"Beep... beep..."
The atmosphere was quiet in the room and only the sound of a machine could be heard, a beautiful girl was lying in bed covered with a white blanket and her eyes closed.
Her face was pale and there was a tube attached to her hand also a bandage on her head.
Then another girl approached the girl who was lying down, seeing her unconscious state. The unconscious girl was Ariella Arknight. The other girl sat next to her, holding Ariella's hand.
As if the eyelids and fingers were moving slowly, this weak girl began to regain consciousness. When the girl holding Ariella's hand felt there was a small movement from Ariella's finger, she immediately called Ariella's name repeatedly.
Slowly she opened her eyes but the glare of light stung her eyes to keep them open. She shut her eyes back. "Ariella? Are you awake? Thank God…". The girl who spoke was Angel Bloom.
Listening to what Angel was saying Ariella seem to be confused. Angel was her best friend since middle school. She looked to be delighted that Ariella was already awake from her coma.
'My head… It hurts so much! What happens to me?'. Ariella felt the pain come from her head, making her close her eyes. She frowned in pain.
"Angie, my head… What happens to me? Urghhh!!". She tries to touch her head as she moaned in discomfort.
Seeing Ariella's condition, Angel rushed out to call the doctor. The doctor and nurse come to check on Ariella's condition. After the examination, a doctor made clear that she will feel the pain because the anesthetic effect had already worn off.
"Ariella, do you remember what happened to you? You had an accident during the hiking and got hit by a rock on your head when you fell." Angel had explained when she noticed that Ariella still doesn't know why she ended up hospitalized.
When she heard this all the memory flashed out from her head. All she remembered was that she was standing on edge of the hill to catch the scenery with her camera till she felt pushed from behind her back and fell.
'Someone pushed me?' In puzzled.
"Haa… I see I don't quite remember what happened but I felt someone accidentally pushed me."
Angel seems nervous to try to tell something but before she could. The door was opened, and a man suddenly rushed in.
That man was Ariella's uncle, Frederick Wood. He looked so stressed and worried.
"Ariel! You finally wake up. Do you know that you went into a coma for two days? Angel's friend had told her that one of your classmates not on purpose pushed you because she felt dizzy and almost fainted."
Frederick gently gripped her hand to show his concern. Ariella took a glance at her uncle and smiled even though she felt off about the facts.
'It is not on purpose? But Angel's friend, Mia Edrick will never lie to her and I believe in Angel.'
"Uncle, don't worry too much. Angie promised will take care of Ariella." Said Angel while stroking Frederick's shoulder. She tried to persuade Frederick not to think too much.
"Also, your classmate possibly will come here to apologize… I think she felt sorry for what she has done." Said Angel again while taking a glance and giving a kind of sweet smile to Ariella maybe she tried to reassure Ariella.
"Yes, uncle… you don't have to worry, I'm fine… I'll try my best to not get hurt again, okay?"
Frederick sighed with relief seeing that Ariella was in good condition. "Have a rest Ariel, if you need anything you can just tell me or Angie."
"Okay."
With that, Ariella lay down to rest. Both of them decide to go out of that room.
Every minute, for every single time Ariella kept staring at the glass window while lost in her thought. Frederick, her uncle just forbid her to go out of this room. Ariella, who is already getting bored and tired of lying on the bed, seems eager to get out of this hospital.
'I need some fresh air… I miss getting on hiking again and I miss seeing the beautiful sunset'. She just sighed, it has been one and a half days since she woke up from her coma.
"I'll try to coax uncle to allow me, at least to have a walk at hospital park."
In the end, before she could do it, the doctor come to her and said that she can be discharged tomorrow and come again by a schedule for further treatment. Because of overjoyed with the news, she had already forgotten what she was about to do before that.
