Chapter 5 - Chapter 4: Cursed At Birth

The sun had started to rise, welcoming everyone. It was sure to be a wonderful 4th of July, judging by the cloudless sky. The light started to shine into the car, in which Liana was sleeping. She was rolling around in the car seat, groaning from a bad dream she was having. Sweat poured down her face, and eyes rolled fast under their lids. "Phil, please don't hurt me. Please; I'm begging you! PHIL!" she screamed. Then she bolted up, gazing into the sunrise. "God, it was like a terrible dream." She rubbed her eyes, when there was a knock on the driver side door. Liana screamed; her eyes wide open in fear. It was just Phil, but he was naked. "P-Phil?" she stammered. "Open the door baby; I need to get in here before I get in trouble."

She sat there, not knowing if she should honor his request. Phil placed a hand on the window, with the vial in his free hand. "Come on Liana, I won't hurt you." He said. Liana nodded then unlocked his door, allowing him to get in. He sat down, forgetting about the vial that was now in his left hand. Liana looked at it immensely, "What is that?" she asked him. Phil lifted it up, watching as the dark liquid bubbled around in the glass. "Oh this? It's just a tonic. It helps boost the antibodies and is full of vitamin C."

She's never going to buy that you idiot! Phil thought. He trailed off as something else rose inside his brain. "Give her the potion now!" Phil squeezed his eyes shut as he tried to force the thought out of his mind. "Tonic?" Liana replied. Phil nodded towards her. "It's something I acquired before we got together yesterday. I figured you'd need to have your strength after what you saw last night." Liana folded her arms, staring hard at him. "So it's like an energy drink?" she asked. Phil sensed the innocence in her voice, making it harder for him to hand the vial. He tried to fight the force that was making his arm move, but couldn't resist it any longer. "S-sure; here you go." He handed the vial to her. She popped the cork off and took a big whiff of it.

"Whew, that smells so bad!" With just a tiny sniff of the potion, something began to stir inside her. She grimaced, clenching a hand on her belly. Something gurgled deep inside her. But she trusted Phil and readied herself. Liana plugged her nose and tipped the bottle upside down, and began to drain the entirety of the vial's contents. The liquid poured nastily down her throat and settled badly in her stomach. She immediately felt queasy right from the get go, and could feel vomit threatening to erupt out of her mouth, so she opened the door. "P-Phil, I-I don't f-feel so good…" Liana said. No more than a few seconds later, she was vomiting all over the pavement.

The burning never stopped in her stomach though so puke continued to shoot out of her for almost five minutes when the sensation finally went away. Liana's face was covered in even more sweat as she gasped for air. "That was absolutely h-horrible." Phil couldn't believe she just drank it, and as he expected; her belly was already beginning to grow. Before it was completely skinny but now a bubbled surface was appearing. "Good job Phillip. The baby will be fully termed tonight, when the moon will once again be full. Make sure she is in a secure place and has a person look over her so the baby is delivered properly."

The woman said in Phil's head. An overwhelming guilt roared inside him. He fought back tears, so Liana wouldn't see through him. Phil nodded and then started his car to leave the beach behind. Deep down in his mind he could just sense what his, soon to be daughter, was going to go through. He knew that she would be an outcast in modern society and worried about how she was going to handle all of it. How she was going to go from being a normal kid to a girl who transforms every month. He couldn't shake the fear that made a knot in his gut.

"Ohh, my stomach." Liana groaned. She grasped her belly, closing her teeth hard as an intense pain began to rumble all over it. She screamed one loud yelp as the skin and muscle shot out a few inches instantly. Her breasts began to feel tender, softening whilst a warm liquid dumped into them. They filled her bra up even more until it was at a breaking point. "What… what's happening to me?" she gasped. Suddenly, it stopped; making her look as if she were a few months pregnant. "Phil?" she asked. Phil grunted, to acknowledge that he knew. His eyes burned as he hurried to Liana's apartment and readied her for the birth tonight.

He hit a stop light, just at a corner turn, when Liana screamed again, this time even louder than before. She rolled around in her seat, panting and sweating while feeling her stomach begin to grow bigger. It strained on the button, continuing to gain girth until it popped clean off. She grabbed the ballooned skin, sliding her hands up and down its smooth surface. Her eyes widened and mouth dropped in complete shock. "Why is this happening to me?!" Liana yelled. "UGH, I CAN FEEL SOMETHING M-M-MOVING!" Before Liana could brace herself; her stomach grew even more, unzipping her jeans and beginning to close in on the dashboard. She tried to grab onto it and push back but it wouldn't budge. Instead, this action made her stomach grow even faster.

