Chereads / The Truth only in My Diary / Chapter 26 - Chapter 26

Chapter 26 - Chapter 26

A dim light of the sun comes in through the window. The sun dims into twilight, the day is getting late.

The birds fly across the sky to go back into their nests. The sound of small animals singing and dancing around spread over into this quiet room.

Seeing how darker her room was, Ariella squeezed her eyes shut to resist the glare from the sun coming into her room through the window. Ariella stood from her chair.

And taking off her art apron, ready to leave the room. Ariella stretched her sore body to feel better. Drew in a long breath, tried to release tension as she exhaled. The night was approaching.

Another day has passed, Ariella only locks herself inside her workplace room. Confine from the outside world. Sometimes, her phone was vibrated from messages and notifications.

No one was other than her best friend, Angel keeping her in touch. Didn't want Angel in waiting for her reply, Ariella always sent back a reply as soon as she notice her phone was vibrating.

But when their topic changes into her relationship topic, Ariella is reluctant to chat about it. Also getting annoyance by Angel earnestness in asking about her relationship.

Deep in her heart, Ariella wants to scream real hard for knowing about their infidelity. Want them to tell in honesty about their deed. But the love for her sisterhood with Angel, she held back everything inside.

No comment for those topics, still Angel was promised to help Ariella by persuading Sean to call her before ending their conversations. Everything in her prediction. Written beautifully in her diary.

"What should I say to him?... Hmm."

"He probably calling me to tell his problem instead of his anxiousness about my condition." She continued. Her hand moved non-stop from doing their jobs.

Ariella rubbed her tired eyes after in few hours staring at her canvas. Finally, her assignment was already finished.

"Yeay!!! With this, I can do another artwork. I have a lot more of an idea with this subject." Ariella talked about the sunset subject assigned to them. Ignore what her heart told her. She wants to focus on her work entirely.

Her heart still itching every time she was thinking about Sean. As if there are pieces part of her heart still have affection toward him. Felt like yesterday, their relationship was still smooth as nothing happen.

And like yesterday as well, her unknown memory is still fresh in her mind. Like the worst nightmare keep haunting her.

She noticed for the past week after she woke up from a coma, every night she suffered from night terrors. By referring to her diary, enough to convince her that her dream and foggy memory are real.

Knocking sounds from the outside bring back Ariella into reality from her absentminded, her maid came to inform her about the dinner was ready. Ariella turned her head toward the clock that was hung to see what the time is. The clock showed the time are already past eight o'clock.

Decide to take a shower before having dinner, her body was stinking with sweat from the summer heat. Having a fresh bath will help her to face Sean later on with a clear mind and body.

After dinner, standing at her balcony room, pensive. Ariella is taking a breath like inhaling a thick smoke that comes through her lung, she is feeling nervous. The quiet atmosphere could not calm her heart down from beating so fast.

Moreover, Ariella was afraid of Sean and anxious in thought about facing him, tonight. Both hands are shaking no one knows whether it was because of the cold weather or the fear she felt towards Sean. She often looked at her phone waiting for the call from him.

Hearing the ringing from her phone, Ariella picked up the call when she saw the name of the caller from her phone screen. Heard his manly voice for the first time after the coma, which makes her whole body feel cold and get goosebumps.

Perhaps, if she didn't know everything that happened in her past life. Probably, she would be happy by only hearing his voice and able to eliminate her longing for him. Now, only the sharp pain and sadness she felt.

"Hello, babe?" Heard no answer from Ariella, Sean was repeatedly calling her nickname. He felt weird with Ariella's silence because she will always answer it quickly.

She hears it clearly but doesn't bother to respond to him straightaway. Exhaling her long breath, quietly. She make sure Sean to pay his attention to her response before he could ramble on his complaint about his problems.
