It was midnight. They could hear the owl crying in the silent night. The black shadow ran past them behind their backs. GaLa Yue noticed it and turned to follow, with Lan QiLin in pursuit. The shadow entered the forest. The two chased the shadow to an abandoned house.
The two entered the house and saw Zhen Yi Chen's lifeless body hanging from the ceiling. They knew it was the work of demons. Suddenly they heard movement behind them. A group of Men in Dark Red clothes attacked the two. They fought with the Men in Dark Red but were outnumbered.
They were stronger than normal people and faster. They had excellent martial arts skills. It few attacked GaLa Yue, another few attacked Lan QiLin. They hit and injured GaLa Yue, kicked him in the chest and throw him off to the wall. Because of his illness, there were many times GaLa Yue felt weak and wasn't at his full power.
Lan QiLin had his hands full. GaLa Yue killed some of them but they keep coming. It seem endless. It was as if someone had it all planned, for the both of them to die here and no one would know about it. It must be my true enemy, GaLa Yue thought. He figure it wasn't the Drunken Wine Sect as it would be foolish to send their well-known first disciple to kill him. But Drunken Wine Sect could be involved as well. There was a bigger mastermind behind the death of GaLa manor. Who would want to kill him and why? GaLa Yue pondered over it as he fought.
Lan QiLin was getting kicked and hit by these men but as he was healthy and in better condition than GaLa Yue, he could fend off the killers, injuring them. Lan QiLin went over to help GaLa Yue, exchanging blows and moves with them. He stood protectively in front of GaLa Yue. "Who are you!? Why are you trying to kill us!? Why did you kill Zhen Yi Chen!?"
They were all silent as if they had no voice or simply because they didn't understand a word he said. They continue to attack, like they only know that they must kill the two.
They were heavily outnumbered and couldn't hold on much longer.
GaLa Yue felt weaker and weaker. The attackers carry poison with them. They threw poison at GaLa Yue, who failed to dodge in time.
GaLa Yue thought his end had come. But just then....
In the meantime, three figures hiding in the shadow were spying on the battle in the abandoned house. "Who's he? That's not our target, " asked Lu Hua Hua , famously known as the Flower Demon who had a reputation of great beauty despite her being very evil and vicious. "I don't know. It's his planning, " said Xie Xin, known as the Barbaric Demon who is dumb but strong. "Why did you kill him? He belongs to one of the seven sects? You're not afraid the Lord will be angry at you for acting without permission?" Hua Hua asked Chang Fu Lang, known as the Blood Demon and had a reputation of being smart, evil and the most powerful among the top 5 demons.
"My lord would be pleased with," Chang Fu Lang said cockily. The three watched the battle as if watching an entertaining show. But something made Chang Fu Lang shake with fear. Just when the man they have been spying on, almost got hit by poison darts, the sudden appearance of another man dressed in red caught Chang Fu Lang's attention.
"Oh no! We better go! " Chang Fu Lang said as he scrambled down the wall. "What? What's the hurry? " Hua Hua asked in confusion. Then the other two demons saw why Chang Fu Lang quickly ran. They too ran, as they recognized that newcomer in the battle.
They would die miserably if they were found.