"Liana, baby; you got to be strong for me! Stay strong; 'for both of us'" he whispered at the end. The light turned green, and Phil tore down the street, and took the left turn, driving by numerous apartment buildings. They all appeared way better than the drug addict avenue down across town. Every building was made of pure red brick and had no blemish on them. No cracks, no holes, not even missing cement.

The windows lay similar to each other, one big window on the top floor and two smaller ones on the bottom. In the center of the windows sat a red door, with different black numbers on them. "What was your apartment building's number again?" Phil asked. "N-number fifty f-f-fourrr… OW!" She scrambled around, trying to find an even footing as her stomach kept stretching outwards. It was now beginning to touch the dashboard, and pressed hard against it.

She groaned and grunted, watching as her skin bubbled around. Then her belly button popped out painfully and breasts destroyed her bra. Both of Liana's ankles swelled twice their size. She could feel a baby kicking rapidly inside of her, and couldn't believe what had just happened to her. It confused Liana like nothing else. She turned her gaze over to Phil, anger etched on her face. "YOU DID THIS PHIL! WHAT WAS IN THAT TONIC?!"

To the right of the long road, sat an old fence that lead up to a building which Phil could barely make out on the top of the mountain. "What is that building anyway?" he asked. Liana gasped, as her breath finally slowed back down. She breathed heavily until her heart rate slowed and then answered. "That… ugh; is... Well, I have absolutely no idea." "All I want to know is who made all this possible? How is it you're a werewolf, when I thought they never existed? And HOW am I pregnant? We've never had sex!" She brushed her hair back, and stared at Phil with confusion. Phil sighed in return; his guilt was overwhelming now, but he couldn't bear to tell her.

"Let's…. hmm… Let's go inside shall we? Are your parents home?" Liana shook her head in return. "They're gone for the week on a business trip; why?" she asked. Phil ran his hands through his hair, then just got out of the car and went around opening Liana's door. He picked her up and carried her up the stairs towards the front door. "I have to do this baby. I'm so-so sorry that this has happened to you. I figured I'd help you, since you've gone through so much in such a short time, and I know it's VERY confusing. But believe me; you're not alone… you're never alone in this. I'll explain someday, I promise you that!" He then went up to the front door, and opened it, then walked Liana towards a couch in the living room to the left.

Liana's apartment was a very nice; modern home. Once entering the building towards the right is a long open bar table, which had stools lined on the outside of it. Behind the bar counter stood a five range stove, complete with a huge oven and overhead lights. Connected to this stove were counters, that were painted red, and above the bottom counters sat a granite top. To the very far right was a sink; behind it was a small window in the shape of a semi-circle. A silver fridge was on the left of the counter tops, and in the center stood a small, round mahogany stained wooden table with three chairs around it. Just ahead from the hallway was a staircase which had green carpet tacked to it. The railings were painted red just like the counters and the wallpaper was a dark, navy blue.

Standing on the left side of the staircase, was a door which lead to the parent's master bedroom; which was closed. In the living room, just to the right was a fireplace which had logs at the ready to burn when needed. It was in the shape of a perfect rectangle with a steel grating over the logs and a marble stone fireplace cover. A mantle was mounted on the wall above the fireplace, holding pictures of Liana's family including one at the very end on the right of Liana and Phil. The floor was dark wood with one circular green carpet in the dead center of the room. On the left was a blue leather couch, which Phil sat Liana on. She folded her legs up, and grasped her stomach, trying to ignore the pain of the baby moving around.

Phil could see the terror hiding behind those blue eyes. He felt so bad about what was going on with her. She was so innocent, and now she was going to give birth to a baby that didn't deserve to be born in this way. Phil began to get angry at himself for allowing this to happen, and at the old woman for making him do it. He paced up and down the room, not even remembering that he was naked. His breathing intensified while his pacing quickened. His hands ran up and down the sides of his head, as he pulled at his hair with frustration. At the opposite end of the room a grandfather clock chimed twelve times. "Phillip, can you come over here please?" "Sure thing baby." He replied, walking over to his beautiful fiancé. She was so immaculate, even with the swollen stomach emerging from her.

