Chapter 4 - A night that lasts forever

One night, Gav found him.

It was dark in the room, but she felt his presence. She knew it was him. But where was he?

She strained her eyes to look for him, squinting hard so her vision could focus on the little light illuminating the small space.

It was loud, and people kept moving around. It made it difficult for her to find him. But she sensed he was near.

"Can I join you?" A voice that she longed to hear just spoke near her ears.

When her head shifted to her left, she saw a partial feature of his face. She automatically confirmed it was him.

The next thing she knew, they were laughing, drinking, dancing, and telling information about themselves.

"I have such a great time." She told him, not wanting the night to end.

She could feel the connection between them. It felt like a chain linked them together, tying their lives forever.

She knew it was an odd feeling. How could she think they would end up together when she hardly knew this man?

"Me, too." His voice seemed to caress not only her ears but her very soul.

Her brain rang warning bells inside her head, but fear did not even cross her mind. It was like she trusted him with all her heart.

She felt her quickened heartbeat, not because she was afraid. But because she could not contain her excitement. She wanted more.

More time with him.

"Who are you?" She finally asked, remembering not getting his name.

She had searched her memories for any details about him. But she did not recall that he ever mentioned or revealed his identity to her.

"I am..." But she never heard the answer as something interrupted her.

Then, her eyes widened as her nightmare resurfaced. What were those men doing there? She blinked several times, wondering if she saw the same thing.

She could not be positive since it was dark. Their body build was the same, but their eyes seemed different. Still, she could not control the fear she felt for her life.

"Hey, is there something wrong?" He asked, probably seeing the fear covering her eyes.

Then, his eyes followed hers, checking what she looked at, then realization dawned on him. "Let me deal with them."

He quickly stood up, walked over to those men, and made them leave. Soon, she watched them disappear from her sight.

When he returned, he enveloped her inside his arms. "Nobody will ever hurt you. I will be here to protect you." He whispered into her ears.

Suddenly, they were inside this quiet, dimly lit room, alone. "Isn't this better?" He guided her into a soft couch.

"Yeah!" Of course, it was. She even felt so much better. Her fear somehow dissipated as she let him cradle her in his arms.

"Thank you." She uttered, feeling she owed him her life. She saved him from danger. He was her savior.

Then, she shifted in her seat, moving to face him. She wanted to look at his face. She wished to get to know him more.

But just like before, she could barely see his face. But before she could move, she felt him lean closer. She saw his lips that smiled at her. But other than that, all seemed covered by a haze.

"Can I kiss you?" It sounded like a question, but she doubted he was waiting for an answer, at least not a verbal one.

When she nodded, she automatically closed her eyes. She had never kissed a man before. An inexperienced boy, yes, but not an attractive, dominant-looking man.

Then, she waited for his lips to touch hers. It seemed like it took him forever, but she knew it could not have been more than a few seconds.

No words could describe what she felt at that moment. If her feet had wings, they would be floating in the air. It was a complete euphoria.

Gradually, he pulled away just a few inches as he stared into her eyes. "Do you want more?"

Damn! She cursed inside. Of course, she wanted to shout yes, but no words came out of her open mouth. It was like her lungs trapped the air inside her lungs.

She could barely breathe, much alone speak out her desire. She had only one recourse. With one swift breath, she took the matter in her hands.

She grabbed his face, planted her lips in his, and moved according to what she felt was right. How hard could it be to kiss a guy?

It was not that hard as he took the reigns from her. Then, she felt his hand moving along her body, exploring her curves over her clothes.

"Uhhhmmm!" She heard an unusual moan echoing around them, not realizing it came from her. Not until she felt his fingers crawling underneath her blouse.

She thought his kiss was enough to bring her to heaven, but she was mistaken. She knew she wanted more, anticipating his next move.

She felt his hands pushing her down until her back lay flat on the soft cushion. Then, he was on top of her, feeling the warmth that his body radiated on her skin.

"Please..." She begged him as her body initiated more contact with his hard physique. It was quite a contrast to her soft, supple body.

But what was she begging for? What did she want from him?

She felt his lips glide down her chin, along the length of her throat, on her exposed shoulders. She felt every nerve of her body burning.

"What do you want?" His words reverberated in her mind.

But how could she answer such a question?

She wanted his lips to kiss her passionately like there was no tomorrow.

His eyes focused only on her and nobody else.

His arms wrapped around her body, protecting her.

His voice caressed her ears, whispering sweet nothings.

And more importantly, him, claiming her as his.

"I want a night that lasts forever."
