Chapter 9 - New Guy In The Class

Rangin smiled and patted his brother's hard-muscled shoulder roughly.

"Good luck." He said sincerely, but still a mocking intonation there.

"I hope your advice is not wrong, big bro!" His brother replied in a threatening tone.

Rangin shook his head with a laugh, "Of course this is the best advice!"

Then his face and voice turned serious, "But, remember. If you fail until your marks are fused, then you have to give up and leave that girl forever."

"Yes, I know," Hadyan said reluctantly.

**

In the human world, Hadyan found a little family who didn't have children.

The Dewanto family.

He stayed there. That made a husband and wife couple named Hari Dewanto and Lusi Dewanto thought that they had a son who is now turning 18 years old.

Now, Hadyan disguised himself as a human, stayed, and acted as a human to make his plan to get Tasia's heart so that the girl would voluntarily become the empress of his kingdom.

"I'm going to my friend's house, Mom," Hadyan asked from his fake mother's permission. More precisely, a woman whom he had bewitched to become a mother to himself, the imitation child.

"Okey.. but don't come home too late, Son." Said the woman who was cooking dinner for her little family.

Then Hadyan went on his fake father's motorbike. He rode that iron horse towards Tasia's house which was only a few blocks from his human house.

He closed his eyes for a moment. It could be said, that he had some sort of radar on the marks he made on Tasia's back, so that wherever the girl was, he would always know.

Tasia was not at home. She was at a crossroads alone. Then Hadyan accelerated the speed of his motorbike to approach the girl he was targeting.

Tasia walked slowly with a small red bag wrapped around her shoulders, she headed to Marya's house which was next to her house block. Faintly, she heard a sound of a motorbike coming from behind, getting closer to her. So she decided to shift to walk closer to the roadside.

Then a large motorbike drove past her at a speed that was not recommended in a residential area, and suddenly the motorbike slipped and fell sideways a few meters in front of Tasia.

"Oh, My God!" The girl immediately ran to a guy who fell from the unlucky motorbike.

"Oh boy.. Why did you fall? Are you okay?" Tasia exclaimed by helping to lift the motorbike body that hit one of the guy's legs. Although her effort was actually useless because her strength was not much at all.

The guy shifted his body until he managed to get out of the motorbike's body that was on top of his leg. Tasia immediately helped him up.

"Oh boy.. You have to be careful when riding, don't speed up. Even though this residential area is quiet, sometimes some children are playing on the road." Tasia said.

But that girl became very surprised because she was confused with that guy. Instead of being in pain, he smiled as he grabbed her wrist.

"Y.. you could go of me now. You can stand up already." Tasia pulled her arm quickly until it was released. She began to be wary if this guy actually wanted to do things. From this behaviour, Tasia could guess that he was a strange guy.

"Thank you, you are very kind." Said the guy. Those words somehow felt familiar to Tasia's ears.

"You're welcome. Next time, please be careful. By the way, your leg is bleeding." Tasia pointed to the guy's right leg which had torn his pants.

"It's okay. I'm Hadyan, what's your name?" He stretched out his right hand.

Hadyan? The name sounded familiar. But She never knew anyone by the name of Hadyan. Weird. Tasia thought to herself.

"Ehm.." Hadyan cleared his throat, making Tasia snap out of her thoughts.

"Um... I'm Tasia." She returned Hadyan's handshake quickly and was quite surprised by the cold sensation from his palm. She immediately pulled her hand back.

"Looks like your motorbike is okay. You can go home or go to the clinic. I'll excuse myself then." Tasia immediately walked away in a hurry.

"Thank you.. Tasia!" Hadyan exclaimed.

Tasia looked up awkwardly and waved her hand a little. She was confused about how to act with it. On the other hand, he was a stranger and seemed weird, but on the other hand, Tasia was the type of person who was friendly to others and didn't have a heart for ignoring other people. A smile broke on Hadyan's lips. It had taken one step forward.

Monday, Universedo Vocational High School.

"I'm sorry again, Marya. Yesterday I was really afraid that a strange guy would follow me, so I had to go back home." Tasia said regretfully.

"Yeah.. just relax, Tasia. Does that guy look like a criminal?"

Tasia lowered her head in doubt and shook her head, "Actually he didn't look like a criminal at all. In fact, I think... his face was quite good looking."

"What? Then why were you even afraid?" asked Tata in surprise.

"I don't know.. I just felt scared for no reason. Plus, he was a little weird, he should be in pain from falling. But instead, he smiled like he didn't feel anything and when I shook hands with him.. Geez! his hands were so cold!" Tasia shuddered.

"Hahahahahaha! You're so funny, Tasia. You're too innocent!" Marya's laughter was followed by Tata.

"Tasia, he's not weird. But he tried to look manly, even though I'm sure he was in a lot of pain and the adrenaline of falling from the motorbike made his hands cold. Not only his hands that turned cold, but his entire body too. But still, he tried to spread his charm to you." Tata told.

But strangely, Tasia could not feel the humour that her two best friends were discussing. There was something in her heart that made her feel uneasy.

"I don't know.. I'm still feel something is strange. Maybe you are right, the oddity actually comes from me."

"Never mind. It's just your feeling, Tasia. Don't be too paranoid." Marya said by embracing her best friend's shoulder.

"Marya! Have you done yesterday's assignment yet?!" Patra shouted at her from the door.

"Assignment? Oh! I forgot! Physics assignment." She exclaimed, patting her forehead.

"Marya's habit..." Tata muttered.

"I'm going back to class, okay? We'll meet in the cafeteria during break time!" Marya immediately took her bag and walked away in a hurry.

Fifteen minutes later, the school bell finally rang.

In just five minutes, the school corridor had been seen deserted. Almost all students had entered their respective classes.

"I still can't believe I can sit in this chair. Actually, I don't believe your story that I disappeared in the middle of the sea." Tasia said.

Tata sighed, "Just stop it. No need to talk about it anymore. After all, we have now returned home safely. Regarding that incident, everything is a miracle of God."

Tasia smirked, "Yes.. I feel proud to be one of God's miracles."

"You could be born into the world was also a miracle of God, you know!"

Their conversation was interrupted when a short-haired female teacher with black-framed glasses entered the classroom.

Led by the class president, they all greeted their homeroom teacher arrival who was a math teacher, Mrs Vika. But something was different on that sunny morning. Now, there was an unknown student who was following their teacher.

Mrs Vika did not immediately sit at her desk. She took the time to stand in front of the class side by side with the new student.

"Kids, starting today, you have a new friend in this class. His name is Hadyan Dewanto." Her words were followed by the roar of the students' voices responding in whispers.

"Well, Hadyan. You can sit in an empty chair. And for the task books, you could take them during break time. In the meantime, you could use a notebook first."

"Okay, Mrs Thank you." He answered politely, immediately stepped to the back of the table which was still empty.

All eyes were on the guy. Following him, who walked until he sat on the empty chair that Mrs Vika pointed earlier. Tasia and Tata were no exception. They also paid attention to the new kid. Then they turned back to the front.

"New guy, huh? Bet he could be a new celebrity at school." Tata said, commenting on the new guy's face.

"Tata!" Tasia patted Tata's arm while glaring.

"What?" Tata furrowed her brows in confusion. This friend of hers often acted incoherently.

"That's him, Ta! He's the guy who fell off the motorbike yesterday!"
