil

"OK, now let's turn upright... hmmm hmm hmm... fuck why is this so fucking hard to turn?" said Daniel with a tone filled with irritation.

"Come down! Come on down! I will only make things worse if I get angry and tense up. " Daniel said this with a tired expression.

[hehe] laughed at the man ahead of him.

"You! Laughing at me? OK, I will regret it, amigo... "said Daniel, with anger coming to his tone.

["Haha haha, hahaha, hahaha! You are a clown, my friend. It's romantic how you and the horse look together. It's like how the horse works while you just hug it. ["] before the unknown man could finish his sentence.

"SHUT THE FUCK UP," Daniel shouts out. "

Daniel had tightened his grip on the horse's bridge. while letting go of the grip his legs had on the horse's stomach. He moved back and forth twice beforehand, getting enough strength and momentum to take care of himself back on top of the horse. "I'm coming for you, Baster!"

Daniel with a cruel look in his eyes.

After he had gone back on top of his horse. He started to pick up speed whilst trying to get ahead of the rider. But that unknown man would move to the spot Daniel was trying to move to. It was like the man had eyes on his back because there was no other way he could have seen it. While Daniel was struggling to get ahead, Diego had to cross the bridge while Lucas was looking back at how the events played out with Daniel. Lucas wasn't the only person looking back to see what was going on with him. The other unknown writer had been looking at him. Also on the back of his horse, two big jugs were usually filled with milk. Lucas knew there was no milk in there.

Both of the unknown riders were wearing scarves over their mouths to hide their identities. The one with Lucas had a big stick with him for some odd reason. He was holding tight on it like it was a baby that would run away from him if he didn't hold it tighter. After Diego had crossed the bridge, he shouted: "Lucas, I'm winning this race!" He easily caught Lucas's attention. Lucas had stopped standing around with his horse and made it start crossing the bridge while shouting "no I will win you dickhead!"

Daniel and the unknown writer had finally reached the bridge and they were looking on as Lucas was crossing the halfway point of the bridge. The order had been set in stone and Daniel couldn't go ahead of the unknown riders. However, the order in which they crossed was not one of his problems. As Lucas had done before, Daniel had noticed the man holding the odds take a stick and the two jugs behind his horse. Daniel, you could send tension in the air as they waited for Lucas to cross.

After Lucas had crossed the bridge, the man with the stick started to move forward, but before he stepped a foot on the bridge. He opened one of the jugs and black liquid started to pour out. After the weird black liquid started, the other Ryder moved his horse and watched his friend cross the bridge at top speed. The black liquid had pored all over the bridge and made the fine Whitebridge and it look like a muddy stable.

The man with the stick had stopped right after he crossed the bridge and looked at two people waiting behind him before saying to his friend that it was time. After hearing those words, the other unknown writer stepped back and turned around his horse to go back on top of the hill. That made Daniel very curious about what these two had been planning, so he moved his horse closer to the bridge. He'd stepped off his bridge and knelt to see what the black liquid was when he touched and felt it. He knew what it was. It was oil and the man had wasted around 3 gallons of it to cover the whole bridge. Oil was very expensive to the point where there was an ability to buy more than half a gallon for the entire town. Daniel was very much confused as to why the man would waste that much oil on the bridge.

What Daniel didn't expect was that the man was lighting the odd stick he had held on the whole time to burn down the bridge. After a few seconds of the man trying to catch the stick on fire, it lit. He threw the steak right on the bridge and the fire started to spread out quickly. Daniel had noticed the fire in the smoke rising and he had to think quickly before the bridge burned down and he would automatically lose the race.

He immediately took off his clothes and ran straight to the river. The entrance was closed with water before he put them on, and they ran straight to his horse. He splashed the horse with some water that he was wearing and forced the horse to get ready to run on the burning bridge.
