What they shall do, my mind repeatedly trying to grab a hold on the words. Grayson was still standing over Jasmine, the fear no longer overshadowed his vision. Even though there was a glimmer of mindfulness in his eyes, he leaned downwards towards her.
"Wha-" I was cut short when he undid her pony-tail only to reveal a scarlet red streak along her brown curls. Greyson looked over to Bryan then to me.
Slowly following in greysons lead I went towards Bryan and carefully combed through his hair, his dark brown hair running along my fingers. A red streak much like Jasmines ran along his hair.
"What does red mean?" he asked, staring at Bryans hair.
I sighed, " For scarlet red….its means chaos" I said blankly, trying to hide all my fear for the children I practically raised. Greyson just hummed in understandment. "Do you have a vehicle? I think it's time for you to leave."
His stare landed on me colder than ice, "I do, but I'm not leaving." he stated.
"They're gonna take days to wake up, and why do you even want to stay here? You can always leave." I said with genuine curiosity.
He glanced at Bryan, his face softing, his body relaxing he chuckled "I've never seen magic in my life, it would be good for what i'm planning to do in my life"
My eyebrow raised with genuine curiosity, "And what may that be?" The boy huffed an amused hum following, his face softing, "For a woman that, One I don't even know well and Two, this whole silent truth thing were going with may only be temporarily"
I chuckled and smirked, "Oh you know me, but if you need a name it's Avaline, Ava if you will."
His face turned cold once more, his gray eyes turned a supernatural silver that almost glowed in the dim room, yet his face remained calm. "Snow" his voice a hint lower than what it was before.
I wasn't scared, I would say more self cautious if anything. He was still unnatural, a kid maybe but still unnatural. He needed to know what he was getting himself into, but how would he react?
Taking a few silent breaths I simply replied, "Caddel" giving him a serious look. It was no time to play anymore when two of the four people in this room were awakening their ture sides.
It looked like he took the hint, but he paused, tipping his chin upwards and took a long inhale through his nose. He exhaled out his mouth silently, "Who's the other kid?"
Took me a while to understand the question, answering this question with a question "This is a church as well as an orphanage, there bound to be kids why even ask?"
He shrugged and kept on staring at the twins. I put Shane to bed already, Grace was probably upstairs reheating some food for herself. "What did you mean when you said 'I see what they are, and what they shall do'."
-Greyson-
I couldn't really explain why I said that it was just like I needed to, Like I needed them. Avaline was giving me time to think it over, the question wasn't the thing that purplex me. It was my own words after all, it was finding the meaning within them. The one time when my words were controlled by pure instinct, when I wasn't me.
The only thing I could do was think over my own words, I fought long and hard for a few seconds.
Until I heard a gasp, I looked up, it wasn't from avaline it was from the center of the room. It was from them , they twins woke up at the same time looking around them like they were in a dream, they looked at eachother then to me.
Looking at Avaline for instructions I guess, she just looked at me and mouthed 'can't really act human now can you?'.
I sighed, and slowly let my eyes go silver, they shifted back a bit then the girl sat up and placed her right arm in front of her brother.
Taking a slow sigh and a step backwards I quietly said, "Um…hi, my name's Greyson." Silently cursing myself for being so shy. She just sat there staring at my eyes, I tried to shift my gaze but she followed them.
"Jasmine" was all she said, so her brother joined in and said "Bryan".
At least they responded.
