Alek and Kai were the ones to run to where they have kept their lunch. They were childish when it came to food. The parents and the thirdborn followed the two slowly. When the three of them reached where the two were, they found them doing weird poses towards one another. They constantly changed their poses and stared at each other.
"What are you doing?" Bia asked her weird siblings.
"Staring contest." Alek told her without breaking eye contact with Kai.
"Why would you need to pose for a staring contest?" Bia asked, being confused.
"Because it is what it is." Kai answered, confusing Bia more.
"Whatever." Bia put her hands up in defeat and sat in between them. They stared at each other before they both sat down quietly.
They brought out clean water and clean their hands, one by one. After that, Bia brought out a wicker basket lunch box from behind her and ate the food they made peacefully. The food was neither salty nor bland, making it perfect for the occasion.
After eating, Alek was full, so she decided to rest while others went to enjoy their time. She was also sleepy from fullness and, the sound of the waves made her brain from thinking fake scenarios in her head.
When her mind was at peace, she heard footsteps coming towards her. She thought it was one of her family members, but soon, their perfume travelled to Alek, making her became alert. She slowly opened her eyes, and surprisingly, she found two men around in their early twenties standing close to her with sunglasses on their eyes. One of them saw that she was not asleep and started talking.
"Hi there," He gave her what it looked like a flirty smile. "Are you alone?"
Little did they know, their smile didn't affect Alek at all. She was still a bit daydream. She sat up without moving her facial muscles.
The two men saw a beautifull girl resting near the beach peacefully and they wanted to have a great time together. When they thought a great time, they mean 'great time'.
'How dare you interrupt my peaceful time.' She finally fully woke up from her day dream. Alek was mad inside but, she didn't show it on her face because she didn't want to waste energy moving her facial muscles, so she kept staring at them blankly.
The two men thought that the girl was into them so, they quickly continued talking since she didn't reject them. "We were wondering if you would like to spend time with us? It would be fun?"
As soon as he said that, Alek vomited inside her brain. That was disgusting. Still, she didn't even twitch the muscles on her face.
They started getting annoyed by the way Alek acted and tried to move closer when the girl did something they did not expect.
Alek finally looked at them with a blank expression and sent chills down their spine.
She had read about this bad-ass female lead book, where the girl learns to sent chills down to her bullies and Alek absolutely loved it. It was a perfect way to send someone away when you don't want to use the physical way.
Alek didn't like hurting people and since she read that book, she had looked upon the internet, 'how to send chills down on someone' and she had been practicing ever since.
What they saw was not something that they wanted to believe. Suddenly the girl emitted a cold aura around her and they saw her eyes shifting colours. From her dark brown eyes to golden yellow. They had never seen someone changing their eye colour like how Alek did.
Alek spoke to the men frozen on the sand coldly. "Leave."
Actually, her voice sounded so low to her ears that it made her question, where did that sound come from? She had planned to say it with a low voice but not that low! She was surprised by this but she didn't show it on her face.
When the men were still rooted to the ground, she squinted her eyes dangerously and tilted her head slightly. This action brought them out of whatever trance they were in they hastily jogged away from Alek, one of them even fell on the sand, face first.
Alek didn't know her eyes had changed colours and she thought her method worked, seeing the men getting away from her for life. She had done the same thing as the girl in the book and it worked. Alek hugged herself and jumped up and down in her mind when the men were finally out of her sight.
When she took a deep breath and relaxed, her eyes turned back to her original colours slowly, but of course, Alek didn't know about it.
"I did it. I did it. Ayy!" She was dancing slightly when Bia came jogging towards her.
"Who was that?" The first thing Bia did when she reached under the tree was to ask her sister who were the men that were with her moment ago. Bia had seen the two men talking to her sister from far and she wanted to run to them but, Kai held her wrist before she walked out of the water. As if to say 'Watch'.
Bia watched her sister sitting up. Bia could not see their expression or read lips because she was too far. She was getting impatient and, her self-control busted the moment one of them tried to move closer to her dear sister. But before she moved, Kai held her wrist tightly, not letting her go.
