Chapter 132 - Blind Judgment, Part Two.

Cracking his whip with a simple pull at both ends, a flare of white reflected out his snowy eyes' centers. Just that look from a monstrous Requiem abomination sent Chrollo to grab at his face with elongated nails serving as demonic claws, digging into his skin, drawing bloody lines whilst he dragged them along his flesh.

The Jester's soft voice, turned malicious, was layered by a monster's echo. His face glitched while he spoke, leaving messy smears of his bloody features.

"You HIDEOUS piece of GARBAGE! To think of someone as UGLY as you... would INHERIT that POWER!!! I-I-I'll SPLATTER YOUR INSIDES EVERYWHERE!"

He rushed ahead, leaving a windy gust in his wake, shattering the ground beneath his feet, branding another sickle. The tip upwards at his chin, Alex instantly flipped backward, without even allowing for his palms to scrape the floor. Feet momentarily gliding across the ground, he landed effortlessly, simultaneously swiping his hand across the space.

The Jester turned his head, witnessing the incoming whip snap his way instantly, burning at the air and the apartment, cauterizing it in two as it sliced apart separately. Now in the air after his dodging leap, Icarus vanished into a world of stopped time, sending Amara to turn around. The whip had spiraled into his fingers, entangling his knuckles, continuing to spark that seething white lightning the Blessed Emperor despised so much. Landing a perfect right hook on Chrollo's face, the Jester gasped for air while puking bloody droplets, eyes left widened, not to mention bloodshot.

"Ugly?!" Al asked loudly with a smile... before his eyes widened.

Naraku's tongue sprawled out his mouth like a venomous snake's. Instead of it licking his skin, it acted as a sword, slicing apart the knuckles sinking into his face, ridding Alex of a hand. Regrowing it instantly with his Vita, once again, the Jester vanished, but this time, reappearing to his front.

Punching at his face after reappearing, the Judge swatted his fist away, doing this twice as more punches came flying. Regrowing another dagger from his wrist, the duo of enemies watched as it flipped through the air after launching from Chrollo's skin. Catching it instantaneously, Alex flipped over a cleaving slice aimed at his chest, spinning in mid-air to dodge. Landing casually, he could only raise his fists more, dodging more slashes, hearing the sounds of metallic sparking as metal clashed against more metal. Watching as some strands blocked his vision, Alex clenched his teeth, wrapping his whip around the dagger as it thrust at his chin.

Suddenly, their speedy battle halted, and the two of them were able to register their surroundings. Catching his breath with heavy pants, Alexander stared ahead with ready white eyes, Icarus giggling while gazing forward.

"Who's the ugly one again?" Asked Alex, newly smirking, pulling him forward so their faces could be only a breath apart.

"Watch your mouth," Chrollo snarled, snapping apart the knife, flipping back twice after escaping the Judge's hold, "Little brat!" He finished, monstrously rasping.

Instead of landing against the street ground, he descended upon an apartment's rooftop, swiping his palm across the space before him. Manifesting four doorways glistening baby blue, Alex upturned a brow, wondering--the path that laid ahead at this battle's end. Suddenly, out the gateways spat rocky spheres, flames attached to the outskirts of the projectiles. Aimed right there, intending to singe the Judge to a mere shadow on the very surface he stood upon.

However, as always, the Requiems challenged the incarnation of their fate, initiating a whirl. Spiraling into a spin, twirling the whip embodying a white hue around the length, he sliced apart the balls of fire aimed at his body placed against this lower ground. Detonating them, he created smoky clouds prohibiting their visions, leaving the Jester to ready his next weapon. Instead of another deathly scythe or monstrous sickle carved from blood, he manifested one cleaver to combat the versatile might of the Judge's whip. Twirling it around his back then over his head, he shouted with a maniacal laugh, ducking to dodge a coming swipe.

Splitting apart the smoke to reveal Retly's mechanical background, Alex entered from outside the fog with extended legs and a spinning whip before him. Before even landing, he captured the cleaver in his lash's net, twisting it into multiple threads of grey- then kicking the Jester off the rooftop. Cutting the sword's sharpness, Icarus disappeared as he fled off the house's top. However, just before he could crash into the street once more, a foot entered Al's back.

