They were united in their love and desire for each other.

Lisa woke up to find Canary still asleep beside her, his peaceful expression contrasting with the tension of the previous day.

She quietly slipped out of bed, careful not to disturb him, and headed to the kitchen.

While preparing breakfast, she thought about the weight Canary was carrying.

She knew he needed rest and a moment of peace, so she focused on making something simple and comforting for him.

Canary stirred awake, the faint aroma of breakfast wafting through the air.

Blinking against the morning light, he sat up and realized Lisa wasn't in bed.

He ran a hand through his hair, his body still heavy with the exhaustion of the previous day.

Following the scent, he walked to the small kitchen and found Lisa at the stove, plating the last of the food.

"Good morning," he said, his voice low and groggy.

Lisa turned, smiling softly. "Good morning. You're just in time breakfast is almost ready."

"You didn't have to do all this," Canary said, walking closer.

She shrugged, setting the plates on the table.

"You needed rest. This was the least I could do."

Canary looked at her, warmth flickering in his chest. "Thank you, Lisa."

"Sit," she said, gesturing to a chair. "You need your strength today.

As Lisa placed the plates on the table, Canary quietly stepped closer.

Before she could turn around, his arms wrapped gently around her waist from behind, pulling her into a warm hug.

"Canary," she said, laughing softly, "what are you doing? Sit down and eat."

He rested his chin lightly on her shoulder, his voice low and affectionate.

"I just wanted to thank you," he murmured. "For last night, It was the sweetest I've ever heard..."

Lisa felt her cheeks flush as he continued.

He pressed a soft kiss to her cheek, lingering for a moment before finally letting go.

"Alright," he said with a small grin, "now I'll sit down and eat."

Lisa shook her head, smiling as they sat together at the table, a sense of calm settling over the room.

Lucy woke up with a dull headache, the events of the previous day still weighing heavily on her mind.

She rubbed her temples, took a deep breath, and decided to head downstairs for a glass of water to clear her head.

As she entered the kitchen, she found one of the maids tidying up. "Good morning," Lucy greeted softly.

"Good morning, ma'am," the maid replied with a polite smile.

Pouring herself a glass of water, Lucy sipped before asking, "Is Canary up yet?"

The maid hesitated, glancing at her cautiously. "Ma'am, Canary didn't sleep at home last night."

Lucy froze mid-sip, her brow furrowing. "He didn't? Did he say where he was going?"

The maid shook her head. "No, ma'am. He left in the afternoon and hasn't returned since."

Lucy's chest tightened with guilt and worry. She set the glass down and muttered under her breath, "Where could he have gone?"

Lucy stood still, processing the maid's words, when Ketra walked in and immediately noticed the troubled expression on her face.

"Why do you look so worried?" Ketra asked, raising an eyebrow.

"You're the reason Canary left in the first place."

Lucy turned to her, defensive. "Ketra, this isn't the time.."

Ketra cut her off, her tone firm but not unkind.

"No, Lucy. This is the time. When Canary needed you the most, you slapped him and turned your back on him. Instead of trusting your son, you let your doubts and anger get the better of you."

Lucy's eyes widened, guilt flickering across her face.

"I… I was shocked by everything that happened. I didn't know what to believe."

" But you didn't give him a chance to explain !" Ketra said.

"And now your son is out there, dealing with this alone," She added crossing her arms.

"You've always been strong, Lucy, but this time, you failed to be the mother he needed. It's not too late to fix it, but you have to start by admitting you were wrong."

Lucy swallowed hard, Ketra's words cutting deep. She knew Ketra was right, but pride and guilt were hard to overcome.

Canary and Lisa decided to have the rest of the day together and wandered in the neighborhood streets.

Here's a more concise version of the scene with the conversations intact:

The city streets buzzed with life as Canary and Lisa wandered, stopping at food carts along the way. Lisa handed him a churro, grinning.

"Come on, you have to try this," she said pointing at the churros.

Canary hesitated before taking a bite. His eyes widened.

"This… is surprisingly good," he admitted, earning a laugh from Lisa.

They continued exploring, sampling street food that Canary surprisingly enjoyed, much to Lisa's delight.

Later, they found a quiet park and sat on a bench, watching children play.

"Look at them," Lisa murmured, her voice soft.

"So carefree. It's nice to just pause and enjoy moments like these, don't you think?"

Canary nodded, his gaze lingering on her rather than the scene. "It is. I don't think I've had a day like this in… years."

Lisa turned to him with a gentle smile. "Well, there's a first time for everything."

She stood up.

" Catch me if you can!" she called over her shoulder.

Canary blinked, startled, before a mischievous grin spread across his face.

"Oh, you're not getting away that easily," he said, sprinting after her.

They weaved through the trees, their laughter mingling with the sounds of the park.

Canary almost caught her, but Lisa darted away, agile in her sneakers.

Finally, he managed to grab her hand, spinning her around as they both collapsed onto the soft grass, breathless and laughing.

"You're faster than I thought," Canary admitted, catching his breath.

Lisa smirked. "And you're not as hopeless as I expected."

They lay there for a moment, gazing at the sky as the sun dipped lower.

Canary reached out to brush a strand of hair from Lisa's face.

"Thank you for today," he said softly, his voice sincere.

Lisa turned her head to look at him, her cheeks glowing in the fading light.

" Always.." she replied, her heart feeling full as they shared a quiet moment together.

After they walked back to her house.
