Hello younglings, it is I, Boney. This is a rest chapter for volume 1. Volume 1 is comprised of Morbius's baby steps to his path to strength. Many might ask, why are there so many techniques in the short span of 20 chapters. I want to show that techniques have flaws, but a person's creativity could compensate for it.
It also took many techniques for Morbius to cultivate pure energy so I think the pace is quite reasonable.
For a whole arc, there is no battle. It is natural since our MC had been guarding a peaceful gate all his life. Now that he had an opportunity, he is not someone who would suddenly become cocky and engage in battle with unknown entities and emerge as a winner.
I want to establish the wits of MC early on. I don't want to have an idiot who could suddenly defeat a battalion with his out of nowhere brain. The older and more ignorant a person is, if he is smart, he would acknowledge his shortcomings before he engages in a battle. Unless the situation forbids him one would hone and sharpen his sword before trying to cut an enemy.
So what could you say about volume 1?
