"I have always speculated that the enemies would return…" said Drystan, frowning.
"If they do so with the intent to surrender, they'll be more than welcome. However, if they turn up with certain demands that the likes of them shouldn't have the audacity to make, they will receive quite another welcome."
Ercilia can't help but smile a little to herself. She likes it a bit when Drystan gets this serious and threatening.
It makes a more feminine part of her melt when she sees his eyes glow like embers. He would bare his teeth slightly without realizing it, and she supposed he has always been such a dangerous man. It's probably not good to appreciate his feral tendencies the way she does. But she has faith that she's perfectly safe, confident that he would never harm her.
'If he so much as made an attempt, I'd really beat him senseless.'
Drystan continues his conversation with Ruxandra, unaware of Ercilia's set of thoughts.
