Bullet 9

..

..

Emina stayed up for a whole night rereading the documents that were brought by Thomas, until the sun broke into her room with a flash of annoying rays. She turned off her laptop and searched for her team in the building for a conversation about some matters. She found them all gathered in the cafeteria and preparing for a breakfast.

Emina passed towards them and saluted them with her depressed voice.

"Morning, weirdo.." chuckled Flora "How was the night with Captain Christen? Juicy? Wet?"

"Yes, just like your face." Replied Emina in a cold way "We only needed you as a toy!"

"Emina, you little brat! I will warn…"

"Calm down, both of you!" yelled Joseph "Please no fights. Good morning, senior. Why do you look so pale and yellowish?"

"Yes.. I do not really know.."

"Did you work all night?"

"Yes.."

"Leader! That is bad for your health!" yelled Mehmet "You will only hurt your body and this will lead to many obstacles to solving the case, so please take care of yourself."

"I am alright.."

"Good morning, miss." Called agent Johan "Can you please share us what you found out?"

"I was going to do so."

Emina chatted about the old odd cases that happened long ago, and how the number varied from time to time, until it reached out a one thousand case in St. Louis. She discussed about the southwest of the city, where all of the cases occurred after each other, and then suggested that these old ones were related to the new one with the same gang of criminals that aim at no specific one.

"Ahahahahaha!!" laughed Flora "Oh my god, Emina! You start to act clumsier from time to time! You mean that all of these cases from the past are actually related to the present ones?! And how so?!! Let us discuss them one by one. The high school girl who was going out with her friends probably was kidnapped by someone on her way at night, that one is a criminal in 2020,a very old one, which means that his crime is now forgave, so we do not have to search for his traces. Second, a mother sent her daughter to a mart at night, so maybe she just lost her way and fell into a sewage or a stream. Third, the two girls might have not even gone out of the granny's house but rather stayed in and were locked inside. Fourth, about the family, maybe they just traveled, I mean none of their family were getting into contact with them. Fifth, the teacher was killed by the student, and since the student was rich, then he might have sent people to bury him somewhere far away. Sixth, the bride had just ran away because she wants to run away, escaping her hellish wedding. Seventh, the old man must have committed a suicide for being indebted and deeply sad, and his body disappeared. Emina, we are detectives not novelist, we have to find solutions for every problem not create new scenarios."

"What proof do you have, Flora?" quizzed Emina "What proof do you have for saying these illogical results?"

"These cases are 20 years old how would I have a proof for my theories? Also, what proofs do you have for saying that all of those cases are connected?"

"…."

"What is it, leader? Why did you silence all of sudden?"

"Flora, I am sorry this time," joined Joseph "but your interpretation are a bit of out of logic. I always support you, but this time what do you mean by kid fell in the sewage? I mean they are closed well and if she really fell, the staff would have found her. Second, how could a granny lock two adults?!! They could kill her if they want. Also, people saw them get out of her resident. Lastly, yes, the others might be logical and reasonable, but they need accurate proof! So, if we searched well we might unveil the truth soon. So, what do you think, leader??"

"I would like to contact a victim's grandfather at first," replied Emina "then I would like to visit all of the crime scenes from the most important to the least. I will start with the mart and view some old recorded videos, that happened on 1 May 2020, twenty years ago, especially on the day of her disappearance. Next, I would like to check all of the recordings in all of the southeast of Saint Louis, to find out more about the two girls. Then, I want you to find out all of the class of the teacher who disappeared and especially the guy he got in fight with, then we will search for his body in far places, just as colleague Flora suggested. Also, I will investigate with the indebted guy's ex wife and ask her about her husband's behavior for the last period. Lastly, I want to visit the granny. Searching in the family's case and the bride's disappearance would be meaningless, since the cases lack enough clues."

"And why so?" tested Flora

"Idiot," commented Mehmet "you only like to disagree with leader's words, because obviously the family's case is so old, so the house must surely have new family living in, and the bride's family must be ashamed to talk about that subject, right miss?"

"Yes, kind of." Replied Emina "The bride's family are actually dead. The groom shot the father and killed him upon knowing that the bride was not in the wedding, so the mother had a heart attack and died. The groom was sentenced to death, but his family paid a large amount of money to free him, so he traveled out of the country. So, there would be no way to contact them."

Clap.. Clap.. Clap.. Clap.. Clap..

"That is a genius way of thinking.." commented Thomas, as he barged in with a gloomy look on his face, and a ray of dangerous eyes scratching his beauty, most likely because he was angry with her but had to work with her anyway.

Emina felt kind of regretful for hurting him, but then remembered that he hid the cases from her and how he used to hurt her before.

Clap.. Clap.. Clap.. Clap.. Clap..

"So, when will get started to work for the search?" he asked "My whole agency will help you with that load of work, so no need to check every site, just wait for their replies."

"Thank you, captain Christen." Mocked Emina "But I will check the site by myself and see every detail of the crime scene. I need to be accurate with that matter, so I can not accept anyone to go other than me."

"Then, let me go with you."

"You have the responsibility of Houston's agency, so you can not afford to leave the pkace without a leader."

"I am also responsible for this case too, as well as we have to help each other as neighboring agencies. So, when will we start?"