"What is it?" he asked her, placing his hands over her belly button, and running them up and down the skin. Liana shuddered and grabbed his right hand, looking deep into his eyes. Even after all she's been through she has enough courage to love him. She's been through so much in the last eight hours. Phil couldn't believe she still had the strength to crack a smile after all she's been through. He would understand if it was a grimace or even a slight frown; not a smile."You're so handsome Phil, I mean it." Phil felt his heart twang with such pain and guilt that he felt his chest aching.

He grasped his chest, closing his left hand onto the hairs. Liana's eyes watered a bit, when suddenly a loud crack zapped the silence out of the room. Followed closely by an ear piercing yell of pain, as Liana's back arched, and stomach started to move even faster than before. Her legs snapped wide open, as she dilated even more. She grasped them, while one painful contraction after another struck her body. She ravaged in pain, rocking back and forth, holding onto her stomach. Phil tried to hold her hand, and make her feel relaxed but she shook it off. "HELP M-MEEEE!" Liana screamed. "I-I need to call a doctor; fast!" Phil responded and ran to the nearest phone, which was in the kitchen, next to the doorway.

He dialed 911 and got to the operator. "What is the emergency sir?" Phil could barely get a straight answer in, as his heart was beating as fast as a train. "M-my fiancé, she; she's pregnant and is in labor ma'am. She's giving birth right here in her living room." "We can send an ambulance right now…" "MA'AM, SHE'S GIVING BIRTH RIGHT NOW AS WE SPEAK!" Phil screamed. "Sir, please calm down, we are sending an ambulance…" Phil cursed so loud that even Liana could hear it. "She's not gonna make it…" "PHIL… PHIL?! H-HELP ME PLEEASSEE!" Liana yelled as loud as she could.

Then the phone went silent, which Phil cursed again and slammed it on the receiver. "Damn it!" he said to himself. "Baby, is there any type of doctor that can come here and help you?" Liana cried hard, but then steadied her breath, then replied. "D-Doctor John J-Johanson. He's a family doctor, and he practices in delivering babies; his number is on the fridge." Phil found it on the freezer door: 215-3253. "I'm calling it now; hang in there baby." He told her.

Once Phil punched the number in, he waited as the phone droned on and on. "Come on man, pick up!" he ordered the phone. Just then a man answered, "Yes, can I help you?" he asked. "Yes is this Doctor John Johanson?" Phil asked. "Yes sir this is, may I ask what the matter is?" Phil started panicking while listening to Liana screaming in the next room. "Y-yeah; she is giving birth to our baby now; like right now!" Phil replied. "How much is she dilated?" John replied. "How would I know sir?! I'm sorry but I'm not an expert on this. All I know is the baby is coming and it's coming fast."

"I'm on my way son, just stay calm; hold her hand, and do what you can to make her feel comfortable. I will be there ETA five minutes." With that he hung up. Phil swore under his breath again, then ran to the living room, panicking. He was still naked, which Liana noticed in the brief time between contractions. "Um, Phil; make sure you put some clothes on…" "I don't have any with me!" he replied. "Go get a pair of my dad's PJ bottoms; it'll work for now!" He agreed then stopped just at the doorway. "Where are they?" He looked and felt so confused from all that had been going on the last half hour to an hour. Liana giggled again; "In the master bedroom, third drawer from the top, remember?"

"Oh… I'll get some now." Phil ran down the hallway, bypassing multiple pictures and slammed the door open, gazing into the huge master bedroom. Across from him sat a heart shaped bed that bore red sheets, blankets and pillows. The floor was made of lightly stained wood and the walls were white. To the left sat another fireplace, this one appeared more regal. It had carvings of roses all around the edges.

Above the mantelpiece was a painting of the married couple; Liana's parents, whom were smiling brightly at what was the artist who was painting them at the time. Liana was a spitting image of her mother. They both had the same exact hair; same color, texture and length. They both had the same facial features, same body size and weight but Liana had something different than her mom. She had her father's eyes; "Thank you sir for giving your daughter the most amazing eyes I've ever seen in my life." Phil said to the painting. The father was at least a foot taller than the girl, and had a long black beard and short buzz cut hair.

