Chapter 11 - Royal Intelligence

The day went by so fast.

After the afternoon self-learning session ended, Allynna had nowhere else to go and nothing else to do but go home immediately.

Allynna had many plans for the evening. She would try to cook her dinner using the ingredients that Leon had sent her.

She also planned to prepare the items she would carry to the capital. And tonight, she was determined to finish reading the history books.

When Lizzy asked to stop by for dinner at her house, she refused. She had a lot of raw food to cook.

Tonight, she decided to make a steak because the meat Leon sent was so tempting.

She immediately put her bag on the couch in the living room, then turned on the TV and chose the drama that was currently airing. She deliberately turned up the TV sound so that her house would not be too quiet.

Hearing the voices of people talking, even though it was just from a TV speaker, made her feel happy. She felt like she was in a crowded place, not her empty house.

With a hum, she washed her hands before processing the meat. She skillfully marinated two pieces of rib-eye using her mother's secret recipe. She still remembered clearly in her mind the ingredients and the step-by-step process.

Allynna felt lucky that her mother always allowed her to sit on the kitchen island to watch her prepare the ingredients and cook. Sometimes, her mother asked her to assist with cooking. She would then prepare the ingredients, and her mother would cook them.

...

After marinating the rib, Allynna put it back in the refrigerator for an hour. She also made a salad from fresh vegetables.

When everything was prepared, she cleaned herself first before cooking and eating dinner.

She climbed to the second floor and saw her parents' bedroom and her father's study room on the other side of her room.

As she saw their bedroom, her mind was filled with their images, and a slight feeling of sadness lingered in her heart.

Allynna could only sigh deeply, entered her bedroom, and placed her school bag on the desk.

Then, she walked straight to the bathroom. She didn't spend long in the bathroom. A few minutes later, she came out looking much fresher.

However, just before she could relax, she suddenly remembered the 'Royal Intelligence' that Helan had mentioned several times that noon.

She was curious because Helan had suggested she choose Technology more than once.

To register for Royal Intelligence, she now sat facing her desktop computer and typed 'Royal Intelligence' into the Bells Search Engine.

In an instant, several links appeared on her monitor screen. She clicked the top link and read it carefully. But the web can't be accessed.

Allynna hacked that web, curious to know what information she could read there. In just a few minutes, she successfully entered the web. What she read suprised her.

Royal Intelligence is a royal agency that handles all intelligence and technology matters within the Empire and Mortal World.

Allynna frowned.

"Mortal world!?"

She became even more curious, knowing that people who work in Royal Intelligence can leave the Empire realm to research the mortal world.

What does it mean? Are there any other empires outside of Bellsor?

"Gosh! I regret that I was never interested in studying history. There are lots of interesting things there. Now I'm blind to all of that." Allynna couldn't help but scold herself while continuing to read.

After a few minutes of reading the information on the page, she became more interested in Royal Intelligence and, of course, the history of Bellsor.

It was true what Helan said.

Royal Intelligence suited her very well. As the math champion in the Empire, she has much potential to be accepted into Royal Intelligence. As an added plus, she also has a talent for Technology.

Even though they only learned the basics of tech in high school, she was already very interested in Technology, as if a calling from her soul made her like that subject.

"Do I have to major in Technology? How about the dream of becoming a doctor?" Once again, she asked herself.

Her late mother inspired her intention to become a doctor. She also wanted to help children in the orphanage if they felt sick.

But she had to give up her intention to become a doctor because she had no royal blood.

While she was still lost in her thoughts, her cell phone suddenly rang.

She immediately looked at the cell phone and saw Lizzy's name appear on the screen.

"Liz, why are you calling me at this hour?"

"Ally, open your door. My mother asked me to deliver a cake for you—"

"Wait a minute, I'll put on some clothes first." Allynna immediately donned her casual oversized t-shirt and went downstairs to open the door for Lizzy.

"Ally, what are you doing? Why are you just wearing your T-shirt? Where are your pants?" Lizzy stared at Allynna suspiciously.

Allynna flicked her forehead before saying, "Put your dirty thoughts away, Lady Elizabeth Pearcy!"

"Ouch! It hurts, you know—" Lizzy cried out while rubbing her forehead. "Ally, have you eaten?"

"I'm just about to cook. You came at the right time, my friend. Come in. I will cook a delicious Rib rib-eye steak for you." Allynna's smile gave way to Lizzy before saying, "I made the steak with my mom's secret recipe. You know how good my mother's steak is, right?"

"A-Are you sure you can make a steak? You won't kill me with your cooking, will you, Ally?"

"Hahaha, you're so funny. Please don't underestimate me, Liz. Come on in. I'll be grilling the meat right away. Soon, you'll taste how meat is supposed to be grilled."

"Since when can you cook?" Lizzy asked while placing the cake on the kitchen island, then sat looking at her best friend wearing a pink apron with a floral motif.

"I'm not like you, Liz. My mother has trained me since childhood to be able to cook. Well, I've been my mother's little sous chef all this time..."

Allynna knew Lizzy was pampered by her parents and maybe had never entered the kitchen, let alone cooked any meals.
