Dale stood up and walked over to the place the snake was hiding.
He squinted as he walked closer, trying to focus on the snake's location.

He ignored all the notifications as he pushed through the crowd.
Mrs. Lopez noticed Dale as he acted, and was quite surprised to see him do so.
Even Jacob noticed him and gave him a stare that pretty much meant 'Scram'.
Seeing the indifferent expression on Dale's face, he was infuriated, to think that he was ignored by a 'humanoid observatory'*.
He was about to lose his mind and go for the hit when he noticed Dale kneeling, looking for the snake.
Mrs. Lopez took out her phone, and was about to contact some assistance in case the snake was venomous.
However, she noticed Dale looking at her direction, and was waving his hand lightly as if to tell her to let go of the phone.
She was hesitant at first but listened to him, observing the situation.
Going back to Dale, he activated his skill, «Poker Face» and looked at the snakes location.
Then another notification appeared.

'It's quite convenient' Dale thought to himself with a light smile.
Dale reached out his hand towards the hole, and waited.
The whole class was silent, even Jade and Jacob were just observing quietly.
Mrs. Lopez thought that Dale went insane but trusted him, knowing that he isn't a reckless person.
Finally after a short moment, the black head of the snake came out.
It flicked its tongue on Dale's hand, and hesitantly slithered onto his hand, then wrapped around it.

Dale smiled once more, but this time it was an adoring smile, because the moment he successfully tamed the snake, it seemed to him like a new family member.
He doesn't have any family members so although it was a good feeling, it was also weird to feel familiarity towards a snake, in the opinion of the whole class at least.
They all watched the whole thing happening before their eyes, live.
The boys who tried to kill it, were all snorting, as if thinking that Dale was trying to show off to the girls.
The girls who were once disgusted and scared of the snake were just adoring it now.
Mrs. Lopez was dumbfounded with a dropped jaw.
Jacob wanted to kill the snake right here and then.
Jade was.. well.. one of the girls, but she tried to play cool.
There was a moment of silence before Mrs. Lopez spoke up.
"A-Ahem.. as you can see.. the case has been solved.. everyone to your seats and Dale, go release the snake please..." she said after calming herself down.
Dale was about to say something but then one of the girls spoke up.
"M-Mrs. Lopez, can't we keep it as a classroom pet? the rest of the classrooms already got their own pets, besides isn't it just adorable?" she said.
Dale was dumbfounded but thought of the situation as a positive one.
"Yeah, right, class 1 already has a gecko, class 2 has a tarantula, and class 4 has 2 budgies!" another girl stated.
Soon more than half the class, of which were girls stated their own reason as to why they should keep the snake.
"H-Hold on a second, how do we know if the snake isn't venomous…?" Jade said.
Then Jacob joined her.
"She's right, we can't keep an unknown kind of snake when it could be venomous" He said.
"It's harmless" Dale said while rubbing on the snake's head lightly with his finger.
The small snake hissed in response.
The girls who saw it were all thinking that the snake is purring, and adored it.
Jade was just staring at the snake with eyes full of greed, as if she'll give millions for it.
On the other hand Jacob was making an expression that you'd only make when the most hateful person in the world says the most hateful thing in the world.
With a clap, the whole class woke up from the occurrence and all turned their head to Mrs. Lopez.
"A-Alright, then it's settled, the snake will be our classroom pet" Mrs. Lopez finally said after calming down.
"But we need to first send it to a vet and make sure it isn't diagnosed with a disease or something" She said after a small breath break.
"I'll do it" Dale raised his other arm, as one of them is holding a living being.
"Then you're excused for the next hour" Mrs Lopez said.
