It felt like Azren was no longer a demon but a robot now. He stiffly followed Michy around with his lifeless face and a pair of empty eyes. His mind wandered and just responded to Michy with a nod or a shaking head every time the idol talked to him or asked him a question.
Yeah, talked to him and asked him a question. The idol did not order him around but talked to him like a friend. Yeah, like a friend.
Even after the boy voiced out his wish to become Azren's friend, the youth continued to talk to him like they were old friends. And even though Azren didn't give a green light for the idol to call him 'Ren,' the idol still called him by that nickname in the end.
Demons didn't have parents or relatives, and Azren didn't have any friends either. It was the first time for him when someone called him by a nickname, and he had never imagined being called 'Ren' in his life.
"Ren, which one do you like more?"
Azren still didn't feel familiar with the nickname, and his body still shuddered a little every time Michy called him by that name.
They were currently at a mall. Michy, with his stubborn character even though he was in his nice mode, asked him to drive the van to a mall. The idol wanted to buy some clothes for the blonde, and the said blonde couldn't reject the command.
"Uh, that's too expensive, Michy. We'd better try to look at other shops."
Michy had selected some clothes for him, and he was the one who brought them now. If Azren remembered correctly, the idol had already selected four pairs of pants and six shirts for him. All of them were in Azren's hands now.
"Didn't I tell you to call me 'Mich'? You are my friend now, so you have to call me by my nickname too."
Michy did it again. The silver-haired youth also wanted to be called by a nickname, but Azren felt uncomfortable doing so. That was why he kept calling Michy by his name instead of his nickname.
"Are you sure it will be okay if I call you that? You only met me yesterday, and I feel awkward acting so familiar with you," the demon argued as he rubbed the back of his neck nervously.
Azren had his own argument, but the idol just squinted his blue eyes at him angrily. "Just call me by that nickname, or you have to pay for the clothes yourself!"
The blonde flinched in surprise. No, Michy had not returned to his evil self yet, but it seemed that the nice Michy could get angry too. Azren didn't have any choice but to nod his head obediently.
"You have nodded your head, so can you try to call me by that nickname?"
Michy was the most stubborn creature both in his evil self or his nice self!
"You want me to call you 'Mich,' right? Alright, we better stop shopping now because you have bought a lot for me, Mich."
The human finally grinned in satisfaction upon hearing the demon did as he ordered.
"That's my boy!"
The idol exclaimed for a little, and Azren blushed hard. He brought his gaze to his surroundings, and thankfully, the shop was quite vacant.
"Don't say something like that when we are in public. People might misunderstand your word."
Azren had learned about how humans were living, including about how humans like to gossip about other people. That was why he knew that Michy needed to be careful with his words. He was an idol, and people's eyes were on him all the time.
"This shop is an exclusive shop, and not many people dare to enter this shop. That's why I brought you here. I'm comfortable shopping in a quiet place like this."
The demon nodded in understanding. Michy was the rising star, and of course, people would keep their eyes on him all the time. Being an idol was tiring.
"Are you sure those clothes are enough for you? You don't want to buy more?" The blue eyes owner asked the taller man before him.
"Yes," the taller man answered. "It's more than enough, so we better pay now and go home immediately. You have an interview in a radio station after this, right?"
Felice had sent him Michy's complete schedule for this week, and he had memorized them in his head. He tried to be a professional assistant to save his position near the human, and he tried to assist the idol properly.
"Okay," Michy finally relented as he put back the clothes in his hands to the racks. "Let's go to the cashier counter to pay."
Azren just nodded his head and followed his boss toward the cashier counter. A female shopkeeper welcomed them politely, and Azren handed the clothes to her. He then stepped aside to let the silver-haired boy pay for the clothes.
All the clothes chosen by Michy were expensive, but he wasn't the one who asked the idol to buy him those clothes. It was Michy who forced him to accept. Michy said that he wanted Azren to look presentable when he was on duty, and the blonde man just nodded his head as an agreement. He didn't have to spend any money, anyway.
The female shopkeeper had counted the price of the clothes, and his eyes widened upon hearing the nominal said by the shopkeeper. He peeped at Michy, and the latter looked so calm as he fished out his wallet and was about to hand his credit card to the shopkeeper.
But the idol suddenly froze. The credit card was still in his hand, and he looked puzzled.
Azren frowned confusedly before tapping the idol's shoulder. "Are you okay, Mich?" He asked in concern.
The young idol turned his head to him stiffly and glared at him dangerously.
"Who permitted you to call me by that nickname?"
Oh no! It was the return of the evil!
