As the husband gobbled the white blob down and marveled at it's taste as Lewin stared in disbelief at the sigh.
"How did he get so strong?" Lewin placed a hand on his chin and raised one of his brows.
"Let me check!" Lewin closed his eyes and started to process the information he found about the husband.
After reaching the outer world, the husband was met with many hardships, from right and left monsters flooded onto his life, and he had to adapt to intenselly fighting them day and night non stop.
But although the husband was on a tense moment, he didn't forgot his objective, and for every beast he defeated, he would stop to feast on it's carcass, and eventually, his organ started growing again. But maybe because it was developing with nutrients from monsters not his own, the organ started to become less and less phisical, and became something like a invisible muscle.
On his first centry of adventures, the man was able to stabilish a proper training schedule for his "Mystical Muscle", how he named the organ, but even with the training method, he didn't stop with his monster slaughter.
On his second centry, the husband finally left the first conitnent of the Outer World, officially entering a completelly diferent area, where no human had ever set feet into.
When Lewin reached this part, he froze for a moment, and even stoped the information flow on his head.
Lewin's mouth distorted as he cursed Britania on his mind.
The reason for that was simple: On these new continents, there were TONS of creatures with Pseudo-Superior Genes.
Something is considered a Superior Gene when a creature is capable of seemingly impossible feats, but which if looked at closely, has some explanation. A Pseudo-Superior Gene, is when a creature is able to do an impossible feat, but with the reasons for that feat obvious, or extremely easy to notice. Pseudo-Superior Genes are weaker than Superior Genes, but are undeniably strong.
And there were TONS of beasts with Pseudo-Superior Genes on that new continent!
Lewin massaged his temples, trying to relief some of his anger not to anihilate Britania and end with this clowning.
The husband was surprised when he meet this new and dangerous enviroment, but like how he did in the continent before, he quilkly adapted and climbed the food chain of the place, becoming the "Apex Predator" over there in less than a decade.
And he passed the next centry exploring that continent. What brings us to the present time.
Lewin was very surprised by just how strong the husband had became after leaving the Human Continents, and at how much he had lived. It actually was the most surprising thing about it, he had lived for more than 300 years relying completelly in his Superior Gene, sure he had consumed other DNA's, but the main reason was the Superior Gene, so the creatures he consumed counted as extras.
Lewin was really impressed, he even wanted to meet the husband personally and congratulate him for his achivements! Maybe even entitle him like he did with Laila...?
Lewin shook his head.
"This is getting to my head! I am no deity, i have to remember that, if this get's to my head i may stray from my main objective! I must find a way to revive Vin no matter what!!" He opened his eyes, full of determination.
"But now, what should i do?" He leaned forward. "This sure is an interesting power... But although i can copy it, i can't multiplicate it..." Lewin pondered. util, he got an idea. "Well, this is kind of bad... For him. But i guess the only way to multiplicate his gene is rip it from him, and make it reproduce somewhere else." He said. "let's think of it as making a farm on a game! Yes, a farm a farm!" Lewin repeated in his head, not to feel guilt for possibly killing a human on his Globe.
He was just about to start launching attacks at the Husband, when suddenly he stopped. "Wait, is it really fine to use Soul Essence for that?" He though. "I am not really that proficient in using Soul Essence, if i attack him using it, that continent will most likelly die..." he muttered. "And also, the husband seems to have much potential, i kill him now i may recover a good amount of Soul Essence, but if i let him live, he may raise the worth of his Soul, and provide me with even more Soul Essence".
"I could also take over his body, but if i did i would encounter the same problem..."
"Well, but it isn't like Soul Essence is my only mean of attack" Lewin gave a light smile. "I will take this as an opportunity." He said moving the Soul Essence on his body.
Lewin closed his eyes as the Soul Essence started travelling through his vains, making them run at insane speeds inside his body, making his limbs spasm, his face distort, and his muscles twitch
Lewin suddenly opened his eyes as he felt a pain appearing close to his hearth.
Inside his body, Lewin's nutrients started to get drained like crazy, the oxygen on his body got very low, and the vitamins on his skin, bones and muscles started to get retributed.
Close to his hearth, many vains started to appear from nothing, connecting to each other, and between that mess, a great mass of fleash appeared, and started to change colors, from a strong red color, it lightened, and it's surface hardened, becoming hard like a bone.
The result of it was a tiny orange organ, with a spherical shape.
Suddenly Lewin's eyes rolled back with pain, and slowly, his body started to come back to normal.
Lewin gasped for air, and used his Soul Essence again to replenish the nutrients on his body.
"Gaah... Hurt's worse than i though, luckly i held my voice and didn't scream... Someone would certainlly have called the police here if they heard me... Hahaha" Lewin laughed with a hand on his chest, still feeling the pain from a new organ appearing inside him.
"Let's test it" Lewin raised one of his arms and tried to use his new powers.
Inside Lewin's body, that orange organ started to worke, and throught it's structure many glowing orange vains appeared, making the organ pulsate a little.
Lewin stared at his palm, waiting, but suddenly, his early calm and composed expression changed in confusion and even outraged.
The organ that the husband had made generated it's own kind of energy, original from it, but just when Lewin started the Organ, instead of using it's own energy to create something, the organ started to manipulate Lewin's Soul Essence from inside.
As Lewin wanted, the organ started to work, and on his palm appeared a marble sized fire ball, which Lewin quikly destroyed by closing his palm.
"WHAT?!" Lewin complained. "Why is it using my Soul Essence?!" Lewin questioned taking a look at his Soul Essence reserves.
56%
Lewin was a bit surprised for a moment. "Wait... It... Didn't use my Soul Essence??" Lewin asked.
He was taken aback, and lost in words, util, he though about something.
"This organ works like a muscle on it's final stages, and has the ability to manipule the reality around it to create attacks or defenses... Could it be that it's ability to "Manipulate Reality" is actually using residual Soul Essence from the atmosphere?" Lewin though. "if it is it, then it makes sense how it didn't waste the Soul Essence from my reserves, because it just used residual Essence that was spread throught my body."
"But if it is like that, then..." Lewin raised one of his arms "Isn't this Superior Gene far more usable than Soul Essence?"
