Bullet 6
..
..
22 September 2041, Houston.. At 8:42 pm in room 405 in the agency, Emina locked the door and windows, closed the curtains and called for the female victim's grandfather. She set up her headset, laptop and microphone as she was waiting for him to respond to her video call.
10 minutes later, the old man did not show any response to her numerous calls, as of he had disappeared too, yet she insisted on calling him even more until he shows any answering.
30 minutes later, he did not answer any of those calls even though she called from the FBI number which means that he might have understood that that was an important call.
1 hour later, she gave up on talking to him at that night since it had already been 10:22 pm and he did not reply at all. His number was out of service just as the other victims, most likely he had been to a far country that had a lot of forests, or maybe.. She had a storm of puzzles and doubts in her head, she started to think that the grandfather had also been hurt or abused, so she tried to give him another call to be sure that he was not harmed as the other disappeared, however, he did not respond at all and his telephone remained out of server and unable to be contacted..
She took a deep breath and sighed twice, she wanted to realize the truth as quick as possible before the criminal would notice their actions and runaway just before they unveil his identity. So, she started to record her notes on her little notebook to judge them in the end and link occasions to each other..
• "The incidents started in 2021 when the number of cases started to be one per month in 2021 so in total there was twelve disappearance cases in St. Louis in one year," she wrote "however, it was considered normal as St. Louis was known for its crimes, kidnapping, abducting and stealing, that's true because policemen always catch kidnapers, burglars and killers… In addition to having the neighboring cities with more crime numbers."
• "Point two, the number increased slowly for seven years to reach 347 cases which started to worry the police, then the number increased suddenly to become 70 cases in one year and then one thousand disappearance cases in St. Louis in the other thirteen years.."
• "Three, the police still considered it as a normal phenomenon since they interpreted them with many idiot reasoning such as my teammates had suggested."
• "Four, they searched for the bodies and the victims but found nothing about them so they considered them normal disappearances and closed the cases… I guess these policemen are idiots and irresponsible.."
• "On 3 June 2041, a young woman reported the disappearance of her husband in Houston's police station and insisted on meeting the selfish man, she was pretty sure that her man would not disappear so she insisted on the selfish man to take that case. So, he realized that all of the cases were related and located at St. Louis but he did not tell us.. Cool.."
• "The cases happened all in St. Louis but were reported in their cities in America, so that confused the detectives.."
• "Many victims were of other cities in America and some were tourists from Canada, Brazil, Arabic countries, Africa and Europe"
• "Some of them disappeared individually, others in couple and some in a whole group."
• "Their whereabouts were still unknown and their bodies were yet not found."
• "We have six reports now, a young man who lost his job and his fiancé broke off him with him, high-school girl who slept with her guy and got into a fight with her family after refusing his proposal, a little child of a divorced parents, a male adult with a traveling appointment, an immigrant living alone without a family on his own and finally a man with arrogant family who refused cooperation!"
"For now, I only understand that the criminal for all of these cases is the same one," she murmured "it surely must be living in St. Louis but I do not know where or how it looks. The criminal is not aiming at specific people but rather killing randomly, but what is its goals? Trafficking? Or it only enjoys killing people? Is it even only one? Or are they a group? Probably they are a group since the number is enormous for one criminal to hold.. Are they American? When did they start their crimes? Could it be even before 2021? Arghhh!! I know nothing!"
Emina drowned in an ocean of poisonous thoughts that could blur her mind from thinking logically, she was paralyzed with confusion that she could go crazy, her heart started to beat hastily that she felt her breast was burning hot, her hands trembled like a phone going on crazy vibration, her head felt light and dizzy when it ached like a melting iron falling on it and her blood boiled in her capillaries as if her adrenaline raised up in her body to boil her blood. It was the first time to feel this anxious..
"Why didn't anyone tell me about this dilemma?!" a question popped up in her head
"Why didn't we solve this series of killing before?"
"No one would have died if the policemen told me.."
"No one would have died if the selfish guy told me.."
"No one would have died if the other agents told me.."
"I could not have known by myself.."
"Who are the killers?"
"Where are they?"
"How many of them are there?"
"What is their motive?"
"Why did they kill?"
"Where is their headquarters?"
"Why can't I realize anything!??"
Her mind went crazy like a tornado destroying all objects into each other, her thoughts merged up together without thinking wisely or logically, they only spun and crashed swiftly in her mind like a blender mixing fruits together where a person can not recognize a strawberry from a banana. She was in an inner fight with herself without reaching a logical interpretation for the incidents around her..