Phil found the black dresser on the right side of the room, with a bunch of jewelry and loose change perched on it. The third drawer down was easy to find so Phil withdrew a long pair of black PJ pants and then slipped them on. They were huge on him, so luckily he was able to tie them up with the strings sticking out of the waistline.

Another ear shattering scream erupted from out in the living room, followed by intense grunting, and then sickening gurgling noises. Phil sprinted from the master bedroom, and as he reached the front door, it rang; Dr. John was there, so he opened it. He looked like a nice, average doctor, with short brown hair, brown eyes, and a face that resembled a bear. His hands were huge, which clasped tightly onto a leather bag. He had a short sleeved black shirt along with thick white shorts on. "Sorry for the shabby clothes, I was called at an unexpected time; I didn't even know young Liana was even pregnant." He allowed Phil to guide him through the door and then entered the living room.

Liana laid panting profusely, sweating all over and grasping a belly that was jiggling like crazy. All over the surface of her stomach, bubbles of flesh moved. "Okay, let's see here… Ah yes, you are fully termed, firm stomach, swollen mammary glands and you are dilated about four centimeters." Phil felt so scared that he got to his knees, holding Liana's left hand. "What do the diameters mean when a woman is dilating?" he asked. "When the woman becomes at least ten centimeters dilated, she can begin the birthing process. If she pushes anytime before that, she risks tearing her cervix completely." John pulled Liana's shirt up all the way, putting a stethoscope to her stomach, and listening for the baby's movements.

"Your baby is moving magnificently Liana. It is positioning itself to enter the birth canal at a better position. Let's check on your dilation." John asked Liana to pull her shorts down again, which she did. "Ah yes, you are ten centimeters dilated now so the pushing can now begin. Now; be strong. Your boyfriend and I will be here every step of the way. The miracle of birth is not an easy thing to tackle. So just take a deep breath and push when you're ready." Liana took a few deep breaths, reached over to Phil; who grabbed her hand once again and let her squeeze hard.

She clenched her teeth, squeezed her eyes shut and screamed so loud that Phil felt his ears ring. She pushed and pushed over and over again for minutes on end. It was now five forty five p.m. Judging by the grandfather clock's interface; she was in labor for over five hours now. Phil couldn't believe all those hours passed by like that, but he knew Liana did. She was the one pushing the baby out. But it felt weird to him. Time never flew by that fast. He shook his head and turned his gaze back towards Liana."The baby's head is crowning Liana, keep pushing; you're doing a fantastic job!" John assured her. "GET THIS BABY OUT OF ME!" Liana yelled at him. "I CAN'T T-TAKE THIS ANYMORE! UGH; OH GOD!" With one last horrendous push, the baby shot out of her, and into the blankets that John prepared. "Very good job Liana, you did a very splendid job indeed." He looked at the infant and smiled. "You have a daughter Liana. Congratulations, to both of you."

Liana's eyes were barely open; filled with drowsiness and heavy with fatigue. "C-can I have her p-p-please…?" she gasped. "Of course; of course; here you are." John wrapped the baby up, after cutting the umbilical cord and handed the baby over. Phil wiped Liana's bangs from her forehead with a cool rag that he got from the kitchen. She looked up at him, with those bloodshot eyes of hers. He grinned so brightly that his soul felt enlightened, even though deep down, he knew what was to become of their daughter. But he ignored this feeling and continued to kiss Liana's face. "What should we name her Phil?" He got lost in thought, trying to find a name out of the blue but nothing came to mind.

"Jennifer's a nice name…" Phil began. "How about we call her that? Jennifer Liana Warburton; Jenny for short." He waited for Liana to reply. "That sounds absolutely perfect Phil! From this day on she will be Jennifer "Jenny" Liana Warburton!" Phil nodded, and then looked deeply at his daughter. She shared Liana's face, 'Thank God!' Phil thought to himself. But when Jenny opened her tiny little eyes, she had a weird eye color. It was turquoise; a mixture of both their eye colors. "Oh my God Phil! Those are the most amazing eyes I've ever seen." Liana commented. "I know baby, she is wonderfully beautiful. She's like a gift straight from God himself."

