Early in the morning when the employees had yet to arrive at work, Oz stood before the mirror and tied his necktie while Caser recited to him his day's schedule. He hadn't gone home again and had slept in his office. He ordered Caser to bring him new clothes so that Natalia wouldn't suspect that he had stayed up all night doing work.
Caser continued to speak.
"At 9 you are going to have a meeting with the advertising department, After that around 12:30 you will be dinner meeting and after that by 2:30 you have a conference with the press–"
"Conference? Why?" he asked with confusion.
Caser was surprised that he didn't know about it. "DIdn't Miss Natalia tell you about this yesterday? She told me that she will let you know about this. The media is dying to know about your relationship with her." he stated to which Oz couldn't help but stay confused.
"Why would they care about our relationship? Did I make it public so that they could make a scene out of it?" His eyebrows creased.
"Miss Natalia insisted on making you attend the conference as it was for her fans who were desperately anticipating an interview with you." He made an innocent face. When it came to Natalia Oz would do anything to keep her happy so he gave him a nod. "Okay, continue with the schedule." HE said,
"After that, you are free for the day." HE said Oz was surprised to find his schedule empty for the first time in so long that it made him very uncomfortable for some reason.
"I am? How?" HE asked.
"You don't want to? You want to work?" HE asked with a weird expression on his face to which Oz realized that he had gotten way too obsessed with work. "Okay, get out of here and do some work. " Hen he had nothing to say in reply he simply shooed him away and fixed his collars.
The day started busy as he discussed the product advertising with the department's members. The graph of consumer interaction to the recent advertisement of his new product was exponentially rising showing that the product was awaited impatiently. After that, he went for lunch with a fellow company's director who shared some briefings for their new projects where he wanted Oz's corporation. It was a great investment project but he delayed it for further discussion after his products were successfully launched.
The meetings went well and Oz returned to his office where Casar was waiting for him with his new tuxedo. He thought it was way too over the top but he couldn't help but wear it as it was a requirement. After freshening up and changing clothes Caser stared at him acting as if he was stunned.
"Boss, I think you should change back to your usual suits." HE said bluntly, making Oz look down at himself puzzled.
"Does it look bad?' HE asked.
"No, I mean if Miss Natalia sees you like this she might be persistent on marrying you today and we can't afford the smoochies smooch just yet.." He snickered at the end and touched his fingers together intimately causing Oz to give him a dead look, but Casar was too joyous because he had caught Oz off guard and had made jokes about him. Oz gave him a stern look and nodded. "I think I have given you way too much freedom that you are talking to me like that. Joke with me one more time and I will fire you."
Caser zipped his mouth when he heard the threat of losing his job and looked down with guilt. "Sorry Boss I got a little carried away by the fan fiction I read about the two of you." HE said.
Oz felt like his head was on fire, He simply gritted his teeth before tugging on his sleeve.
"Get going! We have to reach it in time." He said to Caser who lowered his head and headed out of the door flustered.
The conference was held in a seven-star hotel. It was a very famous place and was often associated with celebrities as it was known to be their haven. When his car drove through the driveway he saw tens of hundreds of reporters swarming outside the place and taking pictures of every moment. They screamed at Oz's arrival as he was nothing less than a celebrity in their eyes. And today was his day. The valet ran to the car and opened the door, Oz came out of the car with black shades on and just when the people got a glimpse of him they shouted madly. He gritted his teeth and looked down as the screams annoyed him. HE made his way into the hotel while Caser pushed the people away that were trying to rip Oz's flesh.
After fighting off the hungry and uncivilized reporters Oz was greeted by nauseous well behaved men that waited for his arrival in the main hall. When Oz took the seat at the stage and any light shuttered in his face causing him to almost lose his eyesight. The overly excited crowd finally calmed down and took their seat and the questioning began.
One after another the reporter asked him questions about his and Natalia's life and how they had met. Oz kept the story simple and precise where he told them that he was serious and she took a liking to him and in turn asked him to date her. The story was just like Natalia had told the press and the fact that Natalia had made the first move made them feel that the story was better than the mainstream stories. While the questioning continued one of the reporters asked a question unrelated to his love life and asked.
"We all know that you walked up the ladder of success with your exceptional persistence and hard work, But what was your motivation all along? Was there someone who highly inspired you in becoming the person you are today?"
Oz, who was answering the previous questions with no problem, paused at this one and looked down at his hands that trembled all of a sudden and Caser noticed it too.
