"Lady Allynna, I'm pretty sure your mother would scold you too if you suddenly got engaged to a stranger without them knowing." Lizzy paused before continuing her words, "Well, maybe after your mom scolds you, she'll forgive you right away because that stranger is so damn hot and handsome!" She giggled.
Allynna, "..."
"I'm just joking around with you, Lizz. He is not my finance, but he is my relative." Allynna lied. She didn't know how long she would stay by his side.
Besides, Allynna was too tired of dealing with Lizzy, who was like a cop interrogating her about Leon. She is just trying to play safe by saying Leon is her family.
"Gosh, Allynna!! You really have talent as a movie star. You sounded very serious earlier, and I was sold to believe you..." Lizzy laughed. It was hard for her to believe that Allynna, who had never left the island, suddenly had a fiancé.
Allynna could only hold her laughter, hearing Lizzy's reaction.
"So Ally, can I know that HOT guy's name? Does he have a girlfriend? Can you introduce me to him?" Lizzy was excited when she learned that such a perfect man was Ally's family. She had a chance to get close to him and tried to hit the guy to be her boyfriend.
Lizzy smiles widely, imagining the man to be her boyfriend.
Allynna, "..."
She had hoped to be free from Lizzy, but Lizzy was becoming increasingly curious about Leon. Now, she remembers her mother's lessons, "Never lied to anyone."
Allynna feeling regretted lying to Lizzy.
"I'm sorry, he's so weird and doesn't seem to like women. That's why I rarely had a conversation with him." Ally said. "Ugh, sorry, Lizzy, I have to go now... I need to practice my math," She makes an excuse to end the phone call.
Talking to Lizzy for too long made her head feel like it would explode.
Allynna was upset with herself for lying to her best friend. But she has no choice. She doesn't want to tell her close friends about her relationship with Leon. Well, at least not now.
As soon as she finished talking to Lizzy, Allynna heard a knock on the door. Not long after, she saw Lella come into the room and remind her to come downstairs for lunch.
Allynna immediately went to the dining room. But she did not see Leon sitting where he used to sit.
For some unknown reason, Allynna felt sad not to see him. She turned to Lella, who was standing not far from behind her.
"Lella, where is Sir Leon?"
"Mr. Leon has business outside, so he can't have lunch with you."
Allynna could only nod slightly. She sat in her chair and started eating her lunch.
Today's lunch is seafood. After seeing the food on the table, Allynna immediately forgot about Lizzy's matter. She started eating her lunch while her mind imagined the chef cooking skillfully and guessing all the spices used.
After two days without entering the kitchen, Allynna wanted to enter the kitchen in this mansion and see the chefs preparing their food.
"Lella, can you bring me to the kitchen?"
Lella immediately refused firmly. The kitchen was only for those servants and staff on duty, and this house had an unwritten rule: Lady Allynna was forbidden from entering the kitchen.
"Who made such a rule?" Allynna was confused when she heard that.
Lella didn't answer right away. She lowered her head to avoid Allynna's sharp gaze.
"Lella, can you tell me? You don't have to be afraid. I won't tell anyone that you told me," Allynna said softly as if she was trying to persuade a little girl.
Lella finally spilled the name to her.
Allynna couldn't help but chuckle when she heard Geoffrey forbid her from entering the kitchen. She knew it wasn't Geoffrey who was really forbidding her. The order must have come from Leon. Geoffrey himself would not have dared to do that.
She was confused as to why Leon forbade her from entering the kitchen. Didn't he actually send her groceries a few weeks ago, as if asking her to cook them herself?
But why is he banning her from the kitchen now?
Allynna was puzzled. She had so many questions that she wanted to ask Leon. However, she has to wait until he returns.
...
When lunchtime was finally over, Allynna walked out the door towards the beach. The sun is shining brightly, but the wind that blows feels chilly. The white sand that feels smooth when stepped on makes her want to walk barefoot.
"Lady Allynna, the sun is so hot you will burn your skin if you don't wear a hat," Lella, who followed behind her, started to panic when she saw Allynna walking towards the beach. And when she saw her take off her shoes, she was even more shocked. She tried to convince her to wear a hat and beach sandals, but Lady Allynna ignored her.
After thinking, Lella ran into the mansion to find a beach hat and sandals for Lady Allynna.
Meanwhile, Allynna is enjoying the beach alone.
There was no one else on the beach. As her feet stepped on the seawater, she felt them cold. She started picking up some pretty sea shells.
Not long after, she saw Lella running towards her, holding a beach hat and beach sandals.
"Lella, you don't need to worry. I'm used to playing on the beach. I'm not afraid of the sun or the hot sand. My skin will never change even if I'm exposed to the sun for a long time," Allynna explained to Lella, trying to calm her.
Allynna is fully aware that she has unique — free-of-maintenance skin. Since childhood, her skin has never changed. She always looks pearly bright, no matter how long she busks in the sun. Her cheeks often blush, but the color will return to normal again.
"My Lady…" Lella handed her a hat and sandals, ignoring her reason. She can't bear it if something happens to her skin; his Highness will scold her.
Allynna felt sorry for Lella, who was still panting after running from the mansion to the beach. She didn't say anything else besides accepting the hat and sandals from Lella.
