Chapter 21 - Chapter 19 - A Superior Gene

After beheading Bosen, Tomas stayed there and stared at his body for a while before he finally turned away and walked towards Laila.

While Tomas finished off Bosen, Laila had already engaged in her final impact with Peihor, the woman was just able to give 2 punches at Laila before she was able to sneak behind her and turned her head backward in an instant, Peihor didn't even had the time to resist.

After taking care of one, Laila procceded to Tany. But, without her sister as a support for her attacks, the fight was completely onesided and Laila decided to play with her a little.

Laila hit many places of Tany's armor without damaging her body, and with enough time and punches, her armor started to squish her body, and Tany was dying by her own armor squishing her ribcage, slowing her hearth beat, and preventing her lungs to gatter enough air.

Her moviments became slow and sloppy, Laila dodged all her attacks by just taking a step or two, and like this, she naturally couldn't last long, and quikly died after giving a "Finishing Hit" at Laila.

She brought her hammer over her head, and when she brought it down again, she had completely ran out of energy, and passed out.

Laila also stood on top of her body staring at the dead girl.

Tomas walked to her while giggling. "And you complained about me?" He said mockingly.

Laila looked at him with emotionless eyes, and looking at those Tomas smile disappeared.

Laila walked towards Tomas and when she got to him she threw herself at him. She knew that soon enough they would be able to kill the Gatais and avenge her son, but the frustation of not being able to vent her anger at them at that moment made she want to cry, and logically, the only person she could count on to confort her was her husband.

Tomas was lost in what to do for a moment, but he ended up hugging Laila and kissed her on the forehead. "It's alright, don't worry, we're gonna make them pay." He said in a conforting way.

Laila couldn't hold her tears, she had lost her son, her sweet hearth, a part of her family, she had already acumulated enough rage on her body to make her blood boil, but when she failed to vent that anger, she became frustrated, and taking this opportunity, her saddness took over her mind.

"Axel... My son, why with him, why.... why.... what did he do... ?! Urh, Mnn!!" She cried

Tomas felt his wife's tears touch his shirt and her trembling body trying to grab at his arms but failing to gather strength to do so, just once in his life had he seen she look so weak before, on his son's funeral.

Tomas also loved his children, and logically, got sad when axel died, not a fration less sad than Laila, but, he got over it soon, but Laila, she was diferent, she mever had anyone to love of be loved by since little, the only people she could count on were her friends, so she haven't got ovet it yet, no, she wouldn't ever get over it.

Tomas hugged Laila tigher and kissed her on the forehead once again.

But while showing such loving and affectionate behavior with his wife, Tomas eyes were filled with rage, just now, these Gatai had played too with their luck. Now he wasn't goin to kill them anymore, no, he wasn't ever goin to let them die, he was going to torture them, make them WANT to die, without ever being able to. And their patriarch, he was goin to torture his wife, sons, and averyone he loved right before his eyes, and after they're wishing to die and broken inside, he was goin to torture them again. Now anything was on the table, no matter what, they were goin to suffer. FOREVER.

After Laila had recovered a bit from that, she and Tomas left the Throne room and encountered the soldierx they had told to clean the castle to find any trail of the Gatais. But, as expected, they didn't find anything.

Tomas was a caring husband, but also a prideful one, so he didn't want want their subordinates to see Laila in such a sensitive state, so after having the answer he wanted he ordered the soldiers to go find a carriage around the capital city. They were going home before the rest of the army.

The soldier though it was a bit strange for their so brave rulers to leave without their army, but they still obeyed without contesting it.

The soldiers got a bealtiful Royal carriage that was moved by a motor and found a coachman that knew how to ride it. And like that they went home.

....

Lewin sat at his chair for a moment and was frozen.

"Oh fuck that escalated real, real fast!!" He suddenly screamed.

He then placed a hand at his chin and started to think a bit. "Well, it's clear that with Britania's war potence, Killing the Gatai- no, even if they fought all nations of the continents they would still win." He muttered "But even if they won the fight, i think the consequences would be far worse than if they lost. Laila would be crowned the absolute ruler of the human continents, but even though strong, she is far too weak to deal with the monsters that evolved outside of the human continents and shes very naive in the game of thrones, Her reing will quikly fall." He said in low voice.

"Shit, it haven't been an hour since i interfered with the globe! And not only that, but i still have to help Laila if she meets danger while fighting those 4 contries?! Why am i so unlucky." Lewin massaged his temples in annoyance.