"What a world we live in, huh Phil?" Phil nodded in return to Liana. The baby cried, an innocent little whimper as it began to stir a bit more. "Well I guess I'll be off…" John started. "Wait! I have to give you something. Do you mind if I visit my car real quick?" "Not at all." Phil ran outside, and got into his car. He fished around the glove box and under the seats until he found his wallet. It was then that he noticed the sun was setting, rather earlier than it should be in the middle of the Summer. "No… JENNY!" He got out of the car, and sprinted back to the apartment and when he entered the living room he noticed something different. His daughter was still asleep in Liana's arms but something about her appeared odd.

He got closer to her, and when he got nearer Phil could see something changing on his daughter. Her tiny ears were becoming a bit pointy and when she gazed up at him with those big eyes, he could see the irises turning a shade of yellow. "I knew it…" he whispered to himself. Phil paced the room back and forth, cursing and freaking out as time went on. His guilt began to overcome him, quickly turning into boiling anger. For some reason he felt an extreme hatred towards Liana and as seconds ticked by; he felt an insatiable urge to kill. He felt his teeth painfully sharpening and jaw lines snap around under his skin. John saw what was happening and began to back off towards the front door.

"NO, YOU MUST STAY HERE DOCTOR!" Phil yelled at him, jerking his head in his direction. Phil's eyes turned bright yellow followed by his teeth shooting out even further. "Phillip… honey; are you alright?" Liana asked. She was holding their daughter in her arms, tightly, as she watched her love turn into a werewolf once again. "B-but I thought you already changed yesterday, how is this possible?!" she asked. Phil grunted, grasping the edge of Liana's couch, watching his hands grow into his former claws. "I… I'm sorry baby, please forgive me." He whispered to her, before his face snapped outwards into a snout. He flew onto his back, trying to deal with his spine tearing at his skin, and his chest barreling away from him. "My God… what's happening to him?" John asked. His face was painted into a look of sorrow and fear.

Liana breathed heavily then cleared her throat; trying to speak over Phil's intense screaming of agony. "It's unbelievable, isn't it?" She replied. Liana trailed off. Her mind was floating away to how the pregnancy came to be. She became pregnant after drinking that tonic that Phil gave her. The only question was how is this even possible? How is it werewolves exist and how did she become pregnant so fast? These same two questions have been plaguing Liana's mind for a while now. Their daughter cried aloud, flailing in her blankets. Liana gazed down into her enormous pupils, when it hit her; their daughter had a yellow tint to her eyes. "Oh no… Jesus forgive me; please. I'm so sorry honey!" Liana whispered to their daughter. Tears fell, dotting Jenny's little face.

That was when Phil launched up onto his feet, rocking the foundation of the house. The sudden jolt made the baby cry even harder. Phil looked at her, and reached over. Liana hid the baby behind her, shaking her head. "N-no Phil, you can't hurt her…" Phil continued to inch towards them, growling hard. Liana looked outside to see that the sun was completely gone, "But that's impossible it's like…" she stopped mid sentence. The grandfather clock chimed in nine times. "HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?!" Liana screamed out, wrenching her arms. Phil was now next to her, pouring his gaze deeply into her eyes.

Nothing but fear consumed her whole entire being. Her heart was beating so fast that her throat ached. Her face was loaded with sweat and hands shook so hard that both her arms followed. The bags under her eyes appeared intensified, and her skin felt clammy. Liana tried to talk to her fiancé but nothing could get through to him. "P-please Phil… D-d-don't hurt us. Y-you're not really here. S-s-stay with me Phil." Liana said, reaching out to his face. Phil allowed her to grab his furry cheeks, and let the warmth of them pour into him. She thought it was enough to pull him back, but then he growled, bearing his teeth.

"Phil? Ph-Phil…?" Liana started. She jerked her hands back. Her lips quivered; tears ran down her face. "PHIL?!" she screamed. He launched his head back, and howled deeply into the air. Liana cried even harder than all the other times combined; her mind knowing what was going to happen soon. She reached back towards their daughter, and held onto her with all her strength as Phil launched himself on top of her. "NOOO, DON'T!" John tried to grab a hold of Phil's arm but he was thrown across the room onto the fireplace. "STOP IT PHIL!" Liana couldn't believe how much pain coursed her being. Phil was tearing into her chest with his claws, easily ripping her skin off bit by bit.