At that moment, everything slowed, but Alex couldn't move. Instead, he was confined to his mind with rushing thoughts streaming at speeds akin to light's swiftness.

'What the hell? Did he manage to destroy the Unlimited and land an attack on me? How? I'd sense the moment his foot would enter my range and instantly split it apart. Maybe the Judge split and was still attached to him after I kicked him off? No, that's impossible. God, how stupid am I!? I know what happened... it's him! He's back!'

Alex fell into a hunched posture, palms halting his descent, blood rapidly dripping out his nose. Instead of retaliating, he was forced to recuperate from his multiple injuries, capturing his breath with a heavy inhalation.

Towering over him, accompanied by a menacing shadow that protruded horns from his skin, the Blessed Emperor clad in the Jester's vessel glared down from the darkness of the sun's light. Gazing upon the pitiful defeat of the Requiem Judge, he stifled another giggle from his lips' corner.

"To think in just one move I can erase that insolent Unlimited barrier while Chrollo can't even pierce its defenses. The beasts of this New World can't compare to my Incarnation kinsmen. But, then again, that's to be expected. Not one single Evolutionary or even a Hybrid can't rival the might of a Requiem abomination like you... Alexander Amara," Naraku coldly insulted, retinas identical coloring as Alex's.

"But... you can't pierce Shattered Limit, can you?" Retorted Alex before coughing up blood onto the rooftop.

This remark earned a kick to his gut, sending Alex flat on his back, continuing to cough while holding his chest, interrupted by a raspy chuckle. In the face of danger, he laughed. As always, the Requiems' incessant rebellion afflicted angered veins to the corners of his fair skin oozing a darkened veil.

"Do you have any last words?" Naraku asked.

"No," Alex's answer was unusually quick, "Because I don't plan on dying here."

He started to rise, cracking his neck from side to side, snapping his knuckles with a finger's pressure against the index. For once in the 11-year history of Retly's existence, the sun was granted access to this secret environment's vast metal city.

Golden light poured out the hole popped in the surrounding sphere encompassing Retly, gracing its presence on only one granted a blessed title. The spring began with a chilly breeze scraping his cheek, those cool winds sending his strands awry, keeping them moving before his tanned fade, his holy white pupils. Only he dared to accept those daring rays against his face, his body, chosen by whatever Gods persisted in this New World that damned celestial beings from existing.

Naraku's lips parted, perhaps sparking the slightest idea of bewilderment within his almighty person. A Requiem abomination at the height of the realm of supremacy with godlike power that rivaled even the Angels, daring to vanquish the demons. In the face of penultimate destruction, he needn't falter, instead, he smiled. Like an ignorant child deemed innocent, he grinned.

A fist connected to his pretty face and sent his figure flailing into the sky, penetrating the clouds for him to hover above the Heavens.

"Someone like you... TO THINK someone like you could dare to stand up to me!" Naraku's teeth clenched with words hissing from his shut mouth.

Beyond the heavens, above the clouds, he affixed himself. Stabilizing his flight, outreaching his hand with a careless look embedded into his holy sight. Somehow, that bun atop his hair endured the style its master formed, but those thoughts streamed through his head like a chaotic current amongst an endless forest of greenery.

'Sorry, everyone. Presently, I don't care about you all. I don't care about anything.'

The clouds parted to reveal his heavenly figure with a finger pointed at Naraku's wretched form seated atop the building. The grace of heaven's specialty creased against his temples, slid through his locks, forming a smug smile reminiscent of his white-haired instructor. Naraku's eyes widened.

For the first time in his life, a single emotion reigned in his chest; unable to be named or recognized, but without a shadow of a doubt, there was no mistaking that this feeling was undeniably fear.

'Right now... it's just... that everything... feels right.'

"Throughout Heaven and Earth, I alone am the Honored One."

To Be Continued.
