After what had gone down with Daniel the crowd on top of the hill were at all of what just happened. Some couldn't believe what the announcer was saying, so they had taken the binoculars for themselves to see. they were shocked at the sight of two grown-ass men stuck on a clumped cactus.
The girls that knew Daniel had started to scream his name while their husbands been looking at them like you better not be cheating. The person who was shocked the most was Diego's father. He had shown a smile after he had heard the news thinking that his sister didn't give birth to a useless son. However, it that smiled vanished as Quickly as it appeared.
Daniel may have been the most handsome man in the town. However, he had rejected every single offer for marriage, yet the men could still not but hate him. Every man in Daniels's age group knew that if Daniel had chosen a wife. he could've easily taken their currents wife that shattered their ego and burned their confidences. They couldn't help themselves from wishing him to fail miserably trying to win this race, it was not about the money anymore it was about their manhood.
Back with Daniel, the cold breeze that started to hit his face kept on intensifying. Daniel wasn't trying to make his horse go faster matter of fact he couldn't even slow it down. As Gypsy continued to pick up speed the feeling of danger that loomed over Daniels had finally settled in his mind and made him worry. To Daniel, it felt like someone was breathing over his head watching and listening to every move he had made.
Daniel kept cursing as he thought of who had he offended in the past weeks. To his surprise, he couldn't think of anyone in the past few weeks he had only been going downhill thinking of the best ways to win races. The only people he had interaction with within the last three weeks have been his aunty Diego and Lucas. While Daniel was thinking about his life choices. Currently, he was in the fifth spot of the race and Diego was in first Lucas and second and two unknown Ryders were ahead of Daniel.
It wasn't odd for people out of town to join in the races, it was very common in their town. However, for some reason, the two unknown riders had a vendetta against Daniel. it was because they could have taken the lead over Lucas and Diego yet they chose to say next to Daniel.
After Daniel couldn't come up with a name he had started to focus back on the race. He was surprised to see that he was heading for a rope tied between two trees and he couldn't force his horse to turn away from the collision. Daniel had to think quickly if he didn't he would collide with the rope. he knew if that happened he wasn't going to feel great afterwards.
He had 20 seconds before he collide with the rope. The situation from earlier made him tenses up his body, but right now he needed to think to call Me and figure out a way to avoid getting hit. After taking a deep breath and calming himself for five seconds Daniel had taken off one of his hands from the bridle. Hand to tug and scratch at the belt that connected the horse's saddle. He was trying to release the grip of the saddle head on the horse's back, so the saddle could move around freely.
It had taken him seven seconds to loosen grab the belt head on the saddle and he had managed to do it barely before he would collide with the rope. Contrary to what you might think Daniel had stopped fearing and has started to enjoy the ride the speed and the danger made him feel more alive than he has ever felt. It was a hard needle to thread however Daniel believes that he could manage it.
In the situation, Daniels's mind was as clear as a sky not a single cloud could be seen. All of his other thoughts had vanished and the only thing he could sense was the determination he had to thread the needle. Four seconds before the collision with the rope Daniel had tightened his grip on the bridled while tightly hugging the gypsy's neck. Taking advantage of the loose saddle he and his body turned 90° to the right while still hugging the horse's neck. Those moves made him be able to barely dodge the road. He was still riding basically upside down while his horse caught up with one of the other racers next to him.
On top of the hill, a young 16year old lady with a white and red dress with roses threads had fainted. She was one of the people who had forcefully taken the binoculars from the announcers. She had kept her eyes on Daniel the whole time. The moment she saw the situation Daniel was in she had started to worry like her life was at stake. When she had seen how creatively Daniel managed to avoid that disaster she had fainted from pure joy. She was one of the few girls that were 16 who didn't marry yet. She had asked her father to Marry her to Daniel on several occasions and every time her father tried to approach or even talk about her with Daniel he had refused blatantly. Her father was the mayor of the town and had a lot of authority. however, he couldn't force Daniel to marry his daughter. The more Daniel had rejected her father the more engrossed and attracted to him she became.
Maria Lucas's wife knew How to infatuated she was to Daniel. She also knew the kind of woman Daniel liked and sadly Rose was the opposite of those girls. Daniel didn't dislike her because she was ugly matter-of-fact she was one of the prettiest girls in town. However, her stuck-up demeanour made him dislike her. Daniel liked strong women who knew more than cooking and cleaning. His auntie has scolded him many times about that. she even had told him that that kind of woman, he would never find in this town.
Rose wasn't the only person who had paid attention to Daniel. Inside the mining town on the roof of one of the buildings a hooded figure with binoculars watched Daniel while laughing wildly.