"YOU HAVE TO REACH DEEP INSIDE Y-YOU PHIL; P-P-PLEEEASSEEE!" she yelled. It was too late at this point; Phil sunk his teeth deep into Liana's neck, biting down. She gasped as the fangs pierced her throat. A single water droplet beaded down her cheek, as she reached back to touch her daughter's face one last time, and then she was limp forevermore. Phil backed up, blood dripping out of his mouth. He sat down, burying his face in his claws, oblivious to what had just transpired over the last few moments. It took nearly twenty minutes for him to look back up at his dead soul mate. He could see the tear at the end of her face, and soullessness behind her eyes.

Behind her, their daughter continued to kick around, wailing above everything else. It was such an earsplitting, heart shattering cry; that it made Phil come back to his senses. John had just gotten up, rubbing the back of his head, which was bleeding. He stopped dead in his tracks, at the sight of Phil's body. He tried to make his way to the door, when Phil reached his left arm out, stopping him. He was again looking at the floor, feeling dread take over him. "Wait; please." He muttered. "How; how could you…? How is this even happening?!" John replied. "There's a lot that needs to be explained; I will give you the short story of it. An old woman along with her lackey forced me to turn into a werewolf two years ago." Jenny continued to cry, making his chest hurt.

"Okay, go on." John said. Phil sighed and looked up at John. "I was told to make Liana pregnant with this special tonic, and it worked. Thus tonight happened, it was supposed to be something that allowed me to come back to life." "Back to life; why?" John asked. "I'm apparently going to die, and I'm vital to this Army that the old woman and her partner have going. She said I was going to die and that the only person that could bring me back was a blood relative, such as my daughter here. I selfishly gave the tonic to Liana, even though, I didn't want too. I wasn't expecting that; that VIAL woman, to make night come so fast. Then I lost my mind and now she; Oh God, she's dead!"

Phil tore at his fur, yanking out tufts of it at a time, exposing bleeding skin. He ripped at this chest and face with the claws, throwing pieces of flesh all over the floor. Then a siren sounded nearby; the cops and an ambulance were coming. Phil jerked his head towards John, "Did you call them?" John shook his head. Phil started to prepare himself for what might happen. "Just do me this favor…please. You have to know I didn't want this to happen… I was going to marry her John."

John nodded his head while he gulped down saliva. "Take care of my daughter. Make sure she's raised normally and when the change begins for her first time, she will be confused. But I promise that one day she will understand. And I hope I can make amends to her and; and Liana. You already know her name." John nodded. Phil nodded back and with his last bits of restraint he got up to pick up his daughter, who remarkably fell asleep.

"They're resilient aren't they?" He asked John. "That they are Phillip." John said. When his hands held her, she looked like a small potato. She cracked her eyes wide open, looking into his plate-like ones. A bright toothless smile greeted him, along with a giggle. Phil sniffed, stifling back the pain that was overwhelming him, and then nuzzled his head against Jennifer's face. She grabbed his snout and giggled even more. "I'll always be with you Jenny. Just make sure you know this; if the day comes that I come back, I do not wish to hurt you anymore. I only hope you can deal with the change better than I did. Stay strong Jenny, I will be there whenever you need me. Goodbye my pride and joy." He handed Jenny over to John, who held her tightly.

Phil took one last look at Liana, and at Jenny then howled one more time then sprinted out the door, past the cops. John could hear yells and gun shots echoing down the road and sickening slashing noises as Phil cut the cops with his claws. John couldn't believe how this was even real, but he had no choice but to. Jenny groaned, and writhed in her blankets, rubbing her tiny face. Her left hand was furled with her thumb in her mouth. John walked outside then called the paramedics and some extra cops over towards the apartment. He had a hard time explaining the situation to them as they were all in utter shock as well.

"I have no idea what that thing was but it's gone now. We'll do an autopsy on the woman after we get her body out of the house. Judging by that bump on your head, you were in quite a struggle. Do you need assistance?" John shook his head, backing off so the EMT's could withdraw Liana. There was a sheet over her. The clock chimed eleven, when the body was finally taken from the house. John took Jenny back to his car, and then started the engine. He swore he could still hear howling a far ways away. and a giant figure running around off in the distance.

He had to drive safe so that Jenny could make it to his place. As he drove, his mind filled with so many questions and worry as he was supposed to raise a child now. He pushed the bad feelings back and continued driving, trying to deal with the events that took place just a few hours ago. It made no sense to him, but he figured it was best to just keep it to himself and hope that Jenny doesn't remember it. With that he kept driving, with a somewhat better feeling in his soul.