Bia knew Kai was seeing what she was seeing but, he did not let her go. Bia removed Kai's hand from her wrist and turned around to run to Alek but, she saw the men walking away from her sister hastily.
She even saw one of them getting tripped and fall on the sand. Bia had remembered that there was nothing there but sand and she wondered. How did he fall? Did Alek throw something on the ground and that's how he tripped? Wait, did they do something to Alek?!
Bia was too far to see that Alek's eyes had changed colours and that was the cause of them to run away.
Bia quickly rushed to Alek, splashing water everywhere. As she got closer, she saw her sister not injured but dancing slightly.
'What the hell!' She thought as she saw her sister dancing weirdly.
Alek answered her question with a smile. "It was some random guys but I managed to send them away with my gaze." She even winked at Bia when she talked.
"How?" Bia asked her sister without needing to catch her breath. She was used to running and this short distance was nothing to her.
"What do you mean? I just told you that I sent them away with my sending-chills-down-your-spine eyes." Alek shrugged her shoulders and went back to her position before the two men approached her and closed her eyes.
"I never knew you knew how to do that." Bia muttered in surprise.
"Book taught me." She spoke without opening her eyes. "You should read it, the girl somehow reminds me of you apart from the fact that you are not a type that gets bullied."
"I will check it out." Bia spoke.
"Really?!" Alek opened her eyes in shock. Every time she recommended a book or talk about books, Bia would just nod absent-mindedly response or shrug it off. But now she actually said she will check it out?! The world had changed a lot.
"Yeah. I'm a book person if you forgot." Bia read online as it was easy to carry around, and the tablet allowed her to store many books. But she and Alek had different tastes in books and their conversation about books was off-limit.
Robin and Panacea allowed the kids to use money freely when comes to books as they were also bookworms. They weren't allowed to buy comics and the children needed to show which book they wanted to buy before purchasing it.
"Oh yeah," Alek had forgotten about it. "Well, I'll give the book to you once we reach home."
"I guess I'll go back now." Bia spoke after seeing her sister doing all right.
"I'll join you in an hour or something." Alek yawned as she said that.
Bia only nodded towards her sister and walked out of the shade that tree had created. On her way back, she found the two men who approached her sister and this made her lips curve up in a devilish smirk.
"Hey." She approached the two of them, walking like a model. The two of them gaped at the sight of Bia. The big fish was coming. The girl looked younger than the ones they met but this girl right here was more seductive.
They hey-ed back at Bia, checking out her body.
"I was wondering if you guys would like to join me for a swim." Bia stood in front of them and looked them from down. The men did not hesitate to let the chance slip. They immediately agreed and followed Bia to the shore, not seeing the evil smile on the girl's face.
They were concentrated on Bia that they did not realize where she was taking them. They were walking towards the shore, but when they looked around, they found themselves in a nearby building where no one usually came.
The building used to serve as a beach cafe but it was now it was vacant as the business didn't go well.
Bia closed the door behind her and walked towards one of them touched him softly on his chest. He felt the blood rush but before he could touch her back, Bia quickly pinned him on the wall behind him, holding his neck.
They did not see this coming as Bia was too fast.
"Don't come near her." She spoke with a threatening voice that made bones in his turn into jelly. They all knew who she was talking about. The girl who they had hit earlier.
Also, the one Bia wasn't pinning, thought that he was going to pee in his pants, seeing how Bia looked. She looked like a goddess of Death.
Bia flashed her dark olive green, snake eyes before letting go of the man's neck before he dies from choking. The man fell on his knees, scared to even stand up now. He half crawled to the door. The other one looked like he was in a trance and even forgot to carry his friend.
Bia stared at them until they left the abandoned house and took a deep breath. She was sure that they would not speak a word about what they just saw as no one would believe them and say that they were just seeing things.
Bia walked out with a smile on her face before walking out of the house. She didn't see them anywhere and, she confidently walked down to where Kai was.
