To be honest, it was quite creepy. When twelve pairs of floating eyes are rapidly approaching the tube, you do not feel anything pleasant. As they approached, I noticed a vague silhouette that was slightly larger than a piranha.
They did not do anything while sailing to me. The shield protected me from their constant shots. They did not pose a serious threat to me, so I boldly rushed to take my prey, which I managed to kill a few tens of seconds ago. When I swam up to the carcass of an eel ... or a snake, the piranhas were quite close to me.
Suddenly, by echolocation, I realized that the fish was thirteen. One fish, pouring quite a lot of mana over his face, was going to bite my stomach. By injecting mana into my brain, I accelerated my response and the speed of signals in my brain, which increased the computing power of my brain. But as they say: free cheese only in a mousetrap. It's just a rough frame of one technique that I've used quite (constantly), so the safety of this technique is negative. For those who do not understand, moss brains are gradually melting, but everything is like in slow motion.
After a millisecond reflection on the situation in which I found myself, I realized that my shield will not stand because it is beaten from a weak spot, from below (the second weak spot - the top of the barrier). Without thinking, I rushed to the carcass with all my might, not forgetting to pour the mana into the tail to get extra speed and shoot the mana back for the much-needed acceleration.
I was able to avoid the blow without any problems. The piranha accelerated so fast that it was able to change its trajectory only after swimming about two meters up.
After that, I realized that my shield would not change anything with its presence against this mad piranha. So I turned off the external protection. I didn't unlock the inner shield because the little piranhas kept shooting at me.
The momentum from the jerk was enough for me to grab the carcass. I continued on my way without turning back. I swam straight to twelve hungry paws. Well, a fun situation (no).
