A soft knock startled Amorie, and she swiftly made her way to the door, cracking it to see who was there.
"Hello?" She says to the mysterious figure standing in the shadows just beyond the reach of light coming from the stained glass window to the left of the door. She catches a glimpse of his green eyes. He slowly stepped up, hands behind his back, his head held high. The shadows still concealing his face; when he spoke, his voice was low and grave.
"Are you Princess Amorie?" she tries to get a better look at him, confused.
"Depends; who's asking?" her voice is laced with sass. The mystery man clears his throat harshly. Then steps into the light. Standing 5' 10", this tan-skinned man has an out-of-place feel about him. A particularly notable feature is his perfectly manicured nails. He has a long face, a well-formed nose, and full lips. His light green eyes are hooded, and he has thick eyebrows. He has short, thick, brown hair, which features a central parting. He has long arms, a stocky torso, and toned legs.
"Where are my manners." he lets out a long cold chuckle, "My name is Prince Derog Heaven. The firstborn of King Sebastian Heaven." he-Derog takes a bow and takes her hand, placing a kiss on it. Amorie flinches at the gesture, unsure of how to proceed.
Just then, they could hear footsteps approaching echoing through the corridor. Amorie glances in the direction of the sound; when she looks back, Derog was gone just as mysteriously as he had come. She stands there dumbfounded.
Still looking in the direction, she thinks Derog went, and she jumps when a hand touches her shoulder. Turning around, she is met with hazel eyes, she knew those eyes from somewhere but couldn't quite put her finger on where.
He spoke, "Princess, is everything alright?" that voice, now she remembered.
"Ewan?" she asks softly. He nods. "How did you know I was the princess?"
"I, uh, just a hunch because of the fancy dress." She was wearing a mint green off-the-shoulder dress with silver trim on the bodice and a cluster of flowers around the waist and sleeves; it had a silver bow tied in the front around the waist.
"Oh, it's that obvious?" Ewan nods. She continues, "I don't know who you are, though." he rubs the back of his neck.
"I'm Prince Ewan Heaven, the second born of King Sebastian Heaven," he says shyly. Amorie freezes. Is he the brother of Derog? But they look nothing alike.

A few days later, Amorie and Ewan were in the garden talking when she suddenly felt that someone was watching her. She turns and looks around but doesn't see anything.
"Hello, earth to Amorie!" Ewan says dramatically, waving his hand in front of her face. She startles and looks at him with a sheepish smile. "Sorry, got lost in thought." He sighs. "Did you even hear what I said?"
"Uhm...no...sorry." she rubs the back of her neck and looks down at the path. He takes her chin and makes her look at him. "It's alright, and I was saying that I enjoy walks in the garden." She nods, " Me too."
He takes her hand, "Is this okay? I didn't want to do anything you're uncomfortable with." she smiles and interlocks their fingers. "Yeah, this is okay." They continue to walk through the roses of many colors, red, pink, yellow, and blue. Then Amorie notices a particular flower bed; it has flowers with white at the base, pink, purple, and blues around the rims. She gasps and crouches down next to it. "Are-are these Wyvern Pansys?" Ewan looks at her confused, then follows her gaze to the flowers. He bites his lower lip in concentration, trying to remember the name of the flower. "I think so. Why?"
She just keeps looking at the flowers, lost in thought, and doesn't hear him. How can they grow here? They need high altitude, and we aren't on a mountain. Wait, how did they even get here? As far as I know, only Wyverns knew about their existence. They are unique flowers with healing properties that only Wyverns can unlock.
"Amorie. AMRORIE!" she snaps her head to look at him. She 'hmms,' and he groans. "You weren't listening again! I was talking to you, and you were in a trance not listening to me."
"I'm sorry, it's just, I thought they could only grow in high altitudes. H-how did you get them to grow here?"
"I'm not sure. I didn't even know what they were or where they came from," he admits honestly. She nods and stands up, "Shall we continue the walk?"
