Chapter 75 - Lasagne

The three noticed the Lee's emotions and immediately surrounded him. Alek hugged him while Castor crouched down so that he was on eye level with the boy and, Pollux put his hand on the boy's tiny shoulder.

"Lee, we are just going for lunch. We will come back as soon as we are done." Alek told Lee.

"Yeah, buddy. When I come back, we'll swim again." Jin told the boy and, he saw his eyes lighting up.

"We promise." Rin reassured.

"Okay!" Lee smiled. They said promise, which means they were coming back and playing with him later. Alek released the boy and stood up as Jin did.

"I think we should hurry up. Iris is getting mad." Rin just received an angry call from his sister again. The twins didn't want to get Iris mad because she could be as scary as their mother.

"Yep!" Jin carried Lee on his back since they needed the boy to open the way to the hill where Minaki and Yukari lived. "Let's go!" With that, Jin rushed off inhumanly. He used the power of his beast, which was really powerful.

"Wow..." Alek looked at where her cousin had runoff.

"We better follow them." Rin spoke to her. "Since we need to hurry, we are going to borrow some powers from our animals. Can you do that?" He asked kindly. His eyes were already shifted, indicating that he was doing what he had just said.

"Of course I can." Alek turned to look at her cousin with her beast's eyes. Her voice was deep and rusty. She was no longer Alek. She let Kiryuu take over her since she insisted.

"Oh. I can see that you can." Rin understood what was happening in a second. "Let's go." He told his cousin and ran off into the woods. He saw and heard Kiryuu following him swiftly. He turned to look ahead and followed the scent that was left by his brother and the boy.

The yellow dragon caught herself up with the man, who was running in front of her and ran with him. Soon, they passed the cave and the place where they met Pari, the fae. After a few more seconds of running, they finally reached the end of hill one and saw the two waiting for them.

"You are late." Jin and Lee had a grumpy look on their face.

"Come on! We were only seconds after you!" Rin told them as he walked.

"It doesn't matter. You are late." Jin spoke. He let Lee slide over him off the ground. The boy soon grew a scale from his arm and settled it in the middle of the sand they were standing on.

The sand did the same thing as before. It sucked up the scale and grew large. Once it was large enough, it carried the three people onto the other side and left the boy.

"Thank you, Lee!" Jin shouted towards the boy and, he ran off back into the woods after waving his hands. Today he didn't climb up since he was wet and needed to warm up.

The three turned and, again, used their beast's power to reach the stairs that went to the house of the former head in just a few seconds.

"You are late. Where were you?" Iris was standing on top of the stairs and, her arms were crossed in front of her chest. "Hi, Alek." She waved her hand at her cousin before continuing to look at her brothers.

"Hi, Iris." Alek replied. They didn't meet when Alek woke up and she didn't visit her when she went around to meet people through the mind.

"Didn't mum tell you? We went to explore." Rin began to climb up the stairs slowly. He didn't feel like using superhuman ability anymore.

"Yep. Tourism." Jin chatted in and walked next to his brother with his arms on top of Rin's. Kiryuu had given back the control to Alek and, she was now back. She followed the twins up.

"Why's your hair wet? Did you swim?" Iris asked as soon as she saw water on her brother's clothes and hair.

"Yep." Jin and Rin reached the top and, they hugged their sister.

"Ew." Iris immediately pushed Jin off of her when she felt his clothes were wet. She then went to hold Rin's hands only when she went into the room. This action hurt Jin and made him kneel on the ground with a shock. Alek tapped his shoulders before she too got into the house and left Jin there.

"We are back!" Rin spoke and, his mother came to the living room.

"You heard what Iris said, yeah? Food's ready." Astraea spoke and went back into the kitchen when she heard a woman screaming her name that it was pouring.

"I thought it was ready..." Rin looked at how his mother ran into the kitchen.

"It is. I don't know what she is making." Iris answered and brought her brother into the dining table they had been eating at for two weeks. "Wash your hands." she first brought him to the sink at the dining table before finally taking him to his seat.

"Iris..."Rin sighed when he saw preparing the plates before him. She was acting like a mother and a maid at the same time. "I can do that myself."

"No!" Iris put her hand in front of him and stopped him from rising from his seat. He didn't try to rise anymore and sat down like an obedient child.

"Mmm. Something smells delicious in here." Alek came into the room when Rin had started eating. She had removed the bandages that were covering her chest and wore a bra to make herself more comfortable. This was the reason she was coming in at this time.

Iris quickly jumped off from her seat and brought her cousin to the seat where she had been sitting. "I'll be back with your food." She told her cousin and disappeared from the room to go to the kitchen to serve.

"I'll do it!" Alek stood up from her chair but, she was held back by her cousins.

"No, you don't!" Iris replied from the kitchen while Rin was holding her wrist. He knew his sister would do it herself since he had asked the same thing.

"Okay..." Alek sat back down as Jin came into the room.

"Hey! This place smells like food." He sniffed the air while he sat down next to his brother. He then snatched the spoon and ate what Rin was having. He smiled devilishly when he saw his brother was not pleased with his actions. Actually, he does this occasionally and, Rin doesn't even care to be angry at him anymore. Rin had embraced this as one of his brother's characteristics. "This is great." Jin had a bite of lasagne and was stunned by the taste.

"Thank you." Iris came back to the room with Alek's plate full of food. "Here." She handed the plates carefully to her.

"Thank you." Alek smiled and dug in. When she had her first bite, her previous words about her being not hungry just evaporated. Her stomach growled and begged for more of the amazing food to come in. "This is a piece of a work, Iris!"

"Thank you." Iris smiled.

"You made this?" Jin asked.

"Yep." Iris smiled.

"This amazing, Iris. I don't know why you don't make this at home." Jin knew that his sister was talented in baking and cooking but, he never knew this much. She was better than him or Pollux.

"Dad's allergic to milk, remember. He can't eat them if he wanted to and that's why I've never made this." Iris told her brother and, he nodded to her words. He has forgotten about that fact. His father loved cheese before his allergy developed. Now he watched them eat pizza and other milk-made food with desire and hunger.

"Then why did you make it today?" Alek asked.

"Because dad said he had taken the medicine and wanted to try my cooking. He knew I had been wanting to make this and, this was a perfect opportunity to make one." Iris shrugged her shoulders before she went back into the kitchen to serve for her brother and bring more to the other brother.

The youngest of the family actually came back with the whole pan of lasagne she made. "Here." She placed it in front of the three and sat in front of them.

"Thank you..." Alek spoke.

"How many did you make of these?" Rin asked. He saw that more than what he ate was still there, and his food mustn't be from this pan.

"Ten." Iris answered casually. She hadn't eaten because she was busy cooking this, and also, she was waiting on her brothers so, she started serving for herself. "Four is left in the fridge so you can finish this one."

She then gave a plate for her brother and started eating. She was satisfied with the result.

"How long did it take?" Castor asked Iris, who was munching. She put three fingers up since she couldn't talk.

"Three hours?!" Alek blinked a couple of times. She couldn't imagine cooking for three hours straight. Her focus was going to be directed towards Torak Donovan if she did that.

Iris nodded and took another bite. She couldn't stop herself from eating and leaving her mouth empty in this drooling food.

"Wow, Iris. Thank you for making this." Rin caressed his sister's head softly and served some more since Jin had finished the half of lasagne he was served.

"Your welcome." Iris swallowed the food she had in her mouth and replied.