"I have to find a better and guaranteed way to keep danger away from them. But how?" Lewin wasn't a creative person, so he was at a lost. Soon the war against Xaixo Empire, Linsuy Empire, Gadoe kingdom and Ellobor Kingdom would start, so he didn't had much time, even if he slowed the globe's time flow, it would be useless because they would launch an attack at them in at most 5 days, so if he didn't come up with something now, he certainly wasn't goin to come up with something later.

Lewin was very stressed already, and after breaking his head trying to come up with something, he remembered that experiment Laila ordered the reseearchers of Britania to do some years earlier.

They tried to replicate the Soul Essence that Lewin had used to regenerate Laila back them.

After much effort and sacriface- mainly from the commoners of Britania- they were able to create an completely invisible liquid that shinned from time to time.

That liquid was something like what would happen if Lewin tried to turn Soul Essence into liquid, but maybe because it was turned into liquid by human hands and not by more Soul Essence, the liquid mutated, it became something like a Soul Essence but without any "Soul" in it.

The liquid wasn't being used for anything, so Lewin figured he could ar least take it for experimentation.

He checked his reserves of Soul Essence.

38%

This was enough. He used his Soul Essence and made the liquid that was sitting on a shelf in the the laboratory of Britania start floating and then dissapeared.

The liquid then appeared in Lewin's palm. The globe Lewin created was very little, roughly the size of a school globe, and the creatures in it were even tinier, they were, maybe, half the size of a cell in the normal world, so clearly, this transparent liquid at Lewin's palm, that wasn't even the size of a person, was completely invisible. But, Lewin still could see it with the help of Soul Essence.

Lewin analized the liquid for a little, and while analising it's properties, he started to clear some of his doubts about the globe, and how his powers affected it.

First of all, the liquid, although tinier than a mulecule of water, wasn't unicellular, instead, the liquid was composed of many much tinier cells that were created by his powers.

After that Lewin used his powers again and picked a random beast from the Globe, made it fly towards him and dropped the thing on his palm. He wanted to see how his creatures would react to normal sized cells.

But, when the beast touched his palm, his eyes went wide, at the moment of contact, the cells of the beast's body started to grow, and it balloned out.

Lewin was shocked by the qiokly growing body of the beast, but before it could get any bigger, Lewin manipulated his Soul Essence and obliterated the beast whole.

He looked at it in confusion, but quikly his mind started to work as the though about what had happened, and soon he sighed in relief, finding the most likely cause for that.

"Soul Essence, although it can be used up, it's effects never disappear, if you use it to make something happen, that thing wont ever stop happening. One exemple of that would be my caapacity to control the time flow on the globe, when i change the flow of time in there, i consume a bit of Soul Essence to do so, but the effect continues forever util i use even more Soul Essence to change it. Otherwise the time will continue goin on at that pace forever." He reasoned.

"And not only the time flow, gravity, light, darkness, the Soul Essence continued producing them and following every task i put on it without stop and without the need of aditional Soul Essence" He recalled.

"But, even like so, Soul Essence isn't enough to affect the real world in an effective way, so to do that i need to set an "Territory", and maybe that was the reason so much Soul Essence was consumed when i created the globe, it was setting a "Territory"" Lewin was shocked. Soul Essence wasn't omnipotent, and couldn't do "Absolutely Everything" on the world, but on the things it was able to do, it was extremely potent.

"Now i understand what happened with the beast. After leaving the area of effect of my Soul Essence, the only thing mantaining the Beast in that microscopic size was the of the Soul Essence that had already acted on it since birth, but because that amount was too little, it couldn't handle even laying the tip of it's paw on a normal cell and the Soul Essence on it was expurged from it's body." Lewin nodded.

"I think i can make a creature from the globe interact with normal sized cells if i am personally making they stay on that size. That's good to know. But well, coming back to the problem at hand..." Lewin looked at the liquid still floating on his hand.

This liquid was something like a liquid version of Soul Essence, Lewin could make the same thing if he wanted to, but this Soul Essence made by humans was different, it was liquid Soul Essence, but it was.... Empty... All of it's miraculous properties were lost, almost like... It was used up for something....

Lewin's eyes immediatelly went wide and he returned the Liquid Soul Essence to where it previously was and started to search around the globe for something.

Short after, Lewin stoped his search when he detected an annomally on a humble villaged on Britania's territory, a bit far from the Capital City.

On a very humble wooden house, he detected a mother living with two children, a Girl and Boy, the girl was 13 years old and the boy was 11 years old. This family was very eye catching, mainly because of their appearances, all of them, except for the mother that had blue eyes, had white hair, eyelashes, and eyes, almost like they were toys.

But for Lewin, it was for an entirelly other reason.

"This.... This is a Superior Gene!!!"
